Team Screaming Hyperdeath!! III: The "Spiffy" Team. (Gen 5 OU)

Hey Everyone,
It has been almost a year since I've made an RMT thread (or a good team, for that matter). Then one day I had a great idea for a team and started working with that...

That team sucked so I made it better, and that is what you see here;

Weakness/Resistances

I tried very hard to cover my team's weaknesses while also covering every potential threat, I think I did that quite well.

Now, without further ado...

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Att / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Fire Punch
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Trick

J
irachi is my go-to guy for leading off the team, If there's no better option available I will generally open with him. I originally planned to use a bronzong, but i found that jirachi helped me more, by shutting down those annoying walls and messing with set-up sweepers. Stealth rock is added here for the sole reason that nothing else on the team can carry it. Fire punch/Iron head give me decent coverage and allow me to take out the likes of nattorei and scizor.

Birijion @ Life Orb
Trait: Justice Heart
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Att)
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Birijion is my answer to bulky waters, grounds and nattorei, who would otherwise give my team a lot of trouble. He can also function as a Lead versus Sandstorm and Rain teams that are oh so popular nowadays. Thanks to Giga drain's boosted BP I now have a semi-reliable method of recovering life orb recoil and Doryuuzu's X-scissor, which is just barely a 2hko. Focus Blast helps me down steels and Sazandora, while HP ice is used for Lati@s and other dragons, OHKOing all of them barring miracle scale Dragonite.

Rankurusu (M) @ Leftovers

Magic Guard
EVs: 220 HP / 252 Def / 36 SpA
Bold Nature (+Def, -Att)
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Recover

What you see here is my answer to stall teams, I chose to use Psychic over Shadow Ball to get the drop on Roobushin, who causes me a great deal of grief. The EVs allow for a +2 Doryuuzu's X-scissor to never OHKO, and thanks to magic guard I don't have to factor in Sandstorm or SR/Spikes. I dumped the spare EVs into SATK for a little extra kick.

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers

Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 52 SpA / 16 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Att)
- Boil Over
- Ice Beam
- Wish
- Protect

Vaporeon is a returner from the original Team Screaming Hyperdeath and has been a major asset to my team, passing wishes to other members and helping me tame the rampant dragons of OU. Boil over provides me with a semi-reliable status move that lets me cripple physical sweepers, while I picked ice beam over toxic to kill of Garchomp.

Magic Floating Dog!

Terakion @ Balloon
Justice Heart
EVs: 24 HP / 252 Att / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish

Terakion is an absolute beast and my late game sweeper, I originally used a choice banded set, but I was recommended a dual boost balloon set and thus far it has been a change for the better. Swords dance is used versus slower, stall teams, while rock polish is used to clean up faster offensive teams, such as rain dance and sun teams. Balloon allows me to take on Doryuuzu, as he would have to use a resisted move to pop it, allowing me to either set up rock polish and sweep or just end him with close combat. Stone edge provides good coverage and a great STAB combo.

Sazandora (M) @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
EVs: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Att)
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- U-turn

Sazandora functions as my revenge killer and scout, firing off super strong draco meteors and, thanks to his plethora of good resistances, forcing switches and then allowing me to U-turn to a counter and potentially set up a sweep. Earth power was chosen over focus blast as I fear Sazandora is too frail to afford a crucial miss against something like tyranitar or heatran, who are 2hko'd and 1hko'd by earth power respectively, although this means that balloon heatran can be a pain, but hey, that's why the great arceus in the sky gave us U-turn! Flamethrower completes this set and gives me maximum coverage as well as downing nattorei, scizor and forretress.

And that's the 3rd Generation of Team Screaming Hyperdeath!!. I'm open to all suggestions and comments and I'm very willing to change my team around for the better.

Dedicated to the Memory of Screaming Hyperdeath!! the Gyarados, who sadly passed away this year when, in a fit of rage, he collided with a power generator. May he rest in peace.

On sazandora you should definaltely use focus blast/surf over earth power. You say that sazandora is too frail to have a crucial miss on ttar and heatran yet you contradict yourself by saying it only 2hko's ttar, which means it can hit you back.

What are the random 24 hp ev's on terakion? other than that i love that set.

Other than that the team looks pretty effective.

The HP EVs are there 'cause Terrakion has a weird base speed so i dropped it to outspeed positive base 105's, and HP seemed like the best place to throw it.
As for Sazandora, I meant that It would miss some crucial kills upon switching in, probably could've phrased it better. I'll keep switching between Focus blast and Earth power but for now i'm going to avoid surf on account of sunny day teams really ruining my fun, especially those running heatran.

Yeah, except if you're faced with another Terakion, Birijion, Kerudio or Infernape and you didn't use Rock Polish yet than you're screwed. Just max your speed. It's better than the minimal HP investment.

Hmm, only one fighting resist. Yeah, Roopushin and Breloom both seem like huge pains in the ass. These days teams need at least two fighting resists. I suggest replacing Sazandora for Latios. You still levitate but you also resist fighting moves and your speed and special attack are much greater making you a better revenge killer. Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse and Sufe have great neutral coverage and then your last move can be Thunderbolt, STAB Psychic or HP Fire. Latios can also Trick and leave a wall severely crippled, like other Rankurusu or Nattorei.
