After reading advice about my chatot over at serebii, i decided to make a UU team for use in UU AND OU, but as i decided to make it a rain dance team, chatot couldn't stay. Also, my whole team's movesets are (sadly) taken off smogon as I couldn't make them work. So, here they are

AT A GLANCE:

Surrprising Sparkball (Electrode) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 Atk/228 Spd/28 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Explosion
- Rain Dance
- Taunt
- Thunder

Electrode provides you with a fast lead that is capable of setting up rain quickly. Relicanth will most likely be stopped by common leads carrying taunt such as Aerodactyl and Azelf. Electrode is an awesome suicide lead with its blistering speed it can move before most opposing leads and can set up rain. With taunt, Electrode can stop opposing leads such as Bronzong, Aerodactyl, Azelf and Hippowdon from setting up Stealth Rock.

Surprising rainbowfish (Gorebyss) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 36 HP/220 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Rain Dance

Gorebyss is one of the most powerful special attackers available in UU.Gorebyss can easily tear through entire teams in UU and OU. Surf is standard fare for a STAB attack sporting 114 base Special Attack. With the speed EV's you will be able to outspeed Jolly Swellow while the rain is in effect. Ice Beam is to hit Grass types and Hidden power Grass is for Quagsire.

Surpising Oyster (Omastar) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Ancientpower

Oma has the highest sp. atk of any water this side of kyogre and best of all its UU! This little star can rip things up even more than gorebyss, and it is also a rain starter if you want it to be. Go with 252 sp. atk 252 spd 4 hp with a life orb and hidden power electric, surf, ice beam and ancient power. This is a potent sweeper, and it can be used late game to very high effectivness.

Surprising Rockfish (Relicanth) (M) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Head Smash
- Rain Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall

My second Dancer. Rain Dance if Electrode's is down.Head Smash as a stong rock move, Earthquake to deal with Electric types, and Waterfall For A strong stab move against opposition

Surprising Seal (Dewgong) (M) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Rain Dance
- Surf
- Rest
- Toxic

My third Dancer. Rain dance if Relicanths wore off, Surf for STAB, Toxic to stall enemies out, and Rest to heal fully and take advantage of Hydration.

Surprising Claws (Kabutops) (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 100 HP/252 Atk/156 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- X-Scissor
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Stone Edge

Kabutops is a lot more powerful than seaking, and it has swift swim just like seaking, making it a better overall choice for a uu rain team. You could go with the CB set, or the SD set as well. If you wish to stay CB, 100 hp 252 atk 156 spd with X-scizor (bad pun), waterfall, aqua jet, and stone edge is the way to go.

My main threats are steel types as i have nothing to hit them Super Effectivly. Please help, and take note that this is a UU team which I will use in OU also. Thank You!

LOL team.

It's pretty original.
The idea is great, but they aren't bulky enough to survive things like mence outrage. The team is also a bit slow. I don't know how to fix it really.
You need a uu steel.

What does the rain do? You have absolutely no swift swimmers.

I don't get it really. You're running a Rain team, yet you're really not abusing the rain at all. Parasect can use Rain to heal a little each turn, but it's still not going to last very long. Dewgong is your other Rain abuser, which is completely walled by Poliwrath, and other Water Absorbers in UU.

I don't even want to think of this team in OU play.

Well, the first thing I would do is replace Ampharos with Electrode and make Electrode your lead. A Rain dance lead should be able to set up Rain as quick as possible and Electrode does that job perfectly. I would use the following set:

Electrode@ Damp Rock
Ev's: 252 Atk/ 228 Spe/28 SpA
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Static
-Rain Dance
-Explosion
-Thunder
-Taunt

Electrode provides you with a fast lead that is capable of setting up rain quickly. Relicanth will most likely be stopped by common leads carrying taunt such as Aerodactyl and Azelf. Electrode is an awesome suicide lead with its blistering speed it can move before most opposing leads and can set up rain. With taunt, Electrode can stop opposing leads such as Bronzong, Aerodactyl, Azelf and Hippowdon from setting up Stealth Rock.

Now that you have a lead that can set up rain as fast as possible, you need a sweeper that can take advantage of the rain and start dealing damage to your opponent right away. Since you have Relicanth as one of your Physical Sweepers, I would suggest using a Special Sweeper such as Goryebyss. Gorybyss makes a great sweeper under rain and is capable of dealing plenty of damage to your opponent. I would use this set:

Goryebyss@ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Modest
Ev's: 36 HP/ 252 SpA/ 220 Spe
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power Grass
-Rain Dance

Gorebyss is one of the most powerful special attackers available in UU.Gorebyss can easily tear through entire teams in UU and OU. Surf is standard fare for a STAB attacksporting 114 base Special Attack. With the speed EV's you will be able to outspeed Jolly Swellow while the rain is in effect. Ice Beam is to hit Grass types and Hidden power Grass is for Quagsire.

Now, I really do not see the point of using Glaceon as your Wisher or even having Glaceon on your team at all. The rest of your team is either extremely offensive or purely for supporting these offensive pokes. Glaceon would just slow down the pace of your battle and cause you to lose momentum. I would suggest using a Physical Sweeper such as Kabutops. Kabutops is one of the best water typed physical attackers, and it makes a great addition to any rain teams in need for a physical sweeper. Rock / Water is an amazing combined STAB allowing kabutops to hit many Pokemon for neutral/ super effective damage. In addition, Kabutops can use the Fighting / Rock combination by combining its Stone Edge with Superpower or Brick Break.Kabutops can use Swords Dance very effectively to boost its own attack making it a scary sweeper to face. In the rain, a SD Waterfall can OHKO a Skarmory. Kabutops also has access to Aqua Jet allowing him to finish off frail sweepers such as Azelf and Gengar.

Now, I suggested three possible Pokemon for your team. I suggest taking a look at Rain Guide. That should help you get ideas for possible Pokemon that excell in rain.

Good Luck :nerd:

Wow. What are you others on about gving him a hard time about it for OU >_>. He made this team for UU and I am sure that he only expects to use this team serioulsy in UU. Anyways good team but theres some things that need to be fixed up. Firstly having rain and then not giving Ampharos Thunder is a bit of a letdown as Ampharaos can get great STAB on it unlike Relicanth, So Replace something for Thunder. I recommend Discharge. Points for originality and not just going out there and using Kabutops or Goreybyss though. Now suprisingly CBSeaking is an absoulute beast along side Goreybyss and Kabutops in the UU tier. But to to keep the originiality I urge you to use Seaking. Switft Swim along side a Choice Band with Rain coming down for 50% extra power on its moves with STAB on all that is so much fun and only means something really bad for the opponent which I know you can guess!

So heres the set I recommend you to use:

dpmfsa119.png

Seaking@Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Trait: Swift Swim
~ Waterfall
~ Megahorn
~ Return
~ Hydro Pump

Ok and your main move here is Waterfall.

There aren't actually any UU dragons about =/ Sure the ice helps alongside wish support and curse etc etc, but it just wastes turns in the rain and that can be critical. So I would have to say Seaking > Glaceon. But in the end its up to you.

Keep the Relicanth and then you can actually have an original rain dance team and not just one with all the same pokemon always used. Enjoy the set and even if you don't like the set at first be sure to test it and you'll see what I mean. Love the rest of the team and good use of Simple with Bibarels Charge Beam.

Hope I helped out and best of luck with the team!

thank you both for your comments, i will use electrode, gorebyss and seaking. and retroblast, read my post at the top, it says i will be using this team in OU, so you might want to change your post a little bit.
ampharos, parasect and glaceon are gone!

This is supposed to be a Rain Team, yet you barely use the privalage of actually having rain in play. Try adding stuff like Seaking, Gorebyss and Kabutops like mentioned above. Although i commend you for your originality.

Urm, way ahead of you

Despite the fact that I do not play UU and I'm a horrible team rater, I have played OU Rain Dance and I will make a rate. Rain teams are made to abuse rain, by using Swift Swimmers, and to a lesser extent, Dry Skin and Hydration Pokemon. Things like Kabutops and Toxicroak will do good. Having Seaking and other non-Swift Swimming Waters seems useless to me. Are they in there because they're Water type? Sure, they get double STAB, but what happens when a random Scarfer comes in and starts firing Thunderbolts?

Here's a guide on Rain Dance teams. Use it to it's fullest, as it includes Pokemon recommendations and a threat list. Steels are not your only threat, stuff like Shedinja, Golduck, Lapras, etc. wall you in UU, in OU, Tyranitar, Vaporeon, Empoleon, etc. wall you. Your team is terribly weak to Electric types, and you have little to no way of fighting back. I suggest that this team should only be played in UU, in OU, the team would be destroyed to common OU threats.

Anyway, happy New Year to you and have a nice day.

Urm, aren't gorebyss and seaking swift swimmers? and isn't dewgong a hydration user?
Decided to change relicanth's ability to (bolded for kingdra-13) Swift Swim, and changed Skull Bash for Waterfall

What's with Relicanth? You can't have both Rock Head and Swift Swim at the same time. There's a reason we use Kabutops instead.

Oh yeah, kingdra, instead of just SAYING that my team has a massive electric weakness, HELP me sort it out
Why the hell do you think I posted a link instead of typing out a wall of text? Well, it's because someone already did. It's the ultimate answer to every single one of your questions.

Ok rain in uu is a really good stratagy, but you are not using 2 of the bests rain abusers in uu.

I would replace seaking for kabutops.
For the SD set, you should go with the same evs with SD, Waterfall, Stone edge, and X-scizor.

The second large threat you are missing is omastar.
Alternativly, you could use that set with rain dance over ancient power and make relicanth a scarf or band user. I would put him over bibarel as bibarel really dosen't abuse rain outside of boosted surfs.

Hope I helped and good luck.

This will not do well in OU.
You bearly have any Rain Abusers.
And if you do use this team in OU
put in Hp Electric over Grass.
And put in the Ludicolo from analysis over Bibarel.

ok, i will add kabutops and omastar. Bibarel is in a mono normal team now, and as i don't like have the same pokemon in 2 teams, hes coming out of this one. Kabutops better be as good as you say, cause it now has a high expectation to catch up to, as seaking was an awsome party member.
gotten rid of aqua ring on dewgong, and added toxic
