REGISTEEL--SCEPTILE--MISMAGIUS--MILTANK--MILOTIC--DUGTRIO

I have only had this team around an hour and a half but can already see that it is working well. In 7 fights it went undefeated (except where I got too cocky and fought a team of ubers). Now that I have a somewhat decent team I am going to try and perfect it. Here is the team in more details:

REGISTEEL
379.png

Nature: Careful
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/100 Atk/156 Sp Def
Moveset:
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

I like this as a lead because it can normally withstand a few attacks to set up Stealth Rock. It is also surprisingly good at killing the opponents lead, which I have done with it quite often. I chose Toxic over Thunder Wave because after a few turns the toxic damage can really build up whereas Thunder Wave seems risky as it doesnt always stop the foe.

SCEPTILE

4316549226a8104342297ml.jpg

Nature: Jolly
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
Moveset:
- Swords dance
- Leaf Blade
- Dragon Claw
- Brick Break

At the moment, Sceptile is my favourite sweeper as it has saved my butt in like, half of the matches I have used him in. For example after some bad play from me I was left with 2 pokemon (Sceptile and Milotic) and the opponent had 5 pokemon left. After one Swords Dance, Sceptile proceeded to sweep his whole team. Leaf Blade is Sceptile's main attacking move with Dragon Claw and Brick Break in there for type coverage.

MISMAGIUS

mismagius.png

Nature: Timid
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 52 HP/204 Sp Atk/252 Speed
Moveset:
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power (Fighting)

Another nice sweeper that I have relied on once or twice although it requires that I can get the sub in and outspeed the opponent so that I can Calm Mind then Shadow Ball. Hidden Power is there again, for type coverage.

MILTANK

miltank.jpg

Nature: Impish
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/252 Defence/6 Speed
Moveset:
- Seisemic Toss
- Body Slam
- Milk Drink
- Heal Bell

This has proved great at taking physical attacks and also switching in to heal all status problems from my team. It has two similar moves in Seisemic Toss and Body Slam however I generally use Body Slam hoping for the paralysis and then use Seisemic Toss to keep getting down their health. I was thinking about Toxic in place of Body Slam but am still unsure.

MILOTIC

1c864043f881000eec8339cff30752651227493341_full.gif

Nature: Timid
Item: Choice Specs
EVs: 252 Sp Atk/252 Speed/4 HP
Moveset:
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power Grass
- Dragon Pulse

With Milotic I wanted to surprise the foe with having an offensive one with choice specs rather than the usual Bulky Milotic. It hasn't really worked as planned though as it isn't doing enough damage and is also Dieing quite easily too. I would like to replace this with some sort of sweeper but not sure what.

DUGTRIO

51.png

Nature: Adamant
Item: Choice Band
EVs: 252 Attack/224 Speed/32 HP
Moveset:
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Sucker Punch

This is a great revenge killer and works very well at it, it has killed everybody I have switched into with it. I like the moveset as I seem to be able to OHKO everything with these moves.

Brief team explanation: I will start with Registeel and set up SR and then Toxic the lead. Registeel can then take out most leads most notably ambipom (who seems to be the lead of choice at the moment) in 2 hits. I am then generally low on health so just earthquake and die as I can't bring him in later due to SR.
Then looking at the opponent I will either bring in Dugtrio to revenge kill or try to set up an early game sweep with either Sceptile or Mismagius. For Sceptie I SD and then use Leaf Blade unless someone resists it in which case I use one of the other attacks. If I bring in Mismagius on something that it resists I use substitute on the predicted switch and then Calm mind. Depending on whether they break my sub I will calm mind again. Once the sub is broken I use Shadow Ball which is very powerful fter 2+ Calm minds.
If the opponent brings in a sweeper I will switch to Miltank as it is good at absorbing damage and after 2-3 Seisemic toss' plus SR damage most are dead. At the moment I am leaving Milotic till the end for some reason but he seems to be good at killing opponents last 1-2 pokemon if all of mine die so he is OK in that position for now but I will probably change him later.

^^Is that good enough team description.^^

That is my team, I have put a lot of effort into this thread - it took me over an hour just to write this first post so I ask that if you rate this, to please take your time. I need honest rates and also something to replace Milotic. I also seem to have a lot of Leftovers users. If there is another item that fits better I would like to know about it.

Thanks for your time

next time please briefly explain your team more.

your lead registeel seems fine except for toxic. i can see your point on how you favor toxic over twave, but twave will allow your registeel to paraflinch something to death with iron head and allow your other pokemon to outspeed scarf rotom which can threaten mismagius, scarf honchcrow which will also prevent your mismagius from setting up and probably night slash your whole team by outspeeding them, etc.

Sceptile and Mismagius look fine.

I suggest that you probably add a few sp def evs to your MILTANK due to the fact that spiritomb will easily cause huge damage after probably 1-2 CM.

Giving a choice item to a milotic is a bit odd since milotic's offensive side isn't too good and you won't have lefties. Sticking to a defensive one such as a sleeptalker would be great.

Dug is fine.

I hope i helped.

Yeah thanks, I just lost my first matc due to a missclick where I was stuck on Ice beam on Milotic when I wanted Hydro pump against a fire pokemon. Wasn't helpful. I will probably edit this team tommorrow after a few more testing sessions today.

I am now trialing Blaziken in the place of Milotic as it didnt seem to fit in with the team. I would also like more rates as I want to know what to change about my team.

Blaziken with choice band is working out better and I will edit the first post later.

Cmon guys I was hoping for more thn one post. In Milotics place I have Blaziken with Choice Scarf
- Flare Blitz
- Thunderpunch
- Brick Break
- Blaze Kick

Basically fast sweeper

Registeel as a lead...? Eh I don't know about that. Maybe it's just me but I see a lot of Arcanine and Ambipom. Consider Thunder Wave > Toxic on him so he can help cripple more opposing sweepers while keep a possibilty of parahaxing.

Also, Blaziken (mostly Mixiken) running Shadow Claw, Overheat, Sky Uppercut will rush through this team except for Dugtrio and Milotic. You might wanna keep an eye out for that. Hope I could help.

Is that a common set? I don't think I've ever seen one of those. And Superpower>Sky Uppercut.

Anyways, though, if you want an Offensive pokemon to replace Milotic, I suggest...Milotic.

Milotic@Life Orb
Timid 252 satk/252 spd/6 hp
Hydro Pump/Surf
Ice Beam
HP Grass/Electric
Recover

HP Grass is generally preferred over HP Electric to hit things like Lanturn and Quagsire hard, though if you're particularly worried about Mantine, HP Electric has that advantage. Hydro Pump seems to be the preferred STAB.

I would recommend something to check LO TechniTop, as he can really wreak havoc on this team. He can easily take out both of your walls with Close Combat, your only fighting resist with Sucker/Bullet Punch, and take out the rest of your team with it's powerful priority and bulk.

I would recommend a simple Support Uxie with Psychic over Miltank, as it completely walls TechniTop and a lot of other potential threats. This will also take a better spot as your lead, as Registeel just doesn't really do that well, what with the likes of Moltres, Typhlosion and Arcanine running around right now.

Uxie @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/ 248 Def/ 8 SAtk
Relaxed Nature
-Thunder Wave
-U-turn
-Psychic
-Yawn

Registeel just makes a better Stealth Rock user than Uxie because of his massive amount of resistances, allowing him to use it on predictable switches.

Thunder Wave is great to hit those fast leads, crippling them for the rest of the game; no one really predicts a first turn T-wave, so it's great to have. U-turn is for scouting, Yawn is to allow for easier switches and Psychic is for the aforementioned Hitmontop. 8 SAtk guarantees the 2HKO on 252 HP/ 0 SDef Hitmontop, even without rocks. Relaxed nature allows for maximum U-turn damage.

For Sceptile, I would suggest Earthquake over Brick Break and Life Orb over Leftovers. Dual Screens aren't too common in UU, and normal types are already hit hard enough by Swords Danced Leaf Blade (Chansey gets OHKOd with a Life Orb after SD). If you look at Brick Break's super effctive power of 150 compared to Leaf Blade's 135 after STAB, Brick Break seems like a poor choice. Earthquake can hit Registeel, Steelix, Drapion, and fire-types much harder, and is overall a good coverage move. Life Orb over Leftovers because even though Sceptile has decent defenses, it should be sweeping most of the time, and not switching into moves. Life Orb also gives you guaranteed OHKOs after SD on Registeel, Steelix, and Chansey with your strongest moves.

There is absolutely no need for Dragon Pulse on Milotic, and Choice Specs Milotic is inferior to the Life Orb set. The only Dragon in UU, Altaria, is hit much harder by Ice Beam anyway. Try out the Life Orb tank set in the Milotic update to give you some power as well as some bulk:

name: Life Orb Tank
move 1: Hydro Pump / Surf
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Hidden Power Grass / Hidden Power Electric
move 4: Recover
item: Life Orb
evs: 152 HP / 80 Def / 220 SpA / 56 Spe
nature: Modest

The way this helps with your team is it outspeeds Torterra, who can trounce your team after Rock Polishing on Registeel or Dugtrio, and Ice Beams for the OHKO. It takes on most Blaziken, outspeeding the slow ones and taking hits from the faster ones. This Milotic still maintains the offensive pace of the team.

Good luck with your team!

I agree, with an earlier comment, you are quite weak to Technitop. To rectify this, if you have changed Milotic to Blaziken, I would definitely consider Slowbro over Miltank. It is still a great physical wall and a Registeel and Slowbro combination is a brilliant defensive core. It also gives you a water, fire and grass pokemon on your team which in UU is good combination to have. Slowbro is a great Hitmontop counter, watch out for toxic though!(however, this is mostly on the rapid spin variants who carry intimidate over technician and don't give you too many problems). With a fair investment in Sp.def, it also makes a great mixed Blaziken counter, who seems to give your teams problems, and can still wall azumarill and fighters all day long. I would go with a moveset of Surf/Psychic/Toxic/Slack off; as for the Ev spread, try to include a fair few Sp.def Ev's as well as a few SpAtk Ev's to boost it's power. Put the rest in Hp and defence to add extra walling potential. Apart from that you should just play around with it untill you are happy.

If you desperately want Heal Bell, another option could be a defensive Altaria. This can take fighting, fire and ground attacks aimed at Registeel while in turn, Registeel takes ice, rock and dragon(rare) attacks aimed at Altaria. Altaria is also one of the best Mixed Blaziken counters in UU as many don't carry Hp Ice. For the spread you will probably want to max out Hp and put in a lot of defense Evs if it is to take repeated hits from that side of the spectrum. I would also go with a Bold nature as Registeel is mostly the one who is taking special hits. I would go with a moveset of Heal Bell/Roost/Dragon Pulse/Flamethrower.
