Team X-terminator

Malfunction

nice desu ne
Welcome!

Lately, I have been building a team based on the team I got in the Santa Tournament. The team itself was quite good, but eventually, I found myself running into some trouble. After changing some stuff around, I came with something almost completely different that the original team, but I was rather amazed at its awesome capabilities. I just need the final touch; a touch that will make this team excellent, a touch only you guys can provide! So, without further ado, onto the team!

The team at a glance:

The team in-depth:

(Changes in red)
----------------------------------------

Heatran (M) @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Explosion

After experimenting with it, I found Heatran to be an ultimate lead. Not only does it set up Stealth Rock almost every game, it is actually able to sweep. Shuca berry helps it survive a ground attack and then threaten a KO with FB/EP. As a lost resort, Heatran will go boom, taking down that annoying Blissey that was keeping his teammates healthy with Wish and Aromatherapy. Think your Scarftran will easily OHKO me? Think again.
----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP/16 Atk/252 Def/4 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Spore
- Leech Seed

Breloom is easily one of the most annoying pokemon to take down, and with this EV spread, it is quite bulky. This is usually my no. switch-in on Tyranitar leads. I Spore, Sub, and act accordingly. I went with Focus Punch cause I found it more effective than Mach Punch, especially since this team isn't a stall team. Breloom has saved the day for me more than once, and I should say, I'm amazed at how great this pokemon is.
----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs:
24 HP/252 Atk/176 SDef/56 Spe

Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit

Just like almost every team, Scizor is here to revenge kill, trap, and scout. Many a day have this beast taken down a troublesome pokemon and won me the match. With Latias now being OU, Pursuit is just getting greater and greater. When I'm not sure of what to do, I just U-turn to the appropriate counter. The given EV spread allows me take on weak fire attacks and special attacks in general, and then trap/BP their users.
----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/56 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Ice Beam
- Charge Beam

I had to find a solution to the ever annoying water types that caused lots of trouble to this team. So, I chose cresslia. I need a good bulky pokemon that was able to absorb status and power up while sleeping. Cresselia has won me some good stall wars again Blissey and the like, but its lack of power make it a rather shaky choice for this team, especially when the opponent can easily set-up on her. So, if you can find me a better pokemon in this spot, I'll gladly try it out.
----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Zapdos (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Heat Wave
- HP Grass
- Roost

After experimenting, I found Zapdos a more effective choice than the retired Gengar. It helps me in countering Scizor, a pokemon that can be quite troublesome if it SDs up. It also helps me in taking on general fighting types like Lucario and Infernape better. Discharge can get in some paralysis, while HP Grass helps take down Swampert easily, a pokemon that can be troublesome to the great...Tyranitar..
----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Tyranitar (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail

Pretty much my late game sweeper. When their Scizor is dead, DD up to boost that monstrous attack into insane levels, and then sweep teams. Aqua tail help in taking out things like Donphan and Hippodown quicker. Crunch and Stone Edge give the deadly dual STAB attacks that is needed to take everything down. Only this and nothing more...
----------------------------------------

So, that's basically my team. If you spot out anything, or have anything to add, just do it!
Retired Pokemon:

Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Destiny Bond
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,
Yours Truly.

First off, you're ScarfTran weak. ScarfTran's speed can OHKO T-tar, and it's Lava Plume can KO Breloom (if sub isn't up) and Scizor. To fix this, I suggest you replace T-tar with either Gyarados, Salamence, or Swampert.
On Gengar, how are you expecting that to survive DDMence or DDGyara's attacks? Outrage/Waterfall will easily OHKO you. Replace the scarf with a Focus Sash and try again.

how can heatan ohko tyranitar ?__?
But I'd say you have swords dance scizor weak as i don't think heatran will live long enough

On a team that utilizes DD Tyranitar, you need to have a reliable counter for Scizor. That should be one of your top priorities as otherwise Tyranitar will never get a sweep in. Using Heatran as your sole Scizor check is not the best idea in my opinion, especially as lead Heatran has a tendency to die early on in the game. The rest of your team all has problems with Scizor, and using a scarfed Gengar is just begging for a free Pursuit kill by CB Zor. I would do away with Gengar on this team completely, and replace it instead with a defensive Zapdos. Gengar should never be your first switch into DD Gyara / Mence anyway, as it can't take a hit from either of them, and you have Cresselia who can.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe

- Discharge
- Heat Wave
- HP Grass
- Roost

I feel this Zapdos would fit in onto this team much better in place of your Gengar. Not only will it help you with Scizor a lot more, it will also lessen your considerable Lucario weakness somewhat. Both take massive damage from Heat Wave. Discharge is useful in spreading around some paralysis to allow Tyranitar to possibly get a free DD, or make it faster than paralysed foes without having to set up. HP Grass is helpful for the big hit on Swampert, as although you have Breloom, you have no Grass attack on it, and it is another one of the things that can halt a Tyranitar sweep. Zapdos retains much of the type synergy that Gengar had with Tyranitar, as it resists Tyranitar's Ground, Fighting, and Grass weaknesses, and can hit any water types thinking they can Surf Tyranitar with a stab Discharge.

Scizor will enjoy some added bulk since it is really your only Steel-type that you can count on being around in the mid game. Try a spread of 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Spe - the speed puts you faster than Skarmory, Metagross, and CB Ttar. This will also help it sponge up some attacks from Latias in order to Pursuit it, and is far more useful than running max speed. Since you have both Superpower and U-turn, and even if you outspeed Magnezone it's not like you can switch to your Fighting attack, the need to outspeed the trapper is gone. Alternatively, if you would like a somewhat specailly bulkier Scizor for switching into opposing Latias and Gengar to Pursuit them, try a set with 24 HP / 252 Atk / 176 SpD / 56 Spe.

I would strongly recommend you switch Tyranitar's nature to Jolly. You'll miss the small loss in power very little compared to the ability to outspeed Gengar, Latias, Infernape and Starmie after a DD. Also, change Tyranitar's item to Expert Belt. This helps to offset the power loss somewhat, and with Jolly it is necessary to ensure the OHKO against Celebi with Crunch and the 2HKO against Donphan / Hippowdon with Aqua Tail after a DD. It will also be quite helpful in feigning a CB Tyranitar, as the Leftovers recovery won't give you away, meaning you can surprise the foe in the end game by dancing up.

Good luck with your team.

Bump, pretty much?
