Hi guys; sorry if I'm posting to often, here....
This team was mostly built off of Meganium; 4 of the 6 pokemon are basically catered to her defense...
There are some things I'd like raters to address (please and thank you)
1: I NEED A BETTER LEAD...seriously...my Ninjask Lead was created to counter Azelf leads, and I've seen NO AZELF LEADS as of late, even though they're rated #1...so....ya....
2: Are there any other pokemon that can be replaced to effectively check Meganium's counters?
3: Should Meganium have a different move-set?
Thanks for rating!
Ninjask (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- X-Scissor
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Sunny Day
Ninjask was created in order to counter Azelf Leads. Unfortunately, due to a lack of them, he (alone) reduces this team to an incomplete baton-passing team! If there is another lead that can counter Azelf, please help!
---
Starmie @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
Starmie is made to counter any flying types, fire types, and scare off any waiting poison types (bar things like Gengar). Starmie also has spectacular revenge-kill capabilities, so that's always a plus (at least in my experience).
---
Meganium (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 216 HP/148 Def/144 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Energy Ball
- Aromatherapy
- Reflect
- Leech Seed
---
Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
Blissey is there to spread around status, and heal the team with her Wish-bliss powah! Yeah....she's mostly there for healing, and serves as a wonderful wall.
---
Blastoise (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 64 HP/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass] (I could switch this to Psychic, but I don't know if I should! I'm still completely open to poison attacks against Meganium!)
- Focus Blast
Blastoise is here to fight against any Ice types out to get Meganium. He also serves as a more tank-ish version of Starmie, when up against flying or fire attackers.
---
Magmortar (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Last, we have Magmortar, who is, again, another anti-Ice type. He, alongside the water types on my team, are there to also help take out Earth-quakers, who, are not a threat to Meganium, but could still take out Magmortar and, under certain circumstances, stone-edge Ninjask.

And there's my team! Thanks for rating!
