The SV UU Tera index is a resource intended to provide some information on Pokemon in SV UU's preferred Tera typings. These are not the only Tera types these 'mons can use (unless they're named Ogerpon!) nor are they going to be the only ones you see on ladder, but they are the better ones available for the listed Pokemon. The Viability Rankings were used to determine which Pokemon were included, and ladder stats + skilled player weigh-in listed the Tera types. Tera types are not organized by power or viability for a Pokemon!
Each Pokemon can use Tera types for different reasons.
- Offensive Coverage: Barreskewda gaining a Fighting type to juice up Close Combats
- STAB STAB STAB: Greninja going Stellar type to lock up a sweep
- Defensive: Chesnaught using Water type to improve its defensive profile
- Utility: Ribombee having Ghost type to block Rapid Spin
Please use your own determination when to use each type based on what the intended goal of that Pokemon is in battle, and what your team needs.
