Power Herb (Terapagos) @ Power Herb
Ability: Tera Shift
Level: 50
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tera Starstorm
- Meteor Beam
- Earth Power
- Protect

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Details
========
- Power Herb Terapagos is a hyper offensive threat, firing off Meteor Beam to boost its offense and dealing unresisted damage with Tera Starstorm after Terastallizing. Terapagos has a great matchup against Miraidon and Kyogre, as it is capable of surviving attacks from them thanks to Tera Shell and then removing terrain and weather upon Terastallizing with Teraform Zero.
- Meteor Beam OHKOs Volcarona, Ogerpon-H, and Chi-Yu and deals significant damage to Calyrex-I and Incineroar, allowing Terapagos to finish them off with Tera Starstorm on the following turn. Earth Power lets Terapagos threaten 2HKOs against Miraidon and Zamazenta-C when at +1.
- Power Herb Terapagossets run maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outrun Adamant Urshifu sets.
- Tera Stellar transforms Tera Starstorm into a spread Stellar-type attack and increases the damage of Meteor Beam and Earth Power, guaranteeing an OHKO on non-Assault Vest Incineroar with Meteor Beam and a 2HKO on Assault Vest Miraidon with Earth Power at +1.

Teambuilding
=========
- Fighting-types are generally problematic for Terapagos. Koraidon and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R outspeed Terapagos and threaten it with Collision Course and Close Combat, respectively. Zamazenta-C and Iron Hands threaten Terapagos with Body Press and Drain Punch while surviving its Earth Power.
- Ghost-types such as Calyrex-S, Lunala, and Flutter Mane are difficult for Terapagos to damage. They pressure Terapagos to terastallize in order to sufficiently damage them with Tera Starstorm, while they can easily chip away at Terapagos with their Psychic- and Fairy-type attacks.
- On top of their type advantages, Zamazenta-C and Lunala can disrupt Terapagos further with Wide Guard protecting them and their allies from Tera Starstorm when Terapagos has Terastallized.
- Damage mitigation by Whimsicott and Grimmsnarl's Light Screen as well as Miraidon and Chi-Yu's Snarl severely weakens Terapagos's damage output.
- Amoonguss can be annoying since it can comfortably withstand attacks from Terapagos, redirect its attacks, and put it to sleep with Spore.
- Terapagos is often paired with Choice Scarf Miraidon. Miraidon deals solid damage with Electro Drift and Draco Meteor to bulky foes like Zamazenta-C and Lunala, softening them up for Terapagos to finish off with Tera Starstorm. Miraidon additionally supports Terapagos by threatening Koraidon and Urshifu-R with its STAB moves. Miraidon's Electric Terrain is also handy for preventing Amoonguss from slowing down Terapagos's offensive pressure with Spore. Miraidon's Snarl can threaten Calyrex-S and Lunala while hindering their damage output.
- Incineroar works well with Terapagos, reducing the damage of the Fighting-type threats like the Urshifu formes and Iron Hands with Intimidate as well as threatening Ghost-types like Calyrex-S and Lunala with Knock Off, forcing them to Terastallize; afterwards,Terapagos can threaten them with Tera Starstorm.
- Amoonguss comfortably takes Fighting-type attacks and redirects them away from Terapagos. It also disrupts these foes with Spore and can heal Terapagos with Pollen Puff, allowing it to regain Tera Shell if it hasn't Terastallized.
- Volcarona can also be found on teams with Power Herb Terapagos, where it is often used as a setup sweeper rather than redirection support. Volcarona can resist attacks from Zamazenta-C and can threaten it with Fiery Dance alongside Amoonguss.

- Power Herb Terapagos is played as a hyper offensive threat firing off Meteor Beam to boost its offense and proceeding to deal unresisted damage with Tera Starstorm after terastallizing. (I would mention positive MUs, here, Kyogre could be nice here as well as Incineroar)
- Meteor Beam OHKOs Volcarona, Ogerpon-H, and Chi-Yu and deals significant damage to Calyrex-I and Incineroar allowing Terapagos to finish them off with Tera Starstorm in the following turn. Earth Power lets Terapagos threaten 2HKOs against Miraidon and Zamazenta when at +1.
- Power Herb allows Terapagos to use Meteor Beam in a single turn one time granting it a powerful single use nuke attack.
- Power Herb Terapagos sets run maximum Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outrun Adamant Urshifu sets.
- Tera Stellar transforms Tera Starstorm into a spread Stellar-type attack and increases the damage of Meteor Beam and Earth Power for one instance guaranteeing an OHKO on non-Assault Vest Incineroar with Meteor Beam and a 2HKO on Assault Vest Miraidon with Earth Power.

- Ghost-types such as Calyrex-S, Lunala and Flutter Mane wall Terapagos forcing it to terastalize in order to sufficiently damage them with Tera Starstorm while they can easily chip away at Terapagos with their Psychic- and Fairy-type attacks. (this applies to both zama and lunala, but I would take this further by mentioning wide guard)
- Damage mitigation by Whimsicott and Grimmsnarl's Light Screen as well as Miraidon and Chi-Yu's Snarl severely weaken Terapagos's damage output.
- Amoonguss can be annoying since it can comfortably withstand attacks from Terapagos as well as redirecting attacks and putting it to sleep with Spore.
- Terapagos is often paired with Choice Scarf Miraidon. Miraidon deals solid damage with Electro Drift and Draco Meteor to bulky foes like Zamazenta-C and Lunala, soften them up for Terapagos to finish off with Tera Starstorm. Miraidon additionally supports Terapagos by threatening Koraidon and Urshifu-R with its STABs. Miriadon's Electric Terrain is also handy for preventing Spore from Amoonguss slowing down Terapagos's offensive pressure.
- Incineroar works well with Terapagos reducing the damage of the Fighting-type threats like the Urshifu formes and Iron Hands with Intimidate as well as threatening Ghost-types like Calyrex-S and Lunala with Knock Off, forcing them to Terastallize which Terapagos can threaten with Tera Starstorm.
- Amoonguss comfortably takes Fighting-type attacks and redirects them away from Terapagos as well as disrupting them with Spore and it can heal Terapagos allowing it to regain Tera Shell if it hasn't Terastallized with Pollen Puff.
- Volcarona can also be found on teams with Power Herb Terapagos, as it is often used as a setup sweeper here rather than a redirection support. This allows Volcarona to gain enough stat boosts with Quiver Dance assisting Terapagos to achieve KOes despite damage mitigation via Light Screen and Snarl. (volcarona is also good into some of the aforementioned threats, namely Zama and Amoon, which you can mention here.)

- Ghost-types such as Calyrex-S, Lunala and Flutter Mane wall (You can't really say this since the set runs other moves--granted, it would be less meaningful chip than with base-Tera Starstorm, but still) Terapagos forcing it to terastalize in order to sufficiently damage them with Tera Starstorm while they can easily chip away at Terapagos with their Psychic- and Fairy-type attacks.

Not really sure if I agree with this; Volcarona dislikes the same damage mitigators, to be honest
