- Power Herb Terapagos is played as a hyper offensive threat firing off Meteor Beam to boost its offense and proceeding to deal unresisted damage with Tera Starstorm after terastallizing.
- Meteor Beam OHKOs Volcarona, Ogerpon-H, and Chi-Yu and deals significant damage to Calyrex-I and Incineroar allowing Terapagos to finish them off with Tera Starstorm in the following turn. Earth Power lets Terapagos threaten 2HKOs against Miraidon and Zamazenta at +1.
- Power Herb allows Terapagos to use Meteor Beam in a single turn one time granting it a powerful single use nuke attack.
- Tera Stellar transforms Tera Starstorm into a spread Stellar-type attack and increases the damage of Meteor Beam and Earth Power for one instance guaranteeing an OHKO on non-Assault Vest Incineroar with Meteor Beam and a 2HKO on Assault Vest Miraidon.

- Fighting-types are generally problematic for Terapagos. Koraidon and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R outspeed Terapagos and threatens it with Collision Course and Close Combat respectively. Zamazenta-C and Iron Hands threaten Terapagos with Body Press and Drain Punch while surviving Earth Power.
- Damage mitigation by Whimsicott and Grimmsnarl's Light Screen as well as Miraidon and Chi-Yu's Snarl severely weaken Terapagos's damage output.
