Hey everybody, I'm trying out my first competitive singles team here. I want to know what all of you think about it.
Mamoswine Focus sash
Nature: Jolly Ability:Thick Fat
evs: 252 atk/ 4 def / 252 spe
Moves:
1. Stealth Rock
2. Earthquake
3. Icicle Crash
4. Ice shard
Mamoswine here is mostly a lead. You set up a stealth rock and then can proceed to use him as a physical attacker. I was considering changing the sash to a life orb.
Togekiss Leftovers
Nature: Calm Ability:Serene Grace
evs: 248 hp/ 252 SpD / 8 spe
Moves:
1. Nasty Plot
2. Air Slash
3. Roost
4. Thunder Wave
Togekiss is a special tank that can be used as a special sweeper here. It has nasty plot to boost its air slash. Thunder wave also helps to immobilize some targets.
Starmie Life Orb
Nature: Timid Ability:Analytic
evs: 252 SpA/ 4 SpD / 252 spe
Moves:
1. Surf
2. Thunderbolt
3. Psyshock
4. Rapid Spin
Starmie provides the needed rapid spin. Along with that it is able to be a decent special attacker.
Trevenant @Chesto Berry/Lum Berry
Nature: Impish Ability:Natural Cure
evs: 252 Hp/ 180 def / 76 spe
Moves:
1. Horn Leech
2. Earthquake
3. Will-O-Wisp
4. Rest
Trevenant is used here as a physical tank. It has chesto-rest to fully restore itself along with some heals from horn leech. Will-O-Wisp can burn dangerous physical threats while earthquake also provides some extra type coverage.
Scizor King's Rock
Nature: Adamant Ability:Technician
evs: 252 atk/ 4 SpD / 252 spe
Moves:
1. Swords Dance
2. Bullet Punch
3. X-scissor
4. Roost
Scizor is used as a physical sweeper here. Sword dance will boost its power for its two attacks while roost provides some recovery. I currently am not sure what item to use here since I'm already considering life orb on another pokemon.
Mega Charizard-Y Charizardite-Y
Nature: Modest Ability:Blaze/Drought
evs: 252 SpA/ 4 def / 252 spe
Moves:
1. Solar Beam
2. Fire Blast
3. Roost
4. Focus Blast
Charizard Y is being used as an all out special attacker here. Solar beam gives it good type coverage along with focus blast while roost gives it some recovery. Fire blast is the STAB of my choice here, although flamethrower would probably also work.
Overall I tried to create this team to be balanced. I have a rocks setter, a spinner, a defensive spin-blocker, and then a couple of sweepers. I know that I probably have some holes in strategy (for example, no taunt) but I cannot pinpoint how to fix them. Help would be appreciated for fixing anything I missed.
