TEST SUBJECTS

Espeon @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SpA
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Yawn

Espeon is the Lead of this team. Espeon's Magic Bounce prevents taunts, as well as on some occasions setting up hazards on the other team who are unaware of the ability. Espeon is mainly just used to set up Reflect and Light Screen for 8 turns to aid in her teammates setting up. If the opponent leads with a sweeper, I usually just yawn to force them to switch out. I am not so sure about the usefullness of Psychic, as it hasn't really come into use ever.

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance

Talonflame is a great sweeper who is able to set up Swords Dance often thanks to Espeon. It's attack moves are good, but are easily walled as well by the likes of Dragonite and Garchomp. What it's role on the team is is pretty self-explanatory.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Will-O-Wisp

If Talonflame is being walled, or anyone else on the team, I usually switch into Heatran. I also switch into Heatran if I am expecting a fire type attack on Aegislash/Manectric/Hitmonlee. I try to set up Stealth Rocks as early on as possible in hope of being able to roar the opponent. Thinking about it now, Heatran is a good wall for Dragon types, but not the best counter: I'm thinking about replacing Roar with Protect in order to stall with Will-O-Wisp or Toxic.

Hitmonlee @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Bulk Up
- Endure
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Hitmonlee is a very good sweeper if I am able to get him to set-up. With his ability Unburden, he gains 2x speed at >25% health. This means that I need to time Endure correctly so that he doesnt die. His only bane from here is priority moves. He too can be walled by Dragonite and the like. (Liechi berry by the way boosts the attack stat at low health)

Aegislash @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 SAtk / 100 HP / 156 SDef
Modest Nature
- King's Shield
- Toxic
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash is just kind of here to absorb hits or to counter psychic types. He can also hit very hard with Shadow Ball, and I needed at least one priority move on my team with Shadow Sneak. I rarely ever have the opportunity to use Toxic and King's Shield to whittle away health, though.

310_mega.png

Mega Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass] (?)

Mega Manectric plays a fast sweeper role. I needed someone who was fast and able to have a large range of coverage and he seemed viable over a choice scarfed Electivire, who I tried and worked in some situations. This pokemon is kind of self explanatory as well.
