hi so this is my last rmt from late bw2 metagame and i wanna post it before gen 6 comes.
so the team itself is a HO team with custap skarm core with gengar+scarfrachi to keep hazards up and offensive core of breloom+mamoswine+dragonite.
Skarmory (OBAMA BASED GOD)(M) @ Custap Berry
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
skarm is pretty much the best lead for a HO team right now and it functions similiarly to all the other HO leads in the past like deo forms, suicide leads etc. Basicly set rocks first turn. Taunt if you need to. Spam spikes until you die. Sturdy+custap makes it so you can get rocks and a layer of spikes almost everytime. usually on the ladder when people lead with shit like volc I use brave bird once custap activates because it OHKOs is everytime.
Gengar (IM GOD)(M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Taunt
- Counter
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
i posted this set in the creative moveset thread so im just gonna copy and paste that part.
Taunt is pretty useful so this set can also be used as a lead when you are facing other HO teams with Skarm/Terrakion/Chomp leads since this set can shut them down pretty easily. It also great against Baton Pass teams because the only thing they use to take a Taunt is Espeon/Xatu, who are both wrecked by Shadow Ball.
Destiny bond is amazing because since Gengar is so fast, and immune to most priority moves, you will more than likely get a Destiny Bond up and kill something. Usually you'd want to kill Tentacruel just so you can keep hazards up but considering Gengar's speed; it's uses are limitless and it can get rid of threats that normally you'd have trouble with.
Counter is my favorite move on this set. Most of the time after I taunt someones lead, their first move is to go into Scizor to pursuit/BP but with Counter+Sash, you can KO Scizor instantly, which is huge if you are running HO because priority users are usually what gets in the way of your sweeps. It also beats GyroBall Forry/Ferro once you taunt them. Anything that tries to setup on your spike stack lead, like Dragonite, Mence, Garchomp are easily beat with Counter.
Also if u noticed this team is completely COMPLETELY wrecked by SD Lucario and SD Scizor. keeping gengars sash intact and using counter is pretty much the only way I can beat it tbh.
Dragonite (BGYCFMB) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- ExtremeSpeed
- Fire Punch
- Superpower
dragonite is pretty much a standard on weatherless teams. it fucks with sun, rain and other HO teams because its so fkn hard without any investment. espeed has pretty sick coverage and I can hit things like volc, gyara, rotom-w for solid damage. and if multi scale is intact, it beat almost the entire tier 1v1. moveset is standard ya. I only use espeed and outrage for the most part. but superpower and fire punch are used sometimes i guess.
Breloom (WONTON SOUP) (M) @ Fighting Gem
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Focus Punch
breloom is a boss. i usually send this out right after my skarm dies if something slow is out to get a spore in. use focus punch on the switch and you've basicly beat 1/3 of their team. unless they switch in bulky counter like celebi/lando t. breloom is pretty good synergy with everything on my team. jirachis u-turns get my a lot of free switch ins to bulky shit that breloom can threaten with a spore like forry, ferro, hippo whatever. i used to use LO+SD but gem+punch is way more useful imo. I usually had my sweep cut short by Latios (which this set actually beats). but once brelooms counters are eliminated it's pretty dangerous and can really threaten rain stall specificly.
Jirachi (I OWN SWAG) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 148 HP / 144 Atk / 216 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Healing Wish
- Ice Punch
Jirachi fills in most of the gaps. the evs let me take 2 draco meteors from spec latios, outspeed +1 dnite, and hit just as hard as the 252/252 jolly version. Iron head has awesome spamability and is one of the many win situations for this team. u-turn is awesome for changing the momentum and scouting. healing wish though. is the only reason why i am using this over something like scizor. with healing wish, I can bring back a weakened mon later in the game which is huge during the last few turns. I usually healing wish Dragonite since it has the best neutral coverage and hits the hardest. but there are situatons where any of my teamates can be extremely useful. Like if Gengar still has his sash, skarm is still alive, whatever. this thing is insanely useful and flip the flow of the battle in my favour without any resistance.
Mamoswine (SMALL PANTS BITCH) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Superpower
mamoswine is the last guy. it has amazing offensive synergy with dragonite+breloom because it can eliminate dragon types that neither of them like to face. jolly nature to outspeed heatran mainly. fire types are a pain in the ass to switch into for this team and mamo beats most of them because he is fast. sometimes i really miss being adamant because it damages skarm harder and it can actually beat rotom-w switch ins with icicle crash then superpower for the ko. but jolly is still defiantly the better option.
so just a few threats and annoyences:
SD Lucario- fuck this thing lol. it has a hard time setting up, but when it does its almost gg. i need to countersash with gengar to beat it.
Ninetails- lol ya... the only thing on sun that gives me trouble. exclusively the will-o-wisp variants because they limit skarm to one layer of hazards, burn, dnite, mamo, jirachi. if they dont have a spinner i can sac gengar with desiny bond. or i can espeed and hope w-o-w misses or something.
SD Scizor.- if its bulky im fucked. if not i can play around it. go into jirachi to flinch and force it to superpower. if multiscale is intact, I can fire punch it. espeed does like 25%
starmie: kinda annoying. jirachi u-turns do 60-70% and dragonite espeeds do 70%. it is insanely hard to switch into
and thats all i can think of right now.
p.s when you play this team it is more beneficial to be aggressive as possible and spam priority moves rather than switcing, because nothing on this team likes taking hits really.
so the team itself is a HO team with custap skarm core with gengar+scarfrachi to keep hazards up and offensive core of breloom+mamoswine+dragonite.
