[OVERVIEW]

Oricorio-P is a potent setup sweeper which, thanks to Quiver Dance, can quickly snowball out of control versus unprepared opponents. Its access to Taunt makes it particularly troublesome for walls like Vaporeon and Swampert that rely on Roar to stop its setup, or Bellibolt and Gligar which rely on Toxic to whittle it down. Additionally, it can also run Revelation Dance alongside a wide array of Tera Types to give it unpredictable coverage. It is usually found alongside Thwackey and other Grassy Seed wielders like Grafaiai, Munkidori, and Dudunsparce on Grassy Terrain teams, but it can also be used on other hyper offense teams centered around overwhelming Steel-types with teammates like Cinccino, Toxtricity, and Diancie. Unfortunately for Oricorio-P, it can run into many common pokemon which it has no chance of breaking past on its own, such as Copperajah, Diancie, and Rhyperior, and using Oricorio-P can feel like you're simply fishing for a favorable matchup. Also, the one-and-done nature of items like Grassy Seed and Kee Berry mean that Oricorio-P only gets one chance to sweep in a given game, as switching out loses it the much-needed boost to its Defense. While Taunt and Revelation Dance sets can each be quite threatening, Oricorio-P cannot reasonably fit both moves in its set, which will always leave some hole in its gameplan.

Quiver Dance makes Oricorio-P a threatening setup sweeper by boosting its power, speed, and bulk all at once. Air Slash is Oricorio-P's most consistent Flying-type STAB and can be run as the sole attack thanks to its lack of immunities. Taunt shuts down a wide array of counterplay options for opposing walls, including phasing moves like Vaporeon's Roar or Copperajah's Whirlwind. It is also beneficial in stopping opposing Pokemon boosting their stats alongside Oricorio-P, enabling it to easily beat the likes of Calm Mind Sylveon and Calm Mind + Iron Defense Bronzong. Although Revelation Dance does not offer much to Oricorio-P by default, its ability to change type when Terastallized can be used to surprise an opponent with unexpected coverage. For example, with Tera Water or Ground, Revelation Dance can flip the type matchup against would-be counters such as Diancie, Rhyperior, and Toxtricity and hit them for super-effective damage. Oricorio-P typically uses a Defense-boosting item such as Grassy Seed or Kee Berry in order to increase its physical bulk, which can help it snowball out of control alongside special defense boosts from Quiver Dance. An EV spread of 252 HP / 208 Def / 48 Spe with a Timid nature is used to maximize Oricorio-P's physical bulk while outspeeding Choice Scarf Munkidori at +2.

Oricorio-P typically finds itself on Grassy Terrain-focused teams to take advantage of Grassy Seed's benefits, on which Thwackey is a mandatory partner. Oricorio-P appreciates teammates that draw in and weaken its Rock- and Steel- type checks, such as Munkidori, Toxtricity, Grafaiai, Diancie, and Cinccino. Entering the field with Stealth Rock up can make it difficult for Oricorio-P to survive hits while setting up; for this reason Cinccino is a standout partner that can clear Stealth Rock with its Tidy Up.

On Revelation Dance sets, Oricorio-P can use Tera Grass to hit many of the same targets as Tera Water while simultaneously receiving a damage buff from Grassy Terrain, but Grass's increased number of weaknesses can be detrimental. Tera Fairy can be used to gain an immunity to Dragon-type attacks, namely Dragon Tail which can remove Oricorio-P's one-time defense boost by phazing it out. An offensive EV spread of 4HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Timid Nature can be used for increased speed and damage, but this decreased bulk can make finding opportunities to use Quiver Dance multiple times scarce.

Checks and Counters
====

**Rock-Types**: Rock-type Pokemon like Diancie and Rhyperior are able to shrug off damage from Air Slash and threaten Oricorio-P with powerful STAB Diamond Storm and Stone Edge, respectively. Furthermore, they commonly carry coverage moves that hit Tera Steel Oricorio-P like Body Press and Earthquake.

**Steel-Types**: Steel-Types like Copperajah, Bronzong, and Klefki stop Oricorio-P in its tracks thanks to their resistance to Air Slash. Copperajah and Bronzong can effectively trade hits with their Heavy Slam or Gyro Ball, while Klefki's Prankster-boosted Thunder Wave allows its teammates to outrun Oricorio-P with ease.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Since Oricorio-P usually carries more initial physical bulk thanks to Grassy Seed or Kee Berry, strong Special attackers like Toxtricity, Chandelure, and Munkidori can break through its defenses before it has the chance to use multiple Quiver Dances. Munkidori in particular can also outspeed +1 Oricorio-P and Trick it a Choice Scarf, preventing further setup and nullifying its sweeping potential.

**Incineroar**: Incineroar threatens Oricorio-P with super-effective damage from Knock Off, while also covering for Tera Steel with its Flare Blitz. With the threat of Swords Dance, Incineroar forces Oricorio-P into guessing games on whether it should use Taunt to stop setup or Roost to heal off damage.

Oricorio-P is a potent setup sweeper which, thanks to Quiver Dance, can quickly snowball out of control versus unprepared opponents. (this can be said about any setup sweeper, so focus it more so on how Psycorio can capitalize on specific walls) Its access to Taunt makes it particularly troublesome for walls like Vaporeon and Swampert that rely on Roar to stop its setup, or Bellibolt and Gligar which rely on Toxic to whittle it down. Additionally, it can also run Revelation Dance alongside a wide array of Tera Types to give it unpredictable coverage. (reword this is reads more like RevDance allows Psycorio to hit would-be walls like Rhyperior, Bellibolt, and Copperajah with Tera Ground. also only Tera you use with RevDance is Tera Ground; Tera Water and Steel have less targets and share all targets with Tera Ground) It is usually found alongside Thwackey and other Grassy Seed wielders like Grafaiai, Munkidori, and Dudunsparce on Grassy Terrain teams, but it can also be used on other hyper offense teams centered around overwhelming Steel-types with teammates like Cinccino, Toxtricity, and Diancie. (that kinda sentence reads like a teammates line. so instead of focusing on partners, make this talk on how Psycorio helps these teamstyles by dealing with more defensive walls) Unfortunately for Oricorio-P, it can run into many common pokemon which Pokemon that it has no chance of breaking past on its own without running Revelation Dance and using up its team's Terastallization, such as Copperajah, Diancie, and Rhyperior, and making using Oricorio-P can feel inconsistent like you're simply fishing for a favorable matchup (a bit too casual). Also, the one-and-done nature of items like Grassy Seed and Kee Berry mean that Oricorio-P often only gets one chance to sweep in a given game, as switching out loses it the much-needed boost to its Defense. While Taunt and Revelation Dance sets can each be quite threatening, Oricorio-P cannot reasonably fit both moves in its set, which will always leave some hole in its gameplan.

(i went through the vr and Tera Water RevDance is just worse than Tera Ground because a) Ground hits all the same targets and b) Water hits less targets important targets. only difference is like hitting rhyp 4x SE vs 2x, which isnt that big of a deal with all the other upsides to Ground)

Quiver Dance makes Oricorio-P a threatening setup sweeper by boosting its power, speed, and bulk all at once. (no need to explain) Air Slash is Oricorio-P's most consistent Flying-type STAB and can be run as the sole attack thanks to its lack of immunities, (AC) as Hurricane can be stopped by Wind Rider Brambleghast. Although Revelation Dance does not offer much to Oricorio-P by default, its ability to change type when Oricorio-P is Terastallized can be used to surprise an opponent with unexpected coverage. For example, with Tera Water or Ground (RC) Revelation Dance can flip the type matchup against would-be counters such as Diancie, Rhyperior, and Toxtricity and hit them for super-effective damage. (tera Steel mention here. speak on Tera Fairy for maintaining fight resist and now you resist Dark + cant be touched by a dtail from duraludon or flygon. and then talk about the defensive benefits of tera Ground like how it gives Psycorio an Electric immmunity: surprise Kilo & Raikou + twave immunity from klefki) Oricorio-P typically uses a Defense-boosting item such as Grassy Seed or Kee Berry in order to increase its physical bulk, which can help it snowball out of control alongside special defense boosts from Quiver Dance. (explain boots) An EV spread of 252 HP / 208 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 Spe with a Timid nature is used to maximize Oricorio-P's physical bulk while outspeeding Choice Scarf Munkidori at +2.

Oricorio-P typically finds itself on Grassy Terrain-focused teams to take advantage of Grassy Seed's benefits, on which Thwackey is a mandatory partner. Oricorio-P appreciates teammates, (AC) such as Munkidori, Toxtricity, Grafaiai, Diancie, and Torterra, (AC) that draw in and weaken its Rock- and Steel- type checks, (AC) like Rhyperior, Diancie, and Bronzong such as Munkidori, Toxtricity, Grafaiai, Diancie, and Cinccino. (add how those teammates enjoy hazards up with help from mons like klefki, flygon, or bronzong to more effectively chip these foes) (and talk about partners like arcanine, firebull, and flygon making things easier for Psycorio too by easily taking out these same pesky foes) Entering the field with Stealth Rock up can make it difficult for Oricorio-P to survive hits while setting up; for this reason Cinccino is a standout partner that can clear Stealth Rock with its Tidy Up. (highlight how taunt Psycorio beats bulkier teams more easily, meaning it works better with sweepers that struggle into these archetypes like Hitmonlee, Grafaiai, and Diancie. and in the same way, describe how RevDance Psycorio enjoys wallbreaking partners such as basc-m, chandy, and flygon to pave the way for it to have an easier time sweeping)

(if you want, you can touch on EQ or Iron Head incin to lure in and chunk diancie and rhyp but it isn't necessary)

On Revelation Dance sets, Oricorio-P can use Tera Grass to hit many of the same targets as Tera Water while simultaneously receiving a damage buff from Grassy Terrain, but Grass's increased number of weaknesses can be detrimental. (definitely not worth it if I could just use Tera Water) Tera Fairy can be used to gain an immunity to Dragon-type attacks, namely Dragon Tail which can remove Oricorio-P's one-time defense boost by phazing it out. (moved to set) (here, you can talk on tera water if you want. i do still think it can have utility defensively but its just always outclassed by tera steel offensively) An offensive EV spread of 4HP 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Timid Nature can be used for increased speed and damage, but this decreased bulk can make finding opportunities to use Quiver Dance multiple times scarce.

(and they either force Psycorio out and pressure it into using Tera Ground to hit them with a super effective RevDance)

(however, Psycorio can carry tera ground to hit copper and beat keys)

With the threat of Swords Dance, Incineroar can either pressure Oricorio-P into Terastallizing so that it hits Incineroar with a Tera Ground Revelation Dance or force it forces Oricorio-P into guessing games on whether it should use Taunt to stop setup or Roost to heal off damage.
