THE 4 ARMED GHOST WITH A VENGENCE: COFAGRIGUS IN OU

Hello all, ssraditz94 here bringing you another RMT. this is my 3rd i believe, the other 2 being my Meloetta team, and my outdated sand team which is no longer usable thanks to the banning of sand veil. any way this is an OU team i made using the half-and-half concept that i enjoy using. The half-and-half concept is simple: take 3 Pokemon from UU and 3 pokes from OU, and put them on a team which can be balanced in a sense and try and see some positive results. Well, enough explaining lets get into the teambuilding process ^_^
Team Building Process:

1st, i need a fast Taunter from UU and i couldn't think of a better one then Azelf, screw you Ambipom!

Next up lets get something strong that can help with annoying dragons and Ferrothorn, oh hey Garchomp you do that pretty well.

I needed an excuse to finally test the viability of Cofagrigus in OU since iv'e been wanting to test it here for quite some time now.

Well since i'm using a solid physical wall, i guess it would be appropriate to try and throw in a more solid special wall who can support the team and im curious of how a FerroFagro core might work out.

Rotom-w has always been an offensive stable for the majority of my teams and i need something that carries an electric attack in this metagame where rain dominates.

So anywhom, I guess I should get started with explanations and such
THE TEAM

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Levitate
EV's 252 Speed/ 252 SAtk/ 4 Atk
~Taunt
~U-Turn
~Psychic
~Stealth Rock
My usual lead. Azelf sports amazing base 115 speed making him an excellent anti-lead. He can Taunt any lead that it goes up against or go straight for the Stealth Rock if the obvious hard switch, volt switch, or u-turn is incoming. U-turn is so i can get out of dodge when i need to and it hits incoming Alakazams, Espeons, Latias/os, and Reuniclus's. Psychic is the obligatory stab as not many things in OU want to take a STAB Psychic apart from those previous mentioned things and Azelf has proven from gen 4 as well as gen 5 that leads do in fact still exist.
Garchomp @ Salac Berry
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Rough Skin
EV's 252 Speed/ 252 Atk/ 4 Def
~Substitute
~Earthquake
~Swords Dance
~Dragon Claw
Upon Looking at Joeyboy's & Ciel's suggestion, as well as further wifi testing, I decided to go with a Sub Salac SD set. that way i get the best of both worlds with this set. Although i have had hang up's in the past with using sub SD Chomp because of the high usage of Mamoswine, but with the changes made below, i have a better way to deal with Mamoswines now, so once i get that out of the way I should be in good shape to get a mini/complete sweep going on with this monstrous power house.
previous set
Garchomp @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Rough Skin
EV's 252 Speed/ 252 Atk/ 4 Def
~Substitute
~Earthquake
~Fire Fang
~Dragon Claw
Now i know what some of you are thinking, why are you running sub without Swords Dance? that's a very good question that i will try and answer. I have tried in the past to utilize Sub+SD sets and they all ended with the same result: Ice shard Mamoswine. I do have other things on my team that can stop Mamo but it's annoying as hell to deal with especially when i waste 25% of my hp just to get forced to switch. I made the decision to go for Fire Fang so that i can 2hko Forretresses and Ferrothorns. all in all its a good answer to those 2, which are very high on the usage statistic for there support, and oddly enough, there 4x weakness to fire.

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Mummy
EV's 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SDef
~Calm Mind
~Shadow Ball
~Hidden Power [Fighting]
~Pain Split
Next we have the MVP of my team: Calm mind Cofagrigus had a short run of terror in UU along with chancey as one the most dangerous defensive cores in history. Cofagrigus is the metophorical brick wall to all of OU's most dangerous threats such as Scizor, Terrakion, and Breloom. Once he gets a calm mind up he becomes such a perfect mix wall. At +1 special defense, even Draco Meteor from Modest Specs Latios won't be able to OHKO, and if you can live a modest specs Draco from Latios, chances are you are going to live a whole bunch other hits as well. It really is an insane wall that is severely overlooked. Even ttar doesn't want to switch in and take a boosted HP Fighting. Honestly though, since physical hits are not an issue,I decided to swap W.O.W with Pain Split for a better form of recovery and its always beautiful to hit those Blisseys when they choose to switch in. Let me know what you think down below.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Levitate
EV's 248 HP/ 28 SAtk/COLOR]/ 232 SDef
~Thunder Wave
~Volt Switch
~Hydro Pump
~Pain Split
I thank Ciel for this suggestion. Choice specs Rotom was just not cutting it and a poke with 1 or fewer weaknesses such as Rotom-W should be used in a more defensive role. I have had fun on wifi and showdown shutting down fast threats like scarf Salamence, Terrakion, and Tornadus-I. Im also pleased with the amount of hits this thing can take and although its not as bulky as Ferrothorn, It doesn't sport a 4x weakness to
fire. Thank you for the suggestions My queen ^_^
Previous Set
Rotom-Wash @ Choice Specs
Nature: Modest
Ability: Levitate
EV's 252 SAtk/ 252 HP/ 4 SDef
~Trick
~Volt Switch
~Hydro Pump
~Hidden Power [Ice]
Next up is Rotom-W. It's just a standard TrickSpecs Rotom that i use as my main special attacker. I use it mainly to gain momentum with Volt Switch so that i can get momentum going as well as hit Politoed. I rarely find an opportunity to use Trick but i guess when the time comes I will be able to use it. Sorry for the lame description, but its a Rotom i really don't have much to say about it.

Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Nature:Modest
Ability:Magnet Pull
EV's: 148 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 108 Speed
~Volt Switch
~Flash Cannon
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power [Fire]
Here is my replacement for Ferrothorn. After enough Pokemon Showdown testing, I decided to change out Ferrothorn for a Specs Magnezone. This my teams main answer to Scizor, Skarmory, Forretress, and Ferrothorn. With prior hazards damage, Specs Volt Switch can OHKO Skarmory, and Hidden Power Fire destroys the other 3 pokes listed above thanks to their lower speed and 4x weakness to fire. I feel that this is the best way to shut down hazard setters, since my team has absolutely no need for a rapid spinner since my team is more offensive orriented and doesnt mind Stealth Rocks at all.
Previous Set

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Iron Barbs
EV's 252 HP/ 88 Def/ 168 SDef
~Protect
~Thunder Wave
~Power Whip
~Leech Seed
Does this set look familiar? If you play Ubers then this is the set that's on basically on all of the Uber Ferrothorn Sets. Leech seed forces set up sweepers like Dragonite to switch because the combination of Iron Barbs, Rocky Helmet, and leech seed takes damn near half of your opponents hp in 1 turn which is very impressive. I'm running thunder wave to slow down many faster top tier threats like the Latis, Infernape, Mence, etc. I could run Spikes but honestly im more happy with TWave because it is a big help in the late game when all my opponent has is crippled pokes.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Nature:Jolly
Ability:Justified
EVs: 252 Speed / 252 Atk / 4 HP
~Close Combat
~Stone Edge
~X-Scissor
~Rock Slide
Although This violates the Half & Half rule that I set for myself with this team, Darmanitan was just too limited because of SR and that wasn't working out because i would usually have to bring it in to get momentum going with U-Turn, rather than Smashing teeth in with Flare Blitz. Terrakion, as Joey stated, only takes 6% from Stealth Rocks and is a an overall better abuser of the Choice Scarf and one the better answers to top tier pokes, like Salamence, Banded Terrakion, QD Ulgamoth, DD Dnite, and more. all in all i am very pleased with this Change.
Previous Set

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Sheer Force
EV's 252 Atk/ 252 Speed/ 4 Hp
~Flare Blitz
~Rock Slide
~Earthquake
~U-Turn
Finally we have one bad ass mo fo. Choice Scarf Darmanitan since the release of BW1 has been one of my favorite choice scarf abusers with its insane attack and ability. Flare blitz destroys everything that doesn't resist it. Once again I really can't be bothered with explaining something that you all should already know how it works. Sorry for the laziness but its 2AM where I live atm.
CONCLUSION

Thank you for taking the time to read my RMT. I worked semi-hard on this team and i plan on making any revisions that you all suggest. My only request is that you don't ask me to replace Cofagrigus since the team was created to test him in OU. If you have any suggestions about the Cofagrigus regarding the set, i'll listen to those. Thank you all for your time and i'll see you in the next one.
