ORAS OU The 6 legends (Hyper Offense)

Hello and thanks for taking your time reading this RMT.

I started with the concept of this team. i wanted a hyper offense team for the low ladder on OU. here is my building proces and reasening behind each mon.

pokemon_shuffle__azelf_by_thespickypikachu-d91ela6.png

Azelf

The Leader (Azelf) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Psyshock
- Explosion

I started this team with Azelf. Azelf is a great lead for almost any hyper offense team. it has fire blast to counter ferrothorn and scizor leads (almost against any pokemon 4x weak to fire) stealth rock is just stealth rock psyshock is for stab damage and explosion for massive damage. explosion is also great for moments where you want a free switch. the Evs are kind of standard i am hasty because i want to get to most power with explosion and timid would've hinderd the damage.

Originally there was a kyurem black in my team as the second mon it was the standard scarf set i changed it to latios i will explain later

latest

Azumarril

The Ace (Azumarill) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough

azumarril was my third mon that i chose and here is the reason. Azumarril is a great wallbreaker it 2hkos clefable and does massive damage to other mons. this set is nothing special but i have been debating between superpower and knock off I could not deside what item i wanted to give him and gave his item when i was done with my team i decided to go choice band instead of assault fest because of the extra power

latest

Manectric

The Flash (Manectric-Mega) (M) @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat

Mega-manectric was my 4th pick and i chose it because he is a fast electric type (speed ties with lopunny) and has amazing moves. overheat hit hits hard and kills mega metagross. HP Ice is for dragons and ground types. Thunderbolt and Voltswitch is a basic thing.

461.png

Weavile

The Speedster (Weavile) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit
- Icicle Crash
my 5th mon is weavile he is my favorite mon and is great. his speed is amazing.has prority in ice shard and has one of the best knock offs in the game. the moves that almost every weavile uses are knock off ice shard and icicle crash the last slot is filler. i choose for pursuit as my last move because it traps all the pokemon weak to dark type most noteably are gengar latios/latias mega alakazam and starmie. overall this weavile is a great addition to the team

latest

Talonflame

The Legend (Talonflame) (M) @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

Talonflame is without a doubt the best 'Generation Bird pokemon' he has stab to all flying attacks and has a lot of great moves. for this talonflame i choose it to be a swords dance set with brave bird and flare blitz as attacking moves and roost for recovery. this talon flame can break trough stall with just 1 swords dance i swept an entire team with 1 simple prediction that gave me a free swords dance. since you will be taking a loot of recoil roost is essential to sweep an entire team. sharp beak as item to make brave birds base power 144 so that you will have an easier time sweeping.

So my original team was done and the members where: Azelf Azumarill Kuyrem-B Mega-Manetric Weavile and Talonflame. and looked at my team and tought: i need a defogger. so i replaced Kuyrem-B with one of the best defoggers

latest

Latios

The Myth (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Earthquake

so i needed a defogger and latios was my defogger of choice. i have earthquake on here because i did not had any ground types and i needed a way of killing heatran besides with azumarill so that is my reason of earthquake

the reason i want this team to get rated is because i came to a conclusion that these mons can destroy my team late game and i wanted help to patch the weaknesses to these pokemons here is the list that i came to a conclusion:
latest
even in the early game can this pokemon screw with my team you need to play around it very well
latest
mega metagross can sweep this team if manetric has under 60% hp and if talonflame is gone thats why mega metagross can destroy my team late game.
latest
Only d-dance mega altaria gives me trouble late game early in the game you need to sack or your weavile or your talonflame in order to kill M-altaria with the combination of ice shard-Brave Bird or vice versa
530.png
Scarfed mold breaker excadrill can spam earthquake for days azumarill can handle him but if he is dead it is pretty much gg

So this was my RMT i hope that you can help me with my team. so far i only lost 2 times of the 15 matches i played with this team

Hey mastershawn110, this build is solid but I think a few of your team and set choices could use some improvement to be a tad bit more effective.

Running Lead Azelf + Defog Latios on a team with Talonflame and Weavile is honestly really redundant. You're obviously going to want to get rid of hazards for them, but you'll never going to be able to get hazards back up again once Azelf goes for Explosion. Your Azelf also doesn't have Taunt to prevent hazards from going up, so you virtually end up having a pointless team slot. Since you've said M-Lopunny, M-Metagross, and Mold Breaker Excadrill are issues for your team, I think you should run Defensive Landorus-T > Lead Azelf. This provides you with a sturdy Stealth Rock setter, plus with Toxic it can help wear down common switch-ins to it like Rocky Helmet Garchomp, opposing Landorus-T, Slowbro, Rotom-W, Hippowdon, etc. to support your Talonflame. Also, on a bit of an unrelated note, Taunt is a better option on Lead Azelf than Psyshock since it helps it prevent setup and opposing hazards from going up. I also personally like Fire Blast a lot on Lead Azelf, but Skill Swap is generally the better move choice on it since it allows you to set up hazards against M-Sableye and M-Diancie.

The next thing I think you should change is your Azumarill spread. You state that you like Choice Band Azu since it can 2HKO Clefable, but with no Speed EVs you're slower than Clefable, Choice Band Scizor, and speed tie with Chansey. You should run at least 84 Speed EVs on your Azumarill since this is the common benchmark that standard Choice Band Azumarill hit, and it allows it to outspeed Clefable and Sylveon that don't run speed investment. The spread I'll be providing you with will allow you to outspeed regular Scizor that have no speed EVs.

Your team's sole win condition is Talonflame, but you don't have anything to really help break its checks. Landorus-T and Rocky Helmet Garchomp have no other function against your team but to check your Talonflame, and seeing as though they're extremely common you realistically won't be able to use Talonflame to break through teams that have either or both of these Pokemon. While you do have Weavile and Azumarill to pressure Rotom-W, you don't put Rotom-W in range of Talonflame since it can heal off their damage pretty easily. So, to help pressure Rotom-W and Rocky Helmet Garchomp, as well as act as a lure for defensive Heatran to support Talonflame, you should run Swords Dance + 3 Attacks M-Scizor > M-Manectric. With 224 Speed EVs you outspeed all Magnezone that don't run Choice Scarf, and can potentially take them out with Superpower. +2 Bug Bite also takes out Rotom-W with Stealth Rock up. M-Scizor also can help with M-Altaria which you said you've had some issues with. You should also run Swords Dance > Pursuit on Weavile since this helps pressure Rotom-W, Skarmory, and Keldeo to support M-Scizor. Plus with M-Scizor providing a secondary check to the Latis, you don't really need Pursuit.

With M-Scizor being able to act as a lure for Heatran and being capable of setting up on Tyranitar, you don't really need Earthquake on Latios anymore. So, to provide your Latios with more longevity to be able to check Keldeo and Volcanion consistently, as well as help it with checking fast electrics in place of M-Manectric, you should run Roost > Earthquake on Latios. You should also run Thunderbolt > Psyshock so you can check Manaphy and Calm Mind Slowbro more reliably in place of M-Manectric, and beat Skarmory for M-Scizor.

Lastly, I think you should consider itemless Talonflame with Acrobatics > Sharp Break Talonflame with Brave Bird since Rocky Helmet Landorus-T and Rocky Helmet Garchomp are very common, and both easily wear you down with extra recoil damage. With the meta leaning towards bulkier builds it's very easy to make a Talonflame kill itself through recoil, especially when you're running no HP investment. The difference in damage output isn't drastic, and Acrobatics can help guarantee sweeps, makes Talonflame harder to revenge kill, and helps you check Knock Off M-Scizor better in place of M-Manectric. Plus since some Landorus-T are starting to run Knock Off instead of Stone Edge it can help get off an additional Swords Dance without being forced into a 50/50 situation as to whether you should Roost or not predicting an incoming Earthquake. This is change subjective, but I strongly recommend you try it out.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 12 Spe

The Ace (Azumarill) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe

The Myth (Latios) @ Life Orb

Timid Nature

Hope i was able to help!
