This is the final team for every single one of the final evos for Applin. It was a fun challenge to come up with these teams, and if anyone wants to give me a suggestion in the comments, I would be happy to take on the challenge. With the last one being Hydrapple, I wanted to try my best and create a bulky/offensive team to help. As per usual, my usual team comprises 2 physical attackers, 2 special attackers, and 2 support mons. These are the links to my other two teams. I know they suck, but I've been learning as I go along, and there are a lot of annoying teams that I keep getting matched with that lower my score a lot.

Snake Charmer (Hydrapple) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 140 SpA / 116 SpD
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Giga Drain
- Nasty Plot
- Tera Blast
As the main star of my team, I have Hydrapple on a more offensive set. Its main purpose is to drain the opponent's health while healing itself with regenerator and leftovers. I know I could add Earth Power, but I think Draco Meteor and Tera Steel Tera Blast will get the job done plenty fine. The Steel Tera typing also gives me a way to resist all of its usual weaknesses, plus it gives me a good check into Walking Wake, who is a big problem for my team.
Godzilla (Tyranitar) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 112 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Low Kick
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
My main physical attacker is Tyranitar, as its bulk, combined with the Choice Band, gives it plenty of room to dish out big damage. I did try a DD set, but it didn't see much play, so I went with this set. The biggest threat to this is Low Kick, which is why I went with Tera Bug as it allows Tyranitar to resist ground and grass too. Sandstorm benefits the team as over half of my team, including Tera Hydrapple and Clefable, are not affected by the Sandstorm chip.
Big Boi (Great Tusk) @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 172 HP / 172 Atk / 120 Def / 4 SpD / 40 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
Great Tusk is meant to be both a physical mon and a support mon. With SR, Rapid Spin, and KO, it can disrupt any mon that sets up hazards while setting up its own. It's also offensive cause with the stats and CC, it can deal some big damage, and even with Tera Dark, it can sneak up on its psychic weakness.
String Cheese (Gholdengo) @ Life Orb
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Thunderbolt
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
Gholdengo is my other special attacker. I prefer to use the nasty plot setup instead of a choice item cause usually I have to switch out a lot, and it's more of a hindrance than anything else. I have 0 IVs in Attack for no Foul Play, but Knock Off is still a problem, which is what the defensive Tera type of Fairy is for. I also added Thunderbolt just in case another Gholdengo teras into a Water type. Edit: it also blocks Glisor's Toxic boosted Facades.
Clefable @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Moonblast
- Moonlight
Clefable is my other support mon and my main one at that. It's usually meant to set up SR and maybe TW, the opponents. With Moonlight and Rocky Helmet, it can cycle and rack up a lot of damage. Moonblast is also pretty helpful, as I'm pretty sure it's a 3-4HKO on Gliscor at most, maybe a little more. It also has Unaware so that it can ignore the opponent's stat changes, which is usually beneficial as they like to boost their stats.
Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- Horn Leech
- Low Kick
- Swords Dance
This is a pretty standard set for Ogerpon, but it is my other physical attacker. With Tera Water and SD, it can OHKO most things. The main reason it's on the team is type coverage and diversity, while also being another check to our biggest problems, Gliscor and Walking Wake.
That's the whole team. I tried a trick room team, then a bulky offensive team, and then came to this team. Please let me know if I should make any changes and if you have any other ideas for another team, I should make then let me know, and I'll try it out.
