WHY WOULD YOU MAKE THIS TEAM?
First of all, this is my first RMT, so if I make any mistakes tell me X3
Anyway. I decided to build a team around a truly powerful sweeper: Lucario. This Pokemon, along with his STABs, can destroy entire teams.

BUILDING PROCESS
448.gif

Obviously, any Pokemon has counters (bar CBHaxorus). Gliscor, Quagsire, Conkeldurr, Gengar (if it doesn't come on a Crunch) were a huge problem. This is where my other members came out.

Tyranitar was the first one. Though it doubled my Fight weakness, Scarftar was a good answer to beat Gengar. Tyranitar summons a Sandstorm too, which is nice.

I had absolutely to do something for Conkeldurr. Latios was the obvious choice. With him i gained a nice Ground Immunity too.

Here i felt that Volcarona +1 was a huge threat. So Heatran was an obvious choice.

Again, too many common weaknesses. Ground and Fight were covered only by Latios. Sp. Defensive Quagsire was a problem too, since 3 of my Pokemons couldn't beat him. But now Celebi prevents it.

What has access to DDance, Quake, a Fire move and DClaw and destroys my team at +1? Exactly, Salamence (and Nite too, but anyway). I needed something that simply doesn't give a fuck about boosting sweeper. Say hello to Quagsire, then. It comes with the ability to counter DDance Tyranitar and a lot of other things too.

I needed Spikes to help my Lucario Sweep work. So I put Skarmory on Heatran and I changed my Tyranitar set in order to check Volcarona anyway.

A CLOSER LOOK

Tyranitar (M) @ Chople Berry
Bag_Chople_Berry_Sprite.png

Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Rock Slide

I was using ScarfTar at first, but since Heatran said good-bye at my team, I needed a new Volcarona check. With so much bulk, powered up by SS, I can resist a +1 Bug Buzz and OHKO back with Rock Slide. W/ Chople Berry I can defeat Gengar too.

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Bag_Life_Orb_Sprite.png

Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Crunch
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed

The star of the team- isn't it lovely?- with the ability to destroy teams, when things called Gliscor and similar are down or weakened enough. I chose the physical sweeper mainly because of Extremespeed. Guys, this thing is amazing. +2 priority, coming from a +2 110 LO Atk is enough to clean my road for the victory. Close Combat, despite the fact it lowers my defenses, is better than HJK, having only 10 less BP, being 100% accurate and not having a so suicide drawback. Crunch KOes Ghost Types, since they are immune to Extremespeed and CC.

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Recover

Quagsire had a nice gift from this new generation. Being a Bulky Water with the ability to prevent setup, being able to recovery, having only a weakness and being able to burn enemies via Scald is enough. Here I use Physical Defensive Quag since while he blocks physical sweepers and the burn from Scald definitively take them down.

skarmory.png

Skarmory (M) @ Shed Shell
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 240 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Ta-dah, the best physical wall ever. I needed Spikes in order to help some Luke KOs. With him I can KO Conkeldurr and Choice Terrakion. Also I can phaze some boosting Pokemon like SS Cloyster.

latios_1_.gif

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Bag_Life_Orb_Sprite.png

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Recover

Here it is, the most dangerous dragon ever. I was using a Scarftos set, but having too many scarved Pokemon was bad. So I put a Life Orb + 3 attacks set. DMeteor for insane damage almost everywhere. Surf for general coverage and Psyshock for Bliss. I'm not going to use HP Fire since I would lose to other Latios because of the 30 Speed IVs.

celebi.jpg

Celebi @ Leftovers
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Recover
- Heal Bell
- Stealth Rock
- Grass Knot

Well, that's Celebi. Here with a support set. Stealth Rock is always a good move. Heal Bell because my Tyranitar hates burn and my Latios hates being paralyzed. Recover to keep it alive while Grass Knot is a good way to deal with bulky waters like Jellicent or switch-ins of Terrakion or Tyranitar. With the given EVs I always outspeed Tyranitar (without Choice Scarf) and I 2HKO it with Grass Knot.

Well, thank you for reading and RATE, RATE, RATE. -^^-

there is no point in having three scarfers on one team, change your latios set to the life orb version with recover and change the tyranitar to a chople verry variant so that you can defeat gengar w/ focusblast and still defeat latios/as due to the massive special defense boost

I'm not sure about tyra change. W/chople i cannot have taken any prior damage since fblast will hurt me a lot. With a Scarf equipped I can outspeed and kill it.

dude 3 scarfers is really dangerous, especially since none of them can trick away their scarfs.
Why not just use ttar as a revenge killer for volcarona, with its huge special bulk and stab rock slide or stone edge, it would free up your heatran to run a bulky set with 252 sp def and stealth rocks, also, latios is absurbly fast, scarf really only helps it beat starmie and other scarfers so use the choice specs for insane power

I think that this team is on the right track, although it could use a few changes to become very efficient. You could use a more reliable Volcarona check. Although Heatran packs, rock slide to make it easy for you to beat it, this really won't be helping your team outside of that purpose. For a quick change, I would change Tyranitar to a specially defensive variant with stealth rock / rock slide / pursuit / superpower, chople berry, careful nature, and maximum special defense and hp so that you can check Volcarona much easier. This means that you will be able to run a much more effective nasty plot set on Celebi which will prevent Ferrothorn from spiking on you as well as still be able to check on Rotom-W easily.

Spikes support would really benefit this team. This would be very effective especially since you are running jolly Lucario, which can really benefit from spikes support by gaining a few extra KOs in the long run. Skarmory would work very well on this team. It gives you an excellent way to sponge powerful dragon type attacks from the likes of Haxorus as well as an excellent source of spikes. Heatran is easily the odd man out on this team. Although it gives you a decent switch into Volcarona, it really will not be the easiest way for you to win against it, especially with rock slide. Skarmory still can win against threats such as Conkeldurr and some versions of Terrakion, which is also very helpful.

If you do not feel comfortable losing your scarfer, I would simply change Quagsire to choice scarf Rotom-W. Although Quagsire is a great check to boosting sweepers, Rotom-W can give you a great 'mon to win against a myriad of threats so that you can still keep a good amount of speed on this team. The rest of your team checks boosting sweepers decently anyways, so I think that Rotom-W would do a very nice job on this team. Also, Rotom-W can give you some good momentum against your opponent which helps you wear down the other team so that Lucario can sweep much easier later in the match. gl.

I changed Tyranitar set and put Skarm>Tran, but why SR on Tyra? I've Celebi to put down rocks, it has no sense having two. :|
Anyway I did all the changes bar Rotom-W, I want to test a bit first.

Quick Nitpick. Inner Focus > Steadfast on Lucario as it's defenses are paper thin and a Fake Out user can Fake Out, then switch out to flinch you once again no matter what your speed is. You're also not faster than Choice Scarf Jirachi (if that's used anymore) after an Iron Head flich anyway.

lol I simply forgot to change it xD

I love seeing Lucario used on teams, such a cool pokemon :D

One thing, I would recommend Adamant>Jolly On Lucario, unless you are trying to outspeed other Lucarios or something specific. (Just personal preference, I prefer the power XD)

Fighting types can wreck your team even though you have Chople berry Ttar. Latios has terrible defense, Quagsire can't take a +1-2 Drain punch or a +4 Close Combat because that OHKOES Quagsire
Having a bulkier EV in Celebi can work out. Also watch out for Conkeldurr because Flame Orb sets are more common now.

Conke is perfectly walled by Quag, because of Unaware. Latios can take a Drain+Mach Punch and OHKO back with Draco Meteor, then heal with Recover.

well outspeeding base 100 w/ neutral nature is crucial since Jirachi runs Adamant and I can kill it with a +2 CC before getting paralyzed.
