XY OU The battles are strong with this one...

And so It began...

Hey guys, NotMo here, with my first RMT and my first thread. I'll be giving some detail on why I picked the Pokemon and it's usage on my team. Enough explaining, time to get to the Pokemon. I'm so good at OU.

1. Klefki

Swirlyder (Klefki) (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Torment
My lead. Klefki is just one of those Pokemon every OU team has...or should have, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, it gets completely shut down by Taunt. Let me ask you, have you seen any Taunt leads lately? I sure haven't. It's use is pretty much the same here as anywhere else. it sets up screens while annoying the opponent with Thunder Wave + Torment if it tries to attack.

2. Skarmory

Transmuter (Skarmory) (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock

Skarmory, the Right-Hand Man, or Bird, I should say, to Klefki. It follows from the Screens already set up to place the usual hazards, and also do the complete opposite. It uses Taunt to make sure my strategies with Klefki don't get handed right back to me. And Defog, usually a last resort, as it takes away my hazards, to get rid of those that are affecting me.

3. Sylveon
images
Deceived (Sylveon) (M) @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Protect

My Fairy type sweeper, 'nuff said. This is my main special sweeper, as just 1 Calm Mind allows it to sweep unsuspecting Pokemon. If this gets into any undesirable situations, just Wish your problems away. However, if Sylveon faints out the turn it uses Wish, you can always pass it on to a low-HP Pokemon.

4. Venusaur
images
Feliburn (Venusaur) (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Energy Ball
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis
- Sludge Bomb

My main Pokemon, Venusaur. Activate its mega and you get one bulky sweeper. With Thick Fat, Mega-Venusaur can tank most Super Effective hits, only being crippled by 3 types, which is good for a Grass type. The standard STAB moves, along with Leech Seed to add recovery to Synthesis.

5. Arcanine
images
Vacate (Arcanine) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Crunch
- Flare Blitz
- Iron Tail

Every good team needs both types of sweepers, and Arcanine does the job. With maximum HP and an Assault Vest, it is guaranteed to live any Earthquake/Earth Power it faces. With Flare Blitz, it can almost 1-Hit KO any neutrally-affected Pokemon it faces. Iron Tail is for those Rock types. Extreme Speed is to finish off a Pokemon, or to deal some last-resort damage before it faints. Crunch is to deal with those occasional Psychic or Ghost types.

6. Heatran
images
xlstevo (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon
- Dark Pulse

And finally, we come to the last Pokemon in this RMT. Heatran is my back-up special sweeper, in-case Sylveon faints. With Flamethrower for STAB, Flash Cannon also for STAB, Dark Pulse for those pesky Espeon's and other Psychic or Ghost types, and Earth Power for Rock types.

And that wraps up this RMT. Any suggestions or Constructive criticism you may have are greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading this.

Okay, there are just a few things I'd suggest changing:

If you're looking for a Fire-Type physical sweeper, I'd suggest replacing Arcanine with Talonflame. Talonflame gets strong Flying-Type priority including priority Roost.

If you'd like to keep the Arcanine, then you should make it a Speedy Sweeper. Arcanine will survive a lot better if it is equipped with a Life Orb and Max Speed EVs. That way, it will likely be able to avoid those Earthquakes and Earth Powers.

Your Sylveon gets walled by Poisons and Steels, especially Mega-Venusaur. I'm not sure exactly what you could do aside from replacing Calm Mind with a coverage attack, preferably Shadow Ball. If Sylveon is going to Wish/Protect, it won't need to boost. It will just survive, and the coverage should help significantly.

Other Notes:
  • Your team is weak to Fire/Fighting combos such as Infernape and is also weak to Talonflame.
  • Your only real way around Rotom-W is Mega-Veno. However, it could easily Volt Switch into a Mega-Veno counter, which would open your entire team to a Rotom-W takedown.
That's all! :D Have fun!
