NU The big Lugg (Avalugg) [QC: 2/2] [GP: 1/1]

[OVERVIEW]

Avalugg's exceptional physical bulk and access to Rapid Spin and Recover make it one of the best physical walls in the tier for balanced and defensive teams. Avalugg can comfortably take some of the most powerful physical attacks in the tier, such as Basculegion's Wave Crash and Staraptor's Brave Bird, as well as super effective attacks from Fighting-types such as Infernape and Paldean Tauros-W. Avalugg can also dish out serious damage by weaponizing its Defense stat with Body Press and hitting hard with moves like Avalanche and Earthquake, thanks to its high Attack stat. However, Avalugg is extremely frail on the special side, which allows special wallbreakers such as Munkidori and Porygon-Z to easily force it out. Avalugg's Ice typing makes it weak to common physical wallbreakers in the tier like Incineroar, Paldean Tauros-F, and Flamigo and heavily reliant on Terastallization to wall many physical threats. Avalugg is also very susceptible to Knock Off, since it relies on Heavy-Duty Boots to circumvent its Stealth Rock weakness.

Body Press utilizes Avalugg's Defense stat to threaten 2HKOs or 3HKOs on most offensive threats, while hitting bulky Steel-types for super effective damage. Body Press also threatens attackers such as Tera Steel Flygon and Incineroar. Since Avalugg is slower than nearly the entire metagame, Avalanche is a great STAB option. However, Ice Spinner can sometimes be preferable for more consistent damage and can remove Terrain, which helps Avalugg and its team against Grassy Terrain offense teams. Earthquake deals super effective damage to Fire-, Poison-, and Electric-type wallbreakers that try to take advantage of Avalugg, such as Chandelure, Munkidori, and Toxtricity. Sturdy allows Avalugg to always survive a single attack in a pinch and retaliate. When paired with Alolan Ninetales, though, Ice Body can be used to capitalize on its snow to gain passive recovery. Tera Poison gives Avalugg a great defensive typing, providing it with a resistance to Fighting and making it immune to poison and Toxic, which would otherwise cripple it, from Alolan Muk and Amoonguss. Alternatively, Tera Water grants Avalugg important resistances to Fire, Steel, and Water, letting it better withstand attacks from threats like Incineroar, Copperajah, and Basculegion.

Avalugg's abysmal Special Defense means that it benefits greatly from blanket special walls such as Porygon2, Registeel, and Milotic, which can switch into the many special attackers that force Avalugg out like Toxtricity, Diancie, and Chandelure. Fire- and Fighting-type wallbreakers like Paldean Tauros-F, Flamigo, and Breloom can overwhelm Avalugg, meaning Pokemon that can switch into their attacks, such as Chandelure, Gligar, and Amoonguss, are good partners. Avalugg struggles to threaten Ghost-types like Chandelure and Hisuian Typhlosion with its attacks, especially if it lacks Earthquake, making Dark-types such as Incineroar and Alolan Muk good partners for it. These two can also burn and poison wallbreakers, making it much easier for Avalugg to outlast them. Bulky Water-types, such as Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Milotic, can pose a huge problem for Avalugg, as they have powerful special attacks and are difficult to switch out of due to the risk of Scald burning an incoming Pokemon. Water-immune Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Toxicroak can help immensely, while status-immune wallbreakers, such as Poison Heal Breloom, Toxtricity, and Guts Hariyama, can force them out or set up on them. Alolan Ninetales outspeeds many Fighting-type wallbreakers that threaten Avalugg, such as Flamigo, Paldean Tauros-F and -W, and Breloom, and can KO them with Moonblast. It also sets snow for Avalugg, boosting its Defense considerably and giving it passive recovery from Ice Body. In return, Avalugg can draw in and dent Steel-type walls, such as Registeel and Copperajah, which are difficult for Alolan Ninetales to get past, by using Body Press and Earthquake.

Other Options

Running IronPress allows Avalugg to become a very threatening sweeper. However, this forces Avalugg to drop a coverage option or Rapid Spin, the former making Avalugg unable to hit Ghost-types, while the latter significantly reduces its utility. Tera Fighting removes Avalugg's weaknesses and makes Avalugg more offensively threatening. Tera Fighting also lets Avalugg resist Stealth Rock, allowing it to switch in more frequently if its Heavy-Duty Boots is removed.

Checks and Counters
====

**Special Attackers**: Special attackers, such as Chandelure, Inteleon, and Munkidori, pose a major threat to Avalugg, since it cannot handle their attacks very well. However, Sturdy can help mitigate this issue by allowing Avalugg to deal damage to special wallbreakers for its partners when necessary.

**Fire- and Fighting-type Wallbreakers**: Powerful physical attackers such as Incineroar, Paldean Tauros-F, Heracross, and Flamigo threaten Avalugg with their strong STAB moves, forcing it out. Avalugg's sheer bulk allows it to take one hit from even super effective attackers, these Pokemon often run Choice Band or Swords Dance sets, preventing Avalugg from safely switching in and beating them.

**Item Displacement**: Avalugg's Ice typing means it requires Heavy-Duty Boots to consistently switch in. Avalugg must use Recover more often if Knock Off users like Incineroar and Alolan Muk or Trick users remove its Heavy-Duty Boots, making it harder for Avalugg to consistently remove entry hazards and wall important foes.

Avalugg's exceptional physical bulk and access to entry hazard control makes it one of the best physical walls in the tier. Its massive base 184 Defense stat technically we dont state the stat numbers because the reader can find them above the analysis allows it to comfortably take some of the most powerful physical attacks in the tier, such as Basculegion's Wave Crash and Staraptor's Brave Bird, as well as super effective attacks from Fighting types such as Infernape and Paldean Tauros-W. Avalugg can also dish out serious damage, weaponizing its Defense stat with Body Press and hitting hard with coverage they’re not coverage moves if one is STAB moves like Avalanche and Earthquake due to its high base 117 Attack stat. This, combined with reliable recovery and Rapid Spin hazard removal somewhat vague if hazard removal is from itself or a partner, makes Avalugg a premier physical wall for balanced and defensive teams. However, Avalugg is extremely frail on the special side, allowing special wallbreakers such as Chandelure Munkidori and Porygon-Z to easily force it out, while its typing of mono Ice does not do it any favors either, making it weak to common wallbreakers in the tier like Chandelure, Diancie, Incineroar, and Paldean Tauros-W and heavily reliant on Terastalization to wall many physical threats. It is also very susceptible to Knock Off, since it relies on Heavy-Duty Boots to circumvent its Stealth Rock weakness. its Rock weakness makes it take heavy chip damage from Stealth Rocks when Heavy-Duty Boots are removed. cleaner way to say it

Body Press is Avalugg's standard attack, utilizing its Defense stat to threaten 2- or 3-Hit KOs on most offensive threats, while hitting bulky Steel-types for super effective damage. Since Avalugg is slower than nearly the entire metagame generally tanking a lot of hits, Avalanche is a great STAB option, doubling its base power to 120 if Avalugg is hit. However, Icicle Crash Ice Spinner can sometimes be preferable for more consistent damage, as Avalanche does not get a power boost if the foe switches out or uses a status move. kind of unnecessary after you said why avalanche is better Earthquake is a great coverage option, threatening super effective damage on Fire- and Electric-type wallbreakers that try to take advantage of Avalugg such as Chandelure, (ac) Hisuian Typhlosion, (ac) and Toxtricity, as well as Poison-types like Alolan Muk and Munkidori, who could otherwise come in for free. Generally Body Press should always be used on Avalugg, but Earthquake and an Ice move can be run together in some scenarios if the coverage they provide is important. having bpress first makes the general idea of this clear, so this is just fluff Without Body Press, Avalugg can be very vulnerable to certain Pokemon such as Bronzong and Tera Steel Flygon. hear me out, you’re losing vs zong no matter what but the tera steel flygon is smth. either just delete this or add the tera steel flygon mention somewhere in the body press section like “bpress lets lugg hit tera steel flygon” Sturdy is an excellent ability for Avalugg, as it allows Avalugg it to always live a Special an attack in a pinch and retaliate. despite its abysmal Special Defense. When paired with Alolan Ninetales, though, Ice Body can be used to capitalize on its snow-setting abilities to gain passive recovery. technically the sturdy line was fluff because all of it is self-explanatory for competent players, but adding this ice body line poses it as more of a comparing the two This can come in handy as a last-ditch effort to revenge kill special sweepers. fluff on sturdy Tera Poison gifts Avalugg is a great defensive typing overall, providing Avalugg with a resistance to Fighting-types, as well as making it immune to poison and Toxic from Alolan Muk and Amoonguss that could otherwise cripple it. Alternatively, Tera Fighting can be used to remove Avalugg's weaknesses, as well as boost the power of Body Press, making Avalugg more offensively threatening. Tera Fighting also lets Avalugg resist Stealth Rocks, allowing it to switch in more frequently if its Boots are removed. delete this and move it to the end of the other options paragraph ||| talk abt tera fairy & water here instead

Avalugg's abysmal Special Defense stat means that it benefits greatly from blanket special walls such as Porygon2, Registeel, and Milotic, who can switch into the many special attackers that force Avalugg out like Toxtricity, Diancie, and Chandelure. Avalugg can also be overwhelmed by Fire- and Fighting-type wallbreakers such as Paldean Tauros-F, Flamigo, and Breloom, and Paldean Tauros-F, meaning Pokemon that can switch into their attacks, such as Chandelure, Gligar, and Amoonguss, and Tentacruel, are good partners for Avalugg. Due to its limited attacking moveslots, Avalugg struggles to threaten Ghost-types with its attacks, especially if it lacks Earthquake, making Dark-types such as Incineroar and Alolan-Muk good partners for it. These two especially can also burn and poison opposing wallbreakers, making it much easier to for Avalugg to withstand their attacks. Bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic can pose a huge problem for Avalugg, as they threaten it with powerful special attacks and are difficult to switch out of due to the threat of Scald burns on burning an incoming Pokemon. Water Absorb Water-immune Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Toxicroak can help immensely, while Electric- and Grass-type wallbreakers like Breloom and Toxtricity can force them out and set up on them. Finally, Avalugg appreciates secondary hazard removal such as Defog Scyther and Altaria, due to its weakness to Stealth Rocks and Knock Off, as well as vulnerability to common spinblocking Ghost-types such as Chandelure and special Basculegion. These secondary hazard removal options also have great defensive synergy with Avalugg, being able to consistently switch into Fighting-type attacks for it. the whole point of avalugg is hazard removal and if you’re going for scyth / alt as well those provide more / and the latter is more reliable. they make lugg a waste of a slot (ig u do recover + 3 atks but the pokemon slot can be better used than that imo)

instead, a part on how alolatales + lugg is a good core: atales outspeeds most fight types that threaten lugg and can hit em with moonblast + threatens waters with freeze dry + doubles lugg defense with snow. in return, lugg checks phys threats and can deal decent damage to steels with its coverage (bpress / eq)

Ice Body can be run as an alternative to Sturdy on dedicated Snow teams, providing Avalugg with passive recovery in exchange for greater vulnerability to special wallbreakers. Crunch can be used as an alternative coverage option on Avalugg, allowing it to hit Ghost types for super effective damage, as well as Bronzong, which Avalugg generally struggles to deal with. However, this comes at the cost of having a worse matchup into several important threats, such as Alolan Muk, Flamigo, Toxicroak, and Breloom. talked abt ice body earlier, move a mention there instead. crunch aint worth it. Iron Defense can be run in combination with Body Press, allowing Avalugg to boost its Defense and become a very threatening sweeper. However, this forces Avalugg to drop a coverage option or Rapid Spin, the former making Avalugg unable to hit Ghost-types while the latter significantly reduces Avalugg's utility. Mirror Coat can be run as a niche option, allowing Avalugg to live special hits with Sturdy and reflect the damage back at the attacker, which can remove key special attackers for Avalugg's teammates. tera fight can move here

**Special Attackers**: Special attackers, such as Chandelure, Inteleon, and Munkidori, pose a major threat to Avalugg, since it cannot handle their attacks very well. However, Sturdy can help mitigate this, letting Avalugg deal damage to special wallbreakers for its partners, if needed. moved. added the underlined part to make it accurate, since sturdy exists + removed some fluff

**Fighting- and Fire-type Wallbreakers**: Powerful physical attackers such as Breloom, Heracross, Paldean Tauros-F, and Incineroar Flamigo threaten Avalugg with their strong Fighting- and Fire-type STAB moves Close Combats, forcing it out meaning that Avalugg needs support to deal with them. While Avalugg's sheer bulk allows it to take on even super effective attackers, these Pokemon often run Banded or Swords Dance sets, preventing Avalugg from safely switching in and beating them.

**Special Attackers**: Special attackers, such as Chandelure, Inteleon, and Munkidori, pose a major threat to Avalugg, since it cannot take even a single hit from most special attackers in the tier. However, Sturdy can help mitigate this by allowing it to always take a single hit if at full HP, meaning Avalugg can take out special wallbreakers for its partners, if Avalugg's physical walling abilities are not needed.

**Item Displacement**: Avalugg, being an Ice-type, is weak to Stealth Rocks, meaning it requires Heavy-Duty Boots to consistently switch in. If the Boots are removed through Knock Off from Incineroar or Alolan Muk or Trick, Avalugg can take heavy damage from hazards each time it comes in, forcing it to use Recover more often and making it harder to consistently remove hazards and wall important foes.

Thanks PowerOfMemes, I'm very new to this so not used to the formatting and removing fluff and stuff lol. A couple of things, firstly when you say "allowing special wallbreakers such as Chandelure Munkidori," I disagree as Munkidori is almost exclusively used as a Scarfer and not as any sort of wallbreaker. Secondly, "**Fighting- and Fire-type Wallbreakers**: Powerful physical attackers such as Breloom, Heracross, Paldean Tauros-F, and Incineroar Flamigo," Incineroar is not very threatening to Avalugg and generally does not want to switch into a Body Press, making it not as much of a threat to Avalugg. Meanwhile Flamigo is gaining a lot of popularity as a wallbreaker and is very threatening to balance teams that use Avalugg.

Generally Body Press should always be used on Avalugg, but Earthquake and an Ice move can be run together in some scenarios if the coverage they provide is important. I don't think just having Body Press first makes this clear, especially when Body Press is slashed with Earthquake.

Finally, I did not add Tera Fairy to the list, as I do not think it provides anything useful that Tera Poison doesn't. The only thing it helps with is Flygon, which Avalugg doesn't need Tera to beat unless it's running Fire Blast, in which case Water is better anyway.

Implemented everything else though

A couple of things, firstly when you say "allowing special wallbreakers such as Chandelure Munkidori," I disagree as Munkidori is almost exclusively used as a Scarfer and not as any sort of wallbreaker.

in this sentence, wallbreakers is just as easily traded out for attackers, and munki with powerful stabs, poisons, and uturns is basically that, imo. if it makes you feel more comfortable just put “attackers” instead of “wallbreakers”

Meanwhile Flamigo is gaining a lot of popularity as a wallbreaker and is very threatening to balance teams that use Avalugg.

if you read the section, you said fighting and fire. i just removed migo because you ONLY provided fighting, and i balanced the two other fighting with fire examples. incin is still problematic for lugg honestly, but you could say infernape (a worse example imo, however works ig). also if you want to keep migo, just replace another fighting type with it.

Generally Body Press should always be used on Avalugg, but Earthquake and an Ice move can be run together in some scenarios if the coverage they provide is important. I don't think just having Body Press first makes this clear, especially when Body Press is slashed with Earthquake.

having body press first shows that it is highly recommended / better to run that over anything else. also, i dont think pointing this out is a big deal because ice / ground coverage is just as good as ice / fight or fight / ground — thats up to team composition + preference, no need to put extra emphasis on that. (im not for body press supremacy personally, though it is good)

Finally, I did not add Tera Fairy to the list, as I do not think it provides anything useful that Tera Poison doesn't. The only thing it helps with is Flygon, which Avalugg doesn't need Tera to beat unless it's running Fire Blast, in which case Water is better anyway.

honestly i checked the on-site analysis, n it said ghost. i put that first, then realized migo is a thing n just put fairy without thinking, so yes you are right on this.

Implemented everything else though

n i’ll properly qc this in a bit

Fair enough, added Incin over Breloom since breaker Breloom isn't that common and often runs Mach Punch as it's only fighting move

Alternatively, Tera Water can be used to give Avalugg important Fire and Steel resistances, letting it better withstand attacks from threats like Incineror, Copperajah, and Basculegion.

Avalugg's abysmal Special Defense stat means that it benefits greatly from blanket special walls such as Porygon2, Registeel, and Milotic, who can switch into the many special attackers that force Avalugg out like Toxtricity, Diancie, and Chandelure. Avalugg can also be overwhelmed by Fire- and Fighting-type wallbreakers such as Paldean Tauros-F, Flamigo, and Breloom, meaning Pokemon that can switch into their attacks, such as Chandelure, Gligar, and Amoonguss, are good partners for Avalugg. Due to its limited attacking moveslots, Avalugg struggles to threaten Ghost-types with its attacks, especially if it lacks Earthquake, making Dark-types such as Incineroar and Alolan-Muk good partners for it. These two can also burn and poison opposing wallbreakers, making it much easier for Avalugg to withstand their attacks. Bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon and Milotic can pose a huge problem for Avalugg, as they threaten it with powerful special attacks and are difficult to switch out of due to the threat of Scald burning an incoming Pokemon. Water-immune Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Toxicroak can help immensely, while Electric- and Grass-type wallbreakers like Breloom and Toxtricity can force them out and set up on them. Finally, Alolan Ninetales is a great partner for Avalugg. Alolan Ninetales outspeeds many Fighting-type wallbreakers that threaten Avalugg like? and can kill KO not allowed them with Moonblast. It also sets snow for Avalugg, boosting its Defense considerably and giving it passive recovery from Ice Body. In return, Avalugg can threaten draw in and dent Steel-type walls with Body Press and Earthquake, that are otherwise difficult for Alolan Ninetales to get past.

Tera Fighting can be used as an alternate Tera type, removing Avalugg's weaknesses well as boosting the power of Body Press, making Avalugg more offensively threatening. Tera Fighting also lets Avalugg resist Stealth Rocks, allowing it to switch in more frequently if its Boots are removed.

Checks and Counters

**Special Attackers**: Special attackers, such as Chandelure, Inteleon, and Munkidori, pose a major threat to Avalugg, since it cannot handle their attacks very well. However, Sturdy can help mitigate this, letting Avalugg deal damage to special wallbreakers for its partners, if needed.

**Fighting- and Fire-type Wallbreakers**: Powerful physical attackers such as Incineroar, Heracross, Paldean Tauros-F, and Flamigo threaten Avalugg with their strong Fire- and Fighting-type STAB moves, forcing it out. While Avalugg's sheer bulk allows it to take on even super effective attackers, these Pokemon often run Banded or Swords Dance sets, preventing Avalugg from safely switching in and beating them.

**Item Displacement**: Avalugg, being an Ice-type, is weak to Stealth Rocks, meaning Avalugg's Ice typing means it requires Heavy-Duty Boots to consistently switch in. If the Heavy-Duty Boots are removed through Knock Off from Incineroar or Alolan Muk or Trick, Avalugg can take heavy damage from hazards each time it comes in, forcing is forced to use Recover more often and , (add comma) making it harder to consistently remove hazards and wall important foes.

Bit confused about the Ice Body thing, because you had me add a mention in the main set details section "When paired with Alolan Ninetales, though, Ice Body can be used to capitalize on its snow-setting abilities to gain passive recovery." and remove it from Other Options, so I figured it should be slashed in the set. If it's not included in the provided set then it shouldn't be discussed in the set details either, and should just be in Other Options right?

there is technically a third option: i feel mentioning it in set details shows its better than oo (other options) but not great enough for main set, thats just a me thing. if another qcer comes and either adds it to the set itself or moves it back to oo, that’s just as fine. hope this clarifies it

Alright cool, implemented everything then except for adding Hisuian Typhlosion at some point since I already mentioned Chandelure there and most people feel that Hisuian Typhlosion is generally worse than Chandelure in basically every regard

I chose "while status-resistant wallbreakers such as Poison Heal Breloom, Toxtricity, and Guts Hariyama can force them out or set up on them." for the Poison Heal Breloom thing

Also, I did not mention Tera Ghost as I do not think it is ever very useful. While it does provide a Fighting immunity, the Dark and Ghost weaknesses are quite bad, especially since the other 2 physical Poison types are also Dark type. Also, Toxicroak has been falling off quite a bit recently, and Tera Ghost makes Avalugg weak to it's Knock Off/Sucker Punch anyway which kinda sucks.

Other than that, implemented everything.

Body Press is also important, also threatens to threaten attackers like Tera Steel Flygon and Incineroar. Since Avalugg is slower than nearly the entire metagame, Avalanche is a great STAB option. (AP), doubling its power if Avalugg is hit. However, Ice Spinner can sometimes be preferable for more consistent damage and can remove terrain Terrain, helping which helps Avalugg and its team when against Grassy Terrain offense teams. Earthquake is a great coverage option, threatening deals super effective damage on to Fire-, Poison-, and Electric-type wallbreakers that try to take advantage of Avalugg, such as Chandelure, Munkidori, and Toxtricity. Sturdy allows Avalugg to always live survive a single attack in a pinch and retaliate. When paired with Alolan Ninetales, though, Ice Body can be used to capitalize on its snow-setting abilities to gain passive recovery. Tera Poison gifts gives Avalugg a great defensive typing overall, providing Avalugg it with a resistance to Fighting-types, as well as Fighting and making it immune to poison and Toxic, which would otherwise cripple it, from Alolan Muk and Amoonguss that could otherwise cripple it. Alternatively, Tera Water can be used grants Avalugg important resistances to give Avalugg important Fire, Steel, and Water resistances, letting it better withstand attacks from threats like Incineroar, Copperajah, and Basculegion.

Avalugg's abysmal Special Defense stat means that it benefits greatly from blanket special walls like Porygon2, Registeel, and Milotic, who which can switch into the many special attackers that force Avalugg out like Toxtricity, Diancie, and Chandelure. Avalugg can also be overwhelmed by Fire- and Fighting-type wallbreakers such as like Paldean Tauros-F, Flamigo, and Breloom can overwhelm Avalugg, meaning Pokemon that can switch into their attacks, such as Chandelure, Gligar, and Amoonguss, are good partners. (AP) for Avalugg. Due to its limited attacking moveslots, (improves clarity) Avalugg struggles to threaten Ghost-types like Chandelure and Hisuian Typhlosion with its attacks, especially if it lacks Earthquake, making Dark-types such as Incineroar and Alolan-Muk Alolan Muk good partners for it. These two can also burn and poison opposing wallbreakers, making it much easier for Avalugg to outlast them. Bulky Water-types, (AC) such as Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Milotic, (AC) can pose a huge problem for Avalugg, as they threaten it with have powerful special attacks and are difficult to switch out of due to the threat risk of Scald burning an incoming Pokemon. Water-immune Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Toxicroak can help immensely, while status-immune resistant wallbreakers, such as Poison Heal Breloom, Toxtricity, and Guts Hariyama, (AC) can force them out or set up on them. Finally, Alolan Ninetales is a great partner for Avalugg. Alolan Ninetales outspeeds many Fighting-type wallbreakers that threaten Avalugg, such as Flamigo, the Paldean Tauros formes (does this apply to all Paldean Tauros formes? if not, you may want to specify -F and -W), and Breloom, and can KO them with Moonblast. It also sets snow for Avalugg, boosting its Defense considerably and giving it passive recovery from Ice Body. In return, Avalugg can draw in and dent Steel-type walls, such as like Registeel and Copperajah, that which are otherwise difficult for Alolan Ninetales to get past, with by using (improves clarity) Body Press and Earthquake.

Iron Defense can be run in combination with Body Press, allowing Running IronPress allows Avalugg to become to boost its Defense and become a very threatening sweeper. However, this forces Avalugg to drop a coverage option or Rapid Spin, the former making Avalugg unable to hit Ghost-types, (AC) while the latter significantly reduces Avalugg's its utility. Tera Fighting can be used as an alternate Tera type, removing removes Avalugg's weaknesses and makes well as boosting the power of Body Press, making Avalugg more offensively threatening. Tera Fighting also lets Avalugg resist Stealth Rocks Rock, allowing it to switch in more frequently if its Heavy-Duty Boots is are removed.

**Special Attackers**: Special attackers, such as Chandelure, Inteleon, and Munkidori, pose a major threat to Avalugg, since it cannot handle their attacks very well. However, Sturdy can help mitigate this, letting issue by allowing Avalugg to deal damage to special wallbreakers for its partners, if needed when necessary (clarifies the condition this would be good in).

**Fighting- and Fire- and Fighting-type Wallbreakers**: Powerful physical attackers such as Incineroar, Paldean Tauros-F, Heracross, and Flamigo threaten Avalugg with their strong Fire- and Fighting-type STAB moves, forcing it out. While Avalugg's sheer bulk allows it to take one hit from even super effective attackers, but these Pokemon often run Banded Choice Band or Swords Dance sets, preventing Avalugg from safely switching in and beating them.

**Item Displacement**: Avalugg's Ice typing means it requires Heavy-Duty Boots to consistently switch in. If the Heavy-Duty Boots are removed through Avalugg must use Recover more often if Knock Off from users like Incineroar or and Alolan Muk or Trick, Avalugg is forced to use Recover more often users remove its Heavy-Duty Boots, making it harder for Avalugg to consistently remove entry hazards and wall important foes.

[OVERVIEW]
Avalugg's exceptional physical bulk and access to Rapid Spin and Recover make it one of the best physical walls in the tier for balanced and defensive teams. (RP) thanks to its exceptional physical bulk and access Its massive Defense stat allows it to Rapid Spin and Recover. (The last sentence already emphasized Avalugg's great physical bulk, so I've streamlined this sentence) Avalugg can comfortably take some of the most powerful physical attacks in the tier, such as Basculegion's Wave Crash and Staraptor's Brave Bird, as well as super effective attacks from Fighting types Fighting-types such as Infernape and Paldean Tauros-W. Avalugg can also dish out serious damage, (RC) by weaponizing its Defense stat with Body Press and hitting hard with moves like Avalanche and Earthquake, thanks due to its high Attack stat. However, Avalugg is extremely frail on the special side, allowing which allows special wallbreakers such as Munkidori and Porygon-Z to easily force it out. Its Avalugg's Ice typing does not do makes it any favors either, making it weak to common physical wallbreakers in the tier like Incineroar, Paldean Tauros-F, and Flamigo and heavily reliant on Terastalization Terastallization to wall many physical threats. It Avalugg is also very susceptible to Knock Off, since it relies on Heavy-Duty Boots to circumvent its Stealth Rock weakness.

A bit confused about the first sentence changes, since it seems like you're repeating "exceptional physical bulk and access to Rapid Spin and Recover" twice. Did you mean to remove the first mention right at the beginning? Thanks!
