The Blue Marble - A short story

Okay, so I was assigned to write a short story for my english class. I ended up really liking it, and decided to post it here.

A local magazine is running a competition where young writers enter short stories, and I was thinking of submitting this. Winner my be featured in TIME magazine. Since I am thinking of going into Journalism/Creative Writing, this would be a great starting point for me.

Either way, read it, and tell me what you think!

I had to delete the story. My teacher will be running a plagarism check online, and I don't want it to check back here and let her think I copied the whole thing...

If a mod could DELETE (not lock) this topic, that would be great.
