The Bravura Team 1

Background: During 5th Gen I had a series of teams named "Swag Team". I had over 50 Teams during this series and the main point of these teams were experimentation. I had experimented with just about every Pokemon you can think of. Wartorle, Raticate, everything. I played mainly OU with these teams but I wanted to prove I was good by using Pokemon of any tier.

Later I created a new series, "Swag Team Forever", which I had only had created about 25 of. I also focused less on experimentation and I focused on my current team building method. This is my first full 6th Gen team and this Generation I wanted to pay tribute to my late clan, The Bravura Alliance. Bravura means bravery in spanish and since thats the case I will be experimenting more. This team will be available for anyone use and will be on multiple sites. So without futher ado, I present: The Bravura Team 1. The Importable data is below.

Gyarados
196 Hp/ 252 Special Defense/ 64 Speed
W/Careful
*Intimidate
@Gyardosite
Thunder Wave
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake

In this team, Gyarods is a somewhat tankish sweeper. With full Special Defense EVS and Careful nature, Gyarados gets 328 Defense, and with 196 EVs in HP, it gets 379HP. This makes it a good Special Wall. Mega Evolution here allows you to futher boost your Offensive and Defesive Capabilies. Upon Mega Evolution it will gain 394 Special Defense from the Special Defense investment. If you decide to use Dragon Dance then Gyrados Attack will hit 346 without any investment at all and will have 300 Speed. Gyarados also gains more of a chance to counter Electric type pokemon. It can survive most special attacks and Earthquake will OHKO pretty much any electric pokemon, even without using Dragon Dance. I think Gyrados is a good lead because it has good all around stats and can get maybe a early game sweep going. It also can play support by using Thunder Wave.

Garchomp
252 Attack and Speed
W/Jolly
*Rough Skin
@Yache Berry
Earthquake
Outrage
Poison Jab
Swords Dance

Originally Garchomp was added to the team to support Gyrados, by taking no damage to electric type attacks. Garchomp here primarily plays as a sweeper. With 359 Attack, Garchomp can punch holes in the opponent out of the gate, and will pretty much kill any Pokemon it can inflict a super effective hit on. Many Electric Types pack Hidden Power Ice, which would usually OHKO Garchomp but because of Yache Berry, it should survive with at least half of its HP in tact. Also Garchomp is pretty speedy, so it can outrun many treats in the current Metagame. Poison Jab is a coverage move that is mainly supposed to be used as a last result against Fairy types. Garchomp, because of its high attack can deal an impressive amount of damage to fairy types with Poison Jab without even using Swords Dance. In a pinch, it works very well and has a high chance of killing when the Fairy is already damaged, but not as great of a chance if the Fairy hasnt yet been damaged yet.

Heatran
252 Special Attack and Speed
w/Modest
*Flash Fire
@Choice Scarf
Magma Storm
Flash Cannon
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse

Even though ScarfTran has become somewhat more common these days, it still isnt very expected. When used correctly, just the fact
that you get the surprise factor can make a big difference. Heatean covers Garchomps Fairy Weakness completely and also its weakness to dragon. With Scarf and Speed investment it hits over 370 Speed, and with modest nature it hits 394 Special Attack. Magma Storm being its main attack has 120 Power, plus Stab. That means out of the gate, Heatran hits very hard, and its very hard to outrun. Also another plus to Magma Storm is that if incflicts damage each turn which means that you can use it to elimimate Sash and band users. From there it has Earth Power, mainly to counter other Heatrans, Dragon Pulse, to cover Dragon types, and Flash Cannon for Fairy types and dual stab.

Sylveon
252 Special Defense and Special Attack
W/Modest
*Cute Charm
Leftovers
Moonblast
Protect
Wish
Hyper Beam/Shadow Ball

Sylveon dosent really have the power to sweep. Even at 350 Special Attack, its damage output isnt overwhelming, and is actually pretty easy to wall. However it does play a good support role. It does pretty well as a Special Wall and it also covers Garchomp and Heatran. Moonblast can hit Heatran's figthing wekaness and Garchomp's Dragon weakness. Wish and Protect gives it the tools to somewhat stall, and also support the rest of the team with Wish by switching out.

Espeon
252 Special Attack and Speed
W/Timid
*Magic Bounce
Choice Specs
Dazzling Gem
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Trick

Espeon plays an important role in this team. Gyrados may be the lead but Espeopn gives you another option for a first move: to switch. Magic Bounce is a very useful ability, especially against pokemon like Breloom and Smeargle who often try to put you to sleep with Spore, but furthermore, many lead Pokemon set up hazards or use crippling moves, and Espeon bounces their attack back upon them. Espeon also can play as a great late game Sweeper because of it has over 530 Special Attack from specs. With that power, and STAB Psychic, Espeon puts in major amounts of damage. Shadow Ball is mainly for coverage and Dazzling Gem is meant to give a fighting chance against Tyranitar. Trick can be used strategically to lock the opponent into one move.

Magnezone
252 Special Attack/114 Defense/112 Special Defense
W/Modest
*Magnet Pull
Air Ballon
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Tri-Attack/Hidden Power Fire
Flash Cannon

I dont think that this is the best Magnezone set, or even the best Magnezone set that supports my team, but it works well enough. Air Ballon allows it to mainly help cover up from Ground and Electric sweeping. You can put your own set here if you want.
