Dear Smogon Users, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice our ladder rank to become the very best like no one ever was. But we think you're crazy to make a RMT telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a hard-head, and a villain, and a tank, an appliance, a sex object, and a children's toy...

Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

~*~*~*~*~*~

This is the first team I've ever built on my own that has had some decent success, and don't they just look like the biggest group of misfits there ever was? For some strange reason, it reminded me of The Breakfast Club, so that's the name we're rolling with, okay? To give you a little background on this team, I don't really have a set lead, it depends on who I think the opponent will send out first. I also don't have a set strategy, each member can hold up on their own and each brings something a little different to the table. This team already works really well, and I would love to hear some input on how to make it even better. Enough frabba-jabba, let's get to the meat.

"The Hard-Head"
ferrothorn.gif

Barbara (Ferrothorn) (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Atk / 84 Def
Brave Nature
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Protect
Oh Barbara, what would I do without you... She basically serves as my wall, as well as a physical force to be reckoned with. Power Whip and Gyro Ball are its main STABs, to OHKO virtually any Fairy, as well as do serious damage on any Water or Ground. Leech Seed is to take advantage of bulky walls or camped out sweepers like Conkeldurr and Malamar, and Protect is there for any Fire or Earthquakes. She's a reliable tank that can deal some heavy hits, and probably the most solid member of my team.

"The Villain"
landorus-therian.gif

Jafar (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Superpower
- U-turn
He's named after a villain, and boy does he act like one to anyone that comes across him... Jafar is my fast hitting physical offense. With Choice Scarf, he's virtually unstoppable, making him too fast to catch. Earthquake is his main STAB, to sweep everything on the field. Rock Slide is to take down any kind of bird, as well as to not put my ally in danger. Superpower is for type coverage against Ice, and U-turn to do a little damage before switch out. Jafar works well with almost everyone on my team, and can really clean up in a back half of a match.

"The Tank"
azumarill.gif

Pikablu (Azumarill) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Protect
She's no drummer, but can beat down an opponent... Pikablu is my physical support, for when Jafar isn't suited. I decided to use her as a bulky attacker over a Belly Drummer because Belly Drum is the most common set on Azumarill, and I wanted to throw people off guard. Plus, I not a huge fan on cutting down half of my HP. Aqua Jet is to quickly take out opponents with low enough HP. Waterfall and Play Rough are the main STAB moves, both of which get a large boost from Huge Power, while Protect takes up the last slot. Pikablu makes a good lead, to deal some heavy damage early on, while taking some hard hits like a champ.

"The Appliance"
rotom-heat.gif

Easy Bake (Rotom-Heat) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect
Better get yo medicine ready, cause this thing is gonna buuuuuurn... Easy Bake is my supporting Special Attacker as well as my burner (get it, cause its an oven...). Thunderbolt and Overheat are its main STABs, as Easy Bake is one of my only defenses against threats like Gyrados and Bisharp. Will-O-Wisp is for any bulky wall or physical attacker (or, really just anyone in general), with Protect in case of Rock Slide or Surf. With Levitate, it obviously pairs well with Landorus, as Easy Bake covers his Water and Grass weaknesses. However, he's pretty frail even with a Sitrus Berry, making him one of the less reliable members on my team.

"The Sex Object"

gardevoir.gif
gardevoir-mega.gif
gardevoirite.png

Mirabelle (Gardevoir) (F) @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Telepathy ➙ Pixilate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
Here she is, the star of the show... Mirabelle is my ultimate sweeper, practically my nuclear bomb of the team. When she goes mega, Hyper Voice becomes a 90 base power Fairy move that will have practically any opponent down on their knees. Moonblast is for when she isn't mega, and also for a stronger STAB move than Hyper Voice. Psyshock is her Psychic coverage, and Protect for obvious reasons. Though she is most effective as the destroying mega, she also works well non-mega paired with Landorus with Telepathy.

"The Children's Toy"
hitmontop.gif

Bey Blade (Hitmontop) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Atk / 60 Def / 60 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Wide Guard
- Protect
Can I just say I love Hitmontop's animation... Bey Blade is basically the little support, able to hit hard hits, but he's more for the protection of everyone else. Fake OUt is to stop any potenially hard hitters for a free turn. Close Combat is his STAB for his own defense, as well as to deal with common threats like Heatran. Wide Guard is to protect my ally from Earthquake and Surf, and Protect rounding out the set. Bey Blade usually is my last Pokemon to come out on the field, and I find him to be a bit frail, but defiantly a valuable asset.

So that's the whole gang! (That took way longer than it should have. I'd love to make this team even better, and I appreciate any and all input! K bye

Hey, nice team! Your F/W/G core is getting pretty popular nowadays, and your other Pokémon are very solid as well. I think I can improve a few of your sets to help out with your team's synergy overall.

1) Put Safety Goggles over Sitrus Berry on Rotom-H. You lose recovery, but I think you really need another switch in to Spore and Sleep Powder. Ferrothorn is your only Grass-type and it doesn't kill Amoonguss particularly well, even though it definitely walls it to all hell. Goggles also allows you to ignore Rage Powder, which can really help against things like SubTran because you can Thunderbolt Heatran instead of Amoonguss and make sure it doesn't get a sub up. In addition, you should go with the spread 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe with Modest Nature in order to outspeed Bisharp and burn it before taking a Knock Off.
2) I understand your reasoning for Moonblast on Gardevoir, but the truth is it's really redundant coverage with your other two attacking moves. I recommend running Hidden Power Ground to help you out against Heatran. If you haven't been having too many problems with Heatran, you can run Shadow Ball instead to hit Aegislash harder.
3) I think you should put Quick Guard and Sucker Punch on Hitmontop over Wide Guard and Protect. Hitmontop pretty much never uses Protect, since its whole job is to come in, Fake Out, then protect its teammates. If it's ever threatened in any way, it's easier to just switch out then get another Fake Out turn. That said, Wide Guard doesn't help out as much as Quick Guard in my opinion because nothing on your team is super weak to spread. However, Gardevoir really hates taking Brave Birds and Sucker Punches, so protecting it from that immensely aids its sweeping capabilities. Sucker Punch gives your team more priority and a way for Hitmontop to hit Psychic- and Ghost- types like Cresselia and Aegislash. If you decide to do this, you should probably just go max HP, max attack so you hit harder.
4) Sitrus Berry on Azumarill. It's extremely unlikely that Azumarill is going to live for more than 5 turns, so Sitrus is the superior option for recovery.

There's my rate. Like I said, really solid team. Good luck with the team in the future! :)

Went away for a while only to get beat to it by lol. Anyways, strong team you've got, commendably so for your first team!

I personally don't find Telepathy + Moonblast to be reliable enough to sacrifice a moveslot for something a bit too similar to Hyper Voice, since that's what you'll be spamming most of the time. You can also beat all Wide Guard users (except Aegislash) with Psyshock already. Hence I would propose Hyper Beam over Moonblast. It's insanely powerful, and OHKOing things on the switch is fun. It's really there to quickly dispose of things you hate.
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Beam vs. 252 HP / 120+ SpD Rotom-W: 321-378 (105.5 - 124.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Kangaskhan: 417-492 (118.4 - 139.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Beam vs. 248 HP / 188+ SpD Thundurus: 369-435 (102.2 - 120.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
I don't think running HP Ground would be necessary, for your team handles Heatran well enough. Also, it's a bad move staying in on Aegislash (or any ghost for that matter) to Shadow Ball it.

For Hitmontop, I would say Quick Guard should be used over Protect. As a Fake Out support Mon, it shouldn't be using Protect. Like Dashspin said, Quick Guard is useful and all, but I believe Wide Guard has it's merits still. Gardevoir is still very frail, and preventing a Rock Slide from Terrakion or an EQ from opposing Landorus can be crucial. Muddy Water and Blizzard are some threats to Rotom-W and Landorus-T too, while less common.

Other suggestions I have is Thunder Wave > Leech Seed and Iron Head > Gyro Ball on Ferrothorn. With the exception of Landorus-T, most of your team could use some speed, and Gardevoir's life can be made easier in paricular. Also, you could actually try Belly Drum Azumarill with Sitrus Berry. Hitmontop can provide both Fake Out and Quick Guard support to make setting up on Azumarill trouble-free.

Hope you continue to enjoy this Doubles with your great team man.
