The Choice Triad [First Post]

I made this team today, and have done a decent bit of battles with it, and thought it was good so I thought I would share it.
Braviary.jpg

Braviary @ Choice Band
Ability: Defiant
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Rock Slide
- Superpower

The first member of The Choice Triad. Braviary is a very strong and underrated Pokemon that I enjoyed using in 5th Gen NU, so as soon as I saw it in RU I was exited to start using it. This set is very useful when taking out common special walls like Golbat or Amoonguss, even though they are probably going to switch out Braviary's Brave Birds do a lot of damage to almost everything. You do however have to keep your guard up for Electric types such as, Heliolisk, Eelektross, and Electivire, and Rock types like Rhyperior and Tyrantrum.

(252 Atk Choice Band Braviary Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Golbat: 212-250 (59.8 - 70.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO)

(252 Atk Choice Band Braviary Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Amoonguss: 758-894 (175.4 - 206.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO)

Shiny Lanturn.jpg

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Volt Switch
- Heal Bell
- Toxic

Physically Defensive Lanturn hit me right in the face when RU was released this Gen. I've always looked at Lanturn as a Pokemon with bad defenses, then I noticed its 125 base HP and thought I have to try this out. It's role on this team is to pretty much just wall what Braviary can't take out. It works very well with Braviary because it can take out pesky Rock types like Tyrantrum with 3 Scalds. It also absorbs Electric moves and eats up Ice type moves both of Braviary's other weaknesses. I would not recommend keeping this in on Rhyperior because it can OHKO you with Earthquake but we have something else for that. (Note: You can run Air Balloon instead of Leftovers)

(4 SpA Lanturn Scald vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Tyrantrum: 106-126 (34.6 - 41.1%) -- 61.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery)

Magmortar.jpg

Magmortar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Focus Blast

The second member of The Choice Triad. Magmortar provides sheer special damage that is nearly unmatched in the RU tier. This may sound wierd but Magmortar is the something for Rhyperior I was talking about. If you can predict a switch or get a free switch into Rhyperior Hidden Power Grass is a guaranteed OHKO and since you outspeed it no matter what it is almost a gimme kill. Besides taking out Rhyperiors it can also tare through teams with Fire Blast (Can run Flamethrower if preferred, but not recommended). Thunderbolt is a good coverage move for Water type Pokemon when you need something more powerful than HP Grass. And finally Focus Blast is just for coverage over Rock type Pokemon. The above and the fact that Magmortar is decently bulky on the special side makes him a forced to be reckoned with.

Shiny Golbat.jpg

Golbat @ Eviolite
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt
- Whirlwind

The reason Golbat is on this team aside from the obvious It's a fucking Golbat, is because I needed something that could take almost every special move I ever want it to take. It renders a lot of Leads useless with Taunt and can Whirlwind out Pokemon that setup. Along with reliable recovery, and a Brave Bird that sends things running with only 4 EV's into attack, Golbat is a very strong Pokemon that shouldn't be underestimated.

(252 SpA Rotom-C Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Golbat: 150-176 (42.3 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO)
(4 Atk Golbat Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rotom-C: 102-121 (42.3 - 50.2%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO)

Medicham.jpg

Medicham @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Drain Punch
- Psycho Cut

The third and final member of The Choice Triad. Medicham is here for one reason and that is to be fast. Although Medicham doesn't have the highest base speed if you slap a Choice Scarf on it, it can run through teams. It gets access to Bullet Punch which is great for priority, and it gets Drain Punch which can raise its health to full if used on the right Pokemon. Thunder Punch is there to take out Flying type Pokemon trying to oppose Medicham, and Psycho Cut is just there for a good STAB move. Medicham is great for threats like Cinccino, and Zoroark.

Claydol.png

Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Claydol is used on this team to be a great special wall that pairs good with Lanturn, but that isn't its only use. Claydol can both setup Stealth Rock, and use Rapid Spin, those are two essential things to this team considering the Weakness to Stealth Rock this team has, and the reliance on sheer attack damage. Claydol can also wear down special attackers by using Toxic. Claydol is nearly essential to this teams survival, but you don't need it to win it just helps a lot if it is alive.
