Hello everybody! My name is Jayson but you can call me CrazyLittleJay. This is my first RMT and my first team I ever made by myself. The idea of this team was to make a team using Escavalier. I love the Pokemon and I hoped that it would be a good team. The Cleveland Cavaliers are also my favorite NBA team. <3

Teambuilding Process

Like I said before, I wanted to create a team around Escavalier so I looked for a good teammate to team it with, the choice was between Rotom-W and Kingdra since they both resist Fire and are amazing Pokemon. I went with Kingdra since it x4 resists Fire and I also love his design! I guess I could also say that I hate using Rotom-W xD. Escavalier also resists both of Kingdra's weaknesses, Dragon and Fairy.

Next, I found that I needed a Pokemon that doesn't mind getting intimidated if a Pokemon is switching in on my Escavalier, so I went with Bisharp. His ability Defiant makes it so that when he gets any stat lowered he will gain a +2 boost in Attack. This makes it so that if he is intimidated, he will be +1 at the end of the turn. I partnered Bisharp up with my 3rd favorite Pokemon, Gengar. The reason why I chose Gengar is because he is immune to 2 of Bisharp's weaknesses, Ground and Fighting. While Bisharp is immune to Gengar's weakness, Psychic and resist both Dark and Ghost.

Next, I told myself if I have 2 steel types maybe this team could be a sandstorm team. So I was thinking do I want to use Hippowdon with Mega Garchomp or do I use Mega T-Tar with any Ground/Steel/Rock type. So I decided to use Mega T-Tar just because I love it's bulkiness and it's design. I partnered it up with Life Orb Mamoswine not because it has synergy but because it takes no damage from sandstorm or hail and it's a REALLY hard hitter.

Finally, the long waited sets.
Escavalierthrust.gif

Cleveland (Escavalier) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace

Ahhhh Escavalier, how I love you. Since most super effective attacks are 2HKO's I find that using the SD set is useless since he is so slow and has no priority. One day... one day he will get Bullet Punch. So I went with the AV set! Those special hits can now be 3HKO or sometimes even 4HKO's! I love this set so much. Megahorn and Iron Head for S.T.A.B. Knock Off because of it's great power and usefulness. I'm running Aerial Ace for Pokemon like Conkeldurr which I have nothing for...

230.png

Queendra (Kingdra) (F) @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Focus Energy
- Scald
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon

This set is my favorite in history. 100% Crit ratio is OP with Draco Meteor and moves of that sort. I'm running Focus Energy, obviously so that I can get my 100% going. Scald my basic S.T.A.B. Some people say surf is better cuz it has more power but this move has a 30% chance to burn, but we all know 30% is actually 75% in Pokemon... Draco Meteor is OP when you get crits non-stop! It ignores that stat drops COMPLETELY and has a 100% chance to crit on Latios, Garchomp, Salamence, other Kingdras and Dragonite even with multiscale! THAT'S MORE CRAZY THEN ME! Flash Cannon is just for fairies who think they wall me like Sylveon (2HKO). This set doesn't work on steel types and that is it.
-252 SpA Sniper Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Latios on a critical hit: 711-840 (235.4 - 278.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-252 SpA Sniper Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp on a critical hit: 885-1044 (247.2-291.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-252 SpA Sniper Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Salamence on a critical hit: 930-1098 (280.9- 331.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-252 SpA Sniper Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kingdra on a critical hit: 804-948 (276.2 - 325.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-252 SpA Sniper Kingdra Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kingdra on a critical hit: 804-948 (276.2 - 325.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Checkmate (Bisharp) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Brick Break

Bisharp.... not much I can say about him. Bisharp was more of a support/filler for the team. Knock Off and Sucker Punch (Obvious) are those 2 moves you pretty much NEED on Bisharp. Iron Head is there just for S.T.A.B. Brick Break is amazing because it catches so many people off guard when I bring my Bisharp in on their Bisharp and I Brick Break and OHKO them. It feels so good :D! I went for the bulky EV's because it's kinda OP...

gengar_sprite__black_and_white_by_night1010-d3bknx0.gif

King Boo (Gengar) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Icy Wind
- Focus Blast

Ah King Boo... a.k.a my revenge killer/scarfer. This pokemon is the ideal revenge killer out there. It's moveset is beautiful and catches people off guard. I guess you can run Expert Belt but then +1 Speed Haxorus/Mence/Dragonite can outspeed you and crush you... Shadow Ball for S.T.A.B, Sludge Wave for S.T.A.B and it has higher base power than Sludge Bomb. Icy Wind is for opposing dragons who want to setup dragon dances and u cant 2HKO most of them. Focus Blast is because if Bisharp and Mamo dies. Opposing T-Tar's can be a problem.

248-mega.png

Godzilla (Tyranitar) (M) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Fire Punch

Mega T-Tar is a complete monster with 1 DDance up. I'm running Rock Slide over Stone Edge just because of accuracy. I hate Stone Miss... Crunch for one of the most powerful Dark type S.T.A.Bs and Fire Punch for Steel types like Scizor,Ferro and Skarm. I'm running Jolly because a lot of people who run this, run Adamant but now I can outspeed and get a nice crunch off.

Mamoswine_BW.gif

Frozen (Mamoswine) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

Rather than running the traditional Focus Sash-Stealth Rocks Lead, I'm running a Life Orb set but it is still my most common lead. Opponents who have Espeon on their team either lead with it or switch into it.... Knock Off is a 2HKO after Leftovers Recovery. Icicle Crash is for S.T.A.B. Ice Shard is for a powerful S.T.A.B with Life Orb and priority. YUM! Earthquake for S.T.A.B and coverage.

So that's going to wrap up the RMT! I hope you enjoyed! If you wish to use this team, I don't mind but keep the nick names please. :)

Solid...Ass...Name... By chance are you guys going to pick up Crustle Westbrook? I hear he's solid n_n As far as he team goes I really like how it's structured and is much better than the average first time team makers attempts. That being said there are a few changes that need to be made that I shall address.

Cleveland (Escavalier) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace

Really nice set here I think lol, never used Escavalier before but this set looks fine.

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower

You had three Pokemon weak to Fighting and only one immunity that was weak to Dark. For that reason I suggest swapping out Kingdra completely and running a sexy ass Azumarill. Azumarill gives you a Fighting and Dark resist on top of giving you yet another solid revenge killer all the while maintaining your water type synergy. The set I posted is very standard and has nothing reason to explain. Also be sure to name him something good, it's my favorite Pokemon.

Checkmate (Bisharp) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 SDef / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Bisharp is best when he goes fast this generation simply due to the fact that getting a +2 is insanely easy and out speeding some otherwise troublesome threats increases your chance of winning. The 4 leftover EVs were placed in special defense rather than HP due to the fact that you will take 9% from recoil as opposed to 10% with 4 HP EVs. As mentioned earlier getting a boost is easy so Swords Dance is preferred over Brick Break. You have Azumarill now with a Fighting type move now anyway so you don't lose the coverage.

King Boo (Gengar) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Destiny Bond
- Focus Blast

This set was pretty good except for the rare Icy Wind. That move isn't the best on a Gengar to be fine with, much less a scarfed set. Try running Destiny Bond over Icy Wind to kill off huge threats and take down set up sweepers before they can do a ton of damage. Plus it makes your opponent rage when they lose their best Pokemon so that's a plus.

Godzilla (Tyranitar) (M) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Fire Punch

Another really solid set so nothing needs to be changed. Usually you would use an Ice Punch over Fire Punch but for your specific team Fire Punch utter suited for the job.

Frozen (Mamoswine) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

Stealth Rock is one of the best assets to any team regardless of the playstyle and player skill. Getting some damage off on things every time a new Pokemon swaps in can be the making or breaking point in any given match. Additionally Life Orb was swapped out for a Focus Sash to allow Mamoswine to fill the role of a lead.

That was pretty much all that needed to be changed man. It might look like a lot but for your first team that is not bad at all. Good luck with this and other teams in the future and don't be afraid to PM me or VM me for another rate.

Hey! Thanks for the rating! I will definitely try out Azumarill! The Bisharp will be tested so Brick Break might stay but the EVS will change, depending on how it feels with the team. For Mamoswine, would I be able to keep Life Orb over Focus Sash and still use Stealth Rock? Just because I find that he takes so many hits he doesn't even need Focus Sash. For Gengar, I don't really understand why you would run Destiny Bond on a scarfer, I will test it though!

You run Destiny Bond on a scarfer to almost guarantee you go first. Let's say the Bisharp has boosted to +4 and is virtually unkillable, you have Destiny Bond in the back to stop his sweep. On Bisharp, Brick Break only helps against other Bisharps or a something like a Lucario. Swords Dance allows you to boost on the switches that you will force just because you are a Bisharp and make it much easier to sweep teams. The reason I said sash over orb was so that you have a guaranteed chance to get up Stealth Rock. If you lead with Mamoswine and they lead Manaphy or Rotom-Wash or something of the same nature, you will get OHKO'd without doing anything. Using a Focus Sash also allows you an even better chance at revenge killing something while a Life Orb trades the much-needed utility in a Focus Sash for raw power.

Hey Lil J, very nice team you have here.

Really like how your building a team around an underused mon in Escavalier, yes, Bullet Punch will one day be endowed to him.

Nog pretty much covered alot of what you can expect from the ladder. I would, however, like to make one small modification.

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef -> 208 HP / 252 Atk / 48 Spe

My Input: The 44 Speed EVs are to outspeed stuff like Blissey, Tyranitar and random mons like Porygon2 and Magnezone. It is a ladder after all and randomness will be seen.

If you want to run the EV spread that Nog gave you then I would suggest running BellyJet Azumarill yourself.

Aside from that I really like the team and hope you have fun ruining other people's lives with it :-)

P.S. From aesthetic point of view, why not nickname your mons after players on the cavs!!! Escavalier HAS TO BE Anderson Varejao cause of his hard work, but can be injury suspect (aka 4x weak to Fire) and Gengar is definitely Kyrie Irving; the boy can cook about is about as brittle as Fine China... LMAO!!! :-D

Thanks for replying :) I kept Kingdra just because I found that with azumarill I had so many physical pokemon so rotom-w with will-o-wisp is troublesome.
