Welcome to my first rmt!
I have used this team on shoddy for a while, but I want to bring it over to platinum. but before I do that I'd like to know how to improve it (I don't want to waste a lot of time.)
I win most of the time, but I have no numbers...
This team is pretty much pure offense, mainly focused on getting gya out and playing from there.
(more team strategy later)

The Party
I almost got all my type colors into party!

The lead.
infernape.png

Infernape (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fake Out
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Close Combat
---
Infernape, as a lead, is insane.
I Fake Out, then I have a lot of choice on what to do.
Fake Out owns sash users like Smeargle, while CC and FB hit a wide range of targets.
Why I chose him:
This goes great with gya, as everyone tries to EQ him or use a water attack (Which Gya can switch into).
He also gets SR up which helps my sweeping.
---

The main sweeper.
gyarados.png

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/108 Atk/100 Def/144 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Taunt
---
I based my team around DD Gya, if used right it can be insane.

It goes great with Ape, being able to switch in on his weaknesses,
this thing kills and attempts to cause as much damage as possible.
I made it bulky so it will last longer (obviously) and cause more havoc.

Why I chose him:
I based my team off DD gya so there isn't a real reason why I chose him.
---

The mindgamer.
jolteon.png

Jolteon (m) @ Life Orb
Volt Absorb
Timid
4 HP / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Signal Beam
-HP Grass
---
Why I chose him:
The BIG reason why I have him is his Volt Absorb.
As everyone tries to hit Gya with electricity (most of the time), I can switch him in and cause some havoc.
---

The revenge killer.
heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
---
Heatran is awesome.
He out speeds TONS of unscarfed stuff.
He takes a lot of my weaknesses and laughs them off (Elec, Fire, Ice).
---
Why I chose him:
Heatran covers lots of my weaknesses:
Scizors 4x fire weakness (He ABSORBS it)
Salamences 4x ice weakness.
Salamences 2x Dragon weakness.

While Salamence resists Heatrans big ground weakness.
---

The red scout.
scizor.png

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
---
Scizor works great with Gya and Heatran.
Being able to come in after Gya dies, and pursuit is just to awesome.
---
Why I chose him:
It should be fairly obvious why.
He helps scout out my Gya weaknesses, then I U-turn into someone who counters it.
Pursuit also helps me revenge kill after Gya (or someone else) dies.
---
The special sweeper
salamence.png

Salamence (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Pump
---
I knew I needed a special sweeper, so I chose Specsmence.
No one ever seems to expect this, allowing me to do even more damage to there team.
--
Why I chose him:
I've always liked specsmence.
He can come in and the opponent flees thinking I'm gonna outrage or something.
The mindgames are incredible, giving me a slight edge, while I kill the opponent.
---

Team building:

I knew I wanted to base my team off DD gya, so this was easy.

Now I needed someone who could counter Gya's biggest weakness, so, Electivires motor drive looked good.

I knew I needed SR up to help my sweaping. Infernape looked the best.

Now I knew I needed a scout before I could risk Gya (unless there was a good opening)

Uh.. Heatran only has 3 moves. ^^;
Now, I know you like E-vire for its Motor Drive thing.. but for absorbing electricity, Jolteon is a far better canidate. I think your team would do really well with a Life Orb Jolteon.
Jolteon@ Life Orb
Volt Absorb
Timid
6 HP / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Signal Beam
-HP Ice / Grass

HP Ice or Grass is a difficult decison for this team. You don't have any other grass moves, but you have some hard core special power in terms of SpecsMence. Personally, I'd go with HP Grass, since a Life Orb thunderbolt KO's Mence after SR damage + a Life Orb recoil if I remember correctly. I don't have a lot of time though, and don't feel like doing the calcs right now, you can do those and determine which move you want.
Another alternative is making Salamence a mixed sweeper, which is very effective, more so than Specs Mence in my opinion, and putting Specs on Jolteon.
One more thing: try and update your descriptions with a little more than
"It's awesome, it's fast/powerful, I really like it, it outspeeds stuff". Say what things which pokemon handles in particular. Like "Gyarados is my Lucario counter, and sets up on Choice banded Scizor. It also taunts the likes of Skarmory from Roaring me out."
Anyway, good luck with your team, it's about time I head off.

Fixed it. I guess I just edited that out on accident...

Alright I think I will switch Electivire.

I though I did a pretty good job with descriptions...
I guess all work on it when I get more time.

Thanks for the help!

Hooray, got done with my homework. ^_^
Anyway, I wasn't saying you did a bad job on the descriptions, I mean they get the point across, but you could be more specific, it helps you get more rates by letting people see what you can counter effectively, therefore making it easier to identify what you can't.

You need to expand your descriptions, especially Jolteon and Gyarados. PM me the improved descriptions and I'll unlock your thread. Locking this under rule 3 in the meanwhile:

RMT rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
