The Discharge Doubles Team (Featuring Electivire!)

Hi everyone!
This is a team that I have recently thought up of that I am considering using in the Battle Tower. The central idea of the team is to use Discharge to increase Electivire's speed for a sweep.
(I have left out some spaces as I am unaware of what moves/EV's to use, also natures can not be changed.
Also, this is for Pearl so No Platnium tutor moves can be used)
The team as follows:

145.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Impish - Pressure
EV: 252 HP, 200 Def, 36 Spd
- Discharge
- ?????
- Roost
- U-Turn

Zapdos' main job is to support Electivire while in battle. Being Flying-Type, he is immune to Electivire's Earthquake. Roost is for obvious recovery, but unfortunatly I won't be able to use Earthquake on that turn. I am not sure for the last slot, U-Turn is there for obvious damage and in case I need to switch for Gliscor. Typical EV spread for bulky Zapdos.

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Lonely - Motor Drive
EV: *Unknown* (recieved in trade)
- ThunderPunch
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop

Typical Electivire, recieves speed boosts from Zapdos and Magnezone and then sweeps. Nothing else to say.

462.png

Magnezone @ Life Orb
Quiet - Magnet Pull
EV: 108 HP, 220 Sp.Atk, 60 Sp.Def, 120 Spd
- Magnet Rise
- Discharge
- Reflect
- Tri Attack

As with Zapdos, Magnezone is used to speed up Electivire while still causing damage. It will come in and use Magnet Rise (as to avoid Electivire's Earthquake) and then Discharge to speed up Electivire. Reflect is to support Electivire against physical attacks and Tri-Attack is there for move diversity. Unusual EV spread, took some out of Sp.Atk and placed it in HP, Spd & Sp. Def. Defence is high enough so no EV's are needed in it.

472.png

Gliscor @ Shell Bell
Quiet - Hyper Cutter
EV: 252 HP, 28 Def, 12 Sp.Def, 218 Spd
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Stone Edge

Can come in from a Zapdos' U-Turn or a switch. Immune from Discharge and Electivire's Earthquake so that is convient. Roost for quick recovery, Ice Fang to hit those annoying ground-types. Placed Stone Edge for more coverage & damage. Used the 'Speedy Tank' EV set but placed the leftover Ev's into Sp.Def.

So that's my planned team. This is my first RMT, so i'm open to suggestions and changes but don't be too harsh. Thanks and Please leave your suggestions. :toast:

P.S. I don't care about IV's so Hidden Power is out of the question!

Uhh...You kind of need EVs and full information to get a complete rate, but whatever.

Zapdos

First of all, you don't want Impish on Zapdos. Ever. It lowers SpA, so go with Bold. Also, if you are planning on going bulky, which you should do, go with these EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe, as they give you a decently Bulky Zapdos to Discharge and U-turn with. You do know that you can be hit with a Super Effective Earthquake when Roosting, though, right?

Electivire

If you can, but seeing as you already have this, you can't, go with an Adamant nature. Or, keep Lonely, and go mixed, with Flamethrower over Earthquake or Cross Chop.

Magnezone

I'd replace this with something like Heracross. Heracross doesn't care too much about being paralyzed, seeing as it gets a Guts boost. You don't need two Dischargers, seeing as Zapdos is bulky enough.

Gliscor

I'm not really feeling this one. I'd replace it with a Mixed Swampert, seeing as he is immune to Discharge. Go with Earth Power, Surf / Waterfall, Ice Beam, and another move.

zapdos needs heatwave and flygon is probably better than gliscor because it has more attack and also learns heatwave

I know you said you can't change the natures. . . but:

Zapdos would be much better fi you could obtain Bold (for a bulky build) or Modest / Timid (for a sweeper build). Ditch lightscreen, as Electivire will probably be hit by EQ anyway. If you got for a bulky spread, try the following EVs: 252 HP / 220 Defense / 36 Speed with Heat Wave / Substitute / Discharge / Roost as a moveset. You could also - if you obtain a Zapdos with the coreect IVs - give him HP Ice or Grass.

Electivire would be a little bulkier with Adamant nature, unless you want to go mixed with Thunderbolt / HP Ice / EQ / CC, but again, you'd have to acquire one with the right IVs. If you remain with this spread, try and get an untouched Elekid to train yourself, Adamant nature, and give it the standard EV spread: 6 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed.

Even though it's STAB, Flash Cannon is terrible. Only use it if you have nothing to cover Rock-type Pokemon. If you want to help Electivire more, I'd drop Flash Cannon for Reflect, and give him HP Fire / Tri attack as his last move.

Try Stone Edge / Stealth Rock / Toxic as a last move for Gliscor.

That's all for now. Try those.

OK, I made some changes, including:

- Giving Zapdos a bulky EV set.
- Stayed with U-Turn on Zapdos, still unsure of last move.
- Kept Electivire the way it is, keeping it entirely physical.
- Finished Magnezone's moveset (removing Flash Cannon and putting in Reflect & Tri Attack.

These are the things that I really need help with as I don't have a clue:
- A last move for Zapdos.
- A last move for Gliscor, but I am seriously considering Stone Edge.
- An item for Gliscor, as Zapdos already has Leftovers, but that can change.
- EV spreads for Magnezone & Gliscor, looking for bulky-ish sets, will probably give 252 HP for Gliscor.

Also, I don't really want to change the members around as I really like this theme.
So help for that will be apprechiated a lot, thanks heaps to those already giving suggestions.
THANKS!

Edited the pokemon more, including:
- Giving EV spreads for Gliscor & Magnezone, although unusual.
- Gave Gliscor an item (Shell Bell), for recovery as Zapdos has Leftovers.
- Gave Gliscor Stone Edge for last slot.

Thanks to those who have helped, I just need one more thing....
- A life.
No, seriously, all I need is a last move for Zapdos, I'm thinking Drill Peck or Subsitute.

I really need help for this, so please post.
