The Dream Team

First off: I'd like to greatly thank the #mentor IRC for helping me out with this team. I'm not sure who helped me in particular, but you know who you are if you do. I appreciate all the help I've been given to help build this team together, and I thank you greatly for helping me in teambuilding skills alltogether. I seriously owe you guys something.

Anyways, this is a team I whipped up a while ago in Showdown!. It HAS changed alot, and it's kind of common in terms of Pokemon seen around this gen. But I don't use them because they win - mostly for the fact that they can work well together.

hAx0r (Genesect) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz

I really liked Genesect this gen, so using it on a team was one of my main ideas, even in it's prime stage when it was still horrible. It's actually really good despite it not being Uber anymore (really suprising) but it still works really well. Genesect is kind of a quick-attacker, dealing damage and then just getting out of there, or just scouting around with U-Turn. While Genescarf is a common set this gen, it works really well, and I enjoy using it. This robo-bug does it's job well, and I always love being able to pull it out.

Lil' Mac (Lucario) (M) @ Lucarionite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Aura Sphere
- Flash Cannon
- Dark Pulse
I never had a chance to use Mega-Lucario on a team, due to the other teams I've built I've never gotten to use this beast. I'm glad I have - Mega Lucario is pretty much my sweeper if I can, as even one Nasty Plot can take out things with a quick blink. This, again, is a pretty common set (as most as the sets on this team are) but they work really well with eachother, as Lucario can switch in on any Knock Off / any other move threatning my team, especially with Justified giving it a Attack boost. While I'm sure you don't, don't underesterate Lil' Mac, he'll tear you a new one if you let him.

Zappyzap (Thundurus) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
Thundurus, like Genesect, was lowered down to OU for some bizzare reason. Either way, this gen he works really well with this team, because it can take out speedy threats with Thunder Wave, which will always go first because of Prankster. It's also a good switch into Earthquakes, which 2/3 team members are weak to, and it can easily hurt them with HA Ice. Nasty Plot also gives this thing the ability of being a good sweeper, as if it gets up one it can do deadly damage with Tbolt. While it seems weird to mix the two, status and sweeper, (this is the Smogon set so whatever) it works really well and Thundurus is a great member of the team.

Wishy Washy (Rotom-Wash) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
- Rest
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
The single most used Pokemon this gen besides Talonflame, Rotom-W has earned it's place for OU this gen. Not only is it a good counter to Talonflame, resisting both it's STAB's and eating up Brave Birds like it's dinner, but it can wash out it's damage easily with the RestoChesto set. Will-O is to cripple physical attackers, and is mainly my other option if Thundurus can't inflict it's Twaves. It can also take anything from a physical attacker, as it's only real weakness is Grass and you'll only see a common Power Whip as a physical attack. While it may not like Solar Beams, I do have other members on my team to take care of this. Rotom-W can clean the competition, by being great team support.

Muramasa (Aegislash) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 236 HP / 16 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Ball
Ah, Aegislash. Such a cool Pokemon. Not only is this one of my favorite Pokemon this gen, but it works even better in OU. While everything about Aegislash is learned in Prediction 101, Aegislash can work well even if you catch your opponent off guard. I use this thing to block Fighting types, or anything that's not a Ghost/Dark/Fire/Ground move. I would've opted Weakness Policy over Leftovers, but Leftovers lets it be a bit more bulky considering how weak Aegi-Blade is. I hope the 3rd Pokemon game this gen gets Move Tutors like BW2, and I hope it gives Aegislash even more options. This guy has potential and everyone knows it.

IT'S COOL GUY (Garchomp) @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
As weird as it seems, this thing is usually just for setting up rocks. However, this works well, because Garchomp can set up rocks on turns when I KNOW someone's gonna switch into a Fairy, and then switch out into something else. It can also hit hard while it can, by attacking with Dragon/Fire/EQ, and it does it's job nicely, and it works really well because everyone mostly predicts it to be a attacker and have Outrage, so people usually switch in their Fairies onto this, which lets me get up free rocks. This thing is usually my lead, because getting up rocks is a large priority for me.

(And yes don't remind me that will-o-wisp doesn't work on fire types I was kind of still used to gen 5)
I know there are probably some notable improvements, but if there are, I'd appreciate listing out the potential problems there are. Much thanks!

Nice team but, if the opponent's lead is a galvantula with sticky web and focus sash, it's a game over, because put it out half your team...
Put a spinner or defogger :)

I dunno, I think it'd be a bit of a waste to have a spin/defogger. Considering Rocks/Spikes, they don't hurt my team much, and even if I do get Sticky Web, it's not that bad, because it really depends on the other half of their team.
