Okay, so hear me out. Some of these sets are a little unconventional, but I wanted to optimize this version of the team. Our cast:
Blue Beetle (Heracross) (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endure
- Flail
- Reversal
- Knock Off
Bug sweeper #1. I kinda liked the endureversal strategy, and I wanted to see if there was a Pokemon that got Reversal and Flail because that seemed cool. I noticed Heracross got both. Not only that, but it has Moxie and Knock off as well, so it gets stronger after every kill and isn't bait for ghosts...Obviously for late game.
Lightning (Zeraora) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 244 Atk / 16 SpA / 248 Spe
Naive Nature
- Close Combat
- Plasma Fists
- Volt Switch
- Fire Punch
Mega Aero is a problem, for the Heracross sweep, so I chose to use this speedy electric as an assassin for Mega Aero and priority users like Mamoswine (when weakened) and Bisharp. Volt switch is for momentum, while fire punch was mostly for grass types and Scizor, public enemy number one for an endureversal set.
Skeleton Key (Klefki) @ Choice Band
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Switcheroo
- Foul Play
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
I wanted hazard support for the sweepers, so I chose Klefki for the job. Switcheroo can cripple walls and tricking a choice band makes foul play hit harder from what I can tell. I chose to forgo defog since the strategy relies on Heracross being at 1hp, so hazards don't really cripple him as much. Thunder wave is just in case I catch an Aero.
Sun Wukong (Infernape) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Mach Punch
The lead. I chose Infernape to be my stealth rocker. U-turn is for momentum and Mach punch is largely for weakened opponents (and to justify iron fist). Part of me also wants to use taunt for defoggers.
Jason (Bisharp) (M) @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
Bisharp is the other ghost killer with Darkinium Z for maximum ghost removal. He is also here to discourage defog and sticky web because of Defiant. I might swap knock off with pursuit to ensure that ghosts can't escape.
Bee Afraid (Beedrill-Mega) @ Beedrillite
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drill Run
- Fell Stinger
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off
Bug Sweeper #2. I know this is unconventional, kind of. This Beedrill is for finishing games. Fell Stinger is weak, but not THAT weak thanks to Adaptability. It's stronger than the non-STAB moves. And of course, the effect of the +3 attack when it picks something off. Once at +3 or +6, spam poison jab until something comes up that needs either drill run or knock off to hurt.
Anyway, I wanted feedback mainly on the teammates who are supporting the sweepers and which Pokemon might fulfill their roles better.
