The Family

infernape.gif.v.N_FheaxByovj1sZRjuxWvQ

The Assassin
Infernape @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Sp / 6 HP
Ability: Blaze
Jolly Nature
Moves:
- Flare Blitz
- Thunder Punch
- U-Turn
- Close Combat
This Pokémon’s role on this team: Revenge Killer, Wall Breaker & Physical Sweeper
- With the unbanning of Genesect from Ubers, guys who possess base 100+ speed became a bit of a priority for me as Genesect possesses a base 99 speed. Combine that with his 4x weakness to fire and we get the addition of this guy to the team.
- Can be used as a lead if need be, runs with Choice Scarf seeing as that appears to be the item of choice, aside from the occasional Expert Belt, on opposing Genesect. When played correctly could possibly hide the identity of my item until my opponent gets punched in the face with a Flare Blitz, but would have to be late-mid to late game for this to occur.
- Has Blaze over Iron Fist seeing how Flare Blitz will be taking chunks out of SmashApe’s HP, makes his last Flare Blitz hurt all the more.

The Bodyguard
Gastrodon @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA
Ability: Storm Drain
Bold Nature
Moves:
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Earthquake
This Pokémon’s role on this team: Physical Wall
- The shell on her back signifies one thing, she comes to play defense; hell she has eye black around her eyes and a spiked helmet, true grit.
- Standard viability set with the exception of EQ here, like to keep people on their toes when switching in a Special Wall like Goodra or Sylveon thinking they can set up only to be met with a EQ for possible 2HKO range.

klefki.png

The Safe Cracker
Klefki @ Red Card
EV Spread: 252 HP / 126 SpD / 132 Def
Ability: Prankster
Calm Nature
Moves:
- Thunder Wave
- Flash Cannon
- Recycle
- Spikes

This Pokémon’s role on this team: Hazard Set-Up & General Pain in the A$$
- His ability is all that you need to know about the antics this little guy can pull, he’s like an Animaniac with a magic satchel, only comedy and hi-jinx are about to pursue next
- Flash Cannon is there as Klefki, despite Prankster T-Wave might get taunted, but also double as an SE attack on Fairies
- The item is the final straw on Klefki, Red Card forces switches which, if SR is set up, will very much cause the incoming pokémon pain, combined with a possibility of 1-3 layers of spikes being put up and yes, my opponent is getting pelleted with all the chip damage in the world
mandibuzz.gif

The Vulture
Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 6 Atk
Ability: Overcaot
Calm Nature
Moves:
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Defog
- Knock Off

This Pokémon’s role on this team: Special Wall & Defog User
- This girl has insane bulk and partners well with Gastodon to switch in on any Grass Types.
- Whirlwind adds to phazing this time prides itself on, while Knock Off strips opponents of their precious LO and Lefties.
- Possesses hazard removal in the event I want to set up for the sweep with my boss (TBA)
togekiss.gif

The Right Hand
Togekiss @ Life Orb
EVs: 156 HP / 100 SpA / 252 Sp
Ability: Serene Grace
Timid Nature
Moves:
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Fire Blast
This Pokémon’s role on this team: Special Sweeper & ParaFlincher
- If you’re going to run a Pokémon with Prankster T-Wave, why not synergize it with another annoying Poké who annoys the living hell out of people; admit it, when fighting Cynthia for the Sinnoh league title, this guy’s flinches pissed you off.
- Fire Blast is here to take out Steel and Ice types that will try to rear their ugly heads.
- Roost is here to heal off the LO damage as well as any other damage that might incur, figure to have plenty of chances to do that with everyone paralyzed and all.

The Don

Heracross @ Heracronite
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Sp / 6 HP
Ability: Moxie -> Skill Link
Adamant Nature
Moves:
- Rock Blast
- Pin Missile
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
This Pokémon’s role on this team: THE BOSS
- What can you say about the Stag Bettle Pokémon that can bench 10x his weight? Well if you watch the show, you can call him a gluttonous bastard for the way he kept sucking the pollen from Bulbasaur’s bulb, which doesn’t sound right… let’s move on…
- Apparently, thanks to his gluttony, years later his blessed with a Mega form that takes advantage of this gluttony in the form of Skill Link; combine that with the highest ATK stat of any non-legendary and we are looking at a beast that, left uncheck, we leave behind a trail of broken bodies.

I actually think it is a pretty solid group, I would only suggest considering swapping klefki for a sableye set with will-o-wisp, taunt, recover, and knock off. Togekiss is already keeping dragons in check, so you really wouldn't lose anything defensively, and I have found that the taunt is invaluable, as is having a will-o-wisp to neuter physical threats. Plus having more knock off users is never a bad thing, and recover can make him last significantly longer than klefki. I really only prefer klefki on teams when I need a fairy, but to each his own, try sableye out and see which you prefer

Hello-

Pretty solid team you have here, thanks for the request. Sorry if I'm late with this but here I am to rate the team.

First issues I see is that you have a huge weakness to Talonflame as if Klefki goes down you're pretty much going to get wrecked as Mandibuzz will die to a +2 Brave Bird with your spread and pretty much it will wreck your team failry hard. And considering it is pretty much everywhere it is a massive problem.

I also find Pinsir being problematic as with it's ability at +2 it pretty OHKOes everything with Return that doesn't resist it. It kills your Mandibuzz after Stealth Rocks, and it can outspeed and kill Ape with Quick Attack because that move is now a flying move.

So with issues aside time for the rate:

I would support Oranos and say that you try out Sableye over Klefki as burning Pinsir is more important than Paralyzing it, as pretty much any physical pokemon is completely useless after it sustains a burn. Sableye gets recover which is fantatsic and it gives it more durability than Klefki.

So with the Talonflame issue I recommend you try out Air Balloon Heatran over Infernape as I personally find Infernape underwhelming in this format and Heatran is a complete stop to Talonflame, and with Air Balloon it is a complete stop to Pinsir that carry Earthquake which fixes those weaknesses.

I recommend you put the 252 SDef EVs into Defense so you can live Return and Brave Bird from Pinsir and Talonflame. And I would recommend Foul Play Over Knock Off ,sure Knock Off is nice but you might wanna deal with both of these threats with Foul Play rather than taking off their item, of which you can't with Pinsir.

I recommend Toxic and Earth Power over Ice Beam and Earthquake as Earthquake with a - Nature is really weak and Toxic is kind of required on Gastrodon so it can Poison those annoying walls like Rotom-Wash and the occasional Chesnaught which is helpful.

Sets:

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
-Will-O-Wisp
-Foul Play
-Recover
-Taunt

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
IV's: 0 Atk
Calm Nature
-Lava Plume
-Roar
-Toxic
-Stealth Rock/AncientPower

Good luck with the team and have fun!

PS: run 0 IV's in attack on Togekiss and Gastrodon so they don't take that much Confusion and Foul Play damage.
