I finally am using :pokemon: now 1LDK :)
Hey. It's been a while. Think the last time I made a RMT here was like 6 months ago. I've been going through a lot of teambuilding phases throughout this whole thing. Let's start from the start, or at least a rough estimate of it. It's a long story that I may not be able to cover completely though, so get your reading glasses people over 20.

/
This was iirc the first thing I wanted to do. Specs
to blow stuff up to disgusting heights. This got to 1800+ elo before a tilting disaster. I honestly wasn't proud of this team, and it was kinda meh at being a hstack, so I scrapped it and changed it up with some new faces.

at the time was and still is super cheap with TB, so I really wanted to see how far it could go. The team honestly did only middling at around 1700s. Didn't really like
anyways so I wanted to try something less wack
For a while afterwards I messed with
then with
then back to
and probably
somewhere there.
and
were there too for some reason
This was around the time I saw the potential of
. I really wanted a
check while also being a solid damage dealer, so it fit right in. For a while as well I was trying to get Taunt
to fit but only really abandoned that idea when I got scarf
. Initially didn't have that bad results but it didn't really work. Sorry 80% accuracy.
Finally though, I had finally found something that could work.
was the thing that I thought could do it.

This team I had felt had immense potential for success. I climbed and climbed up to the 1850s to top 100.
Then...I tilted. Hard. Back to the drawing board in midladder hell.
The amount of teams I made to try to make it better would be so large I frankly would feel embarrassed if I did. Just know it was a lot.

These were all the teams I tried to make work for a while. Some had decent success, some didn't. Was desperate enough to use scarf
eugh. In the end though, I found my buddy scarf
. There was some competition between
and
but I ultimately stuck to
. So now here I am.

IT'S TIME FOR THE FICKLE HEARTS
The Last Ronin
@ Assault Vest
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 32 Atk / 128 SpD / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Razor Shell
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
I've been attached to this guy for a long while now and frankly, I don't think I'd ever stop using it. Just works out to be the most effective guy around.
is the main guy against
and
, while forcing progress against bulkier teams with Ceaseless Edge and Knock Off. Honestly, I've talked about this goober enough. It's the swiss army knife even against
as Knock Off can be very annoying for it in the long term, especially with my team's ways of pressuring it. I decided a bulkier spread was needed, as there were more reasons to trade effectively against
and
. Max HP is needed to take on +2 5 fallen Adamant Kowtow Cleave from
after rocks, as well as 2 Tera Ice
Triple Axel. The attack investment helps with a stat bump but also can now OHKO
with Ceaseless Edge. The speed investment is to outspeed most
and
so I can land more threatening attacks vs these guys. The rest is in Spdef which lets me take 2 +2
Sludge Bombs, as well as Modest
Moonblast after rocks. Tera Poison is still here for checking
while now being resistant to
and its Malignant Chain. This guy will tank and whittle down very effectively. I owe this goober a lot for my success.
King Tusk
@ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
is here as a generally solid spinner, access to rocks, and checking both
and
. For a while, I was using a spread to live
Power Whip and +2 5 fallen
Iron Head, but Max Atk and Max Speed are needed to keep
as potent as possible. As much as I hate using rocks on it, its a necessary evil, but I've grown on it at least. Tera Fairy is just a nice typing for stuff like
and still keep a very solid defensive typing. Boots are needed to help
stay healthy in the face of the many threats it has to face. You're gonna still be rough vs
and
but at least it's not the only ground.
Erupting Star
@ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 84 SpA / 176 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb
here is for both its offensive and defensive properties, able to check
and variants of
while being able to force burns onto opponents like
. This guy used to be as fast as Adamant
, but I got cheesed by a paraspam team so that ran its course. Wisp is a nice button to click to surprise some stuff like
and
. Helps that it already threatens
and
. It's incredible at trading with the opponent, and leaving the opponent pretty bludgeoned. Sludge Bomb is here to spread poison on
and hit the fairies like
and
. Tera Bug has been a tera I feel is unexplored with this guy. It lets you take on
more comfortably, offers you a nice burn target in
without having to fear missing and getting clocked by a ice spinner like tera flying, and can really save you vs a
and potentially even a
in sludge bomb range. This guy is excellent at wearing fat down like against
and
, as well as wearing down
, which is really important for this team. Fun guy all around.
The Fickle Heart
@ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Fickle Beam
- Giga Drain
- Earth Power
is a insane fat breaker atm and one of the most splash able checks to
. Phys Def allows me to take on majority of physical attackers like
. It can even take proto attack ice spinner from
and gain most of its health back with giga drain. I'm sticking to Fickle Beam given that its pretty consistent with a nice chance to do crazy damage. Rocky Helmet is nice to grab kills in for
as well as general chip against
and
. Tera Steel is a nice way to get massive chip on
and
, while gaining a new fairy resist vs
and permanently messing with
. This guy chips down opponents super easily, and outlasts the majority of them with regenerator. Absolute madlad of a teammate. 8 spdef help survive
Moonblast from full
Heart of Ghold
@ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 72 SpA / 188 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Make It Rain
is here for the ability to check both
and
while also still having a strong offensive presence with nasty plot. I opted to go in a bulkier direction, as its defensive traits were just too important for the team. 188 speed lets you speed creep stuff like
with the rest being dumped into hp and special attack for some fire power. Was mainly inspired by that one wp ting lu team and its ghold set. Tera Water is a really nice tera to click vs
, plus a lot of teams only really expect tera fairy, so tera water can sometimes just blow them over. Air balloon is still essential here for
and
. This guy used to be a twave trick tera ghost scarf
, but this set is honestly the thing that carried me the most vs teams.
Great Mustache
@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Tera Blast
is here as the speed control of the group, offering its own offensive cleaning potential with tb flying. Intimidate is something that carried me against some teams, especially against
, since you can never be too safe against it. This is the only pivot on the team with U-turn, but this guy is able to pressure the opponent a lot, so you can click it on lead vs a
and it'll generally do its job. TB flying is here to smack
and
, which can sometimes get past the team if
or
isn't healthy. TB ice could be used ig for
but
and
can be a huge wall for
. Frankly, you're gonna have to fight
and
a lot as this guy hoping for stone edge, which can be really infuriating on how stone edge feels that day, but it generally gets the job done at least.
Ability: Sharpness

So honestly, this team has been the most dedicated I've ever been to the game. I hold all these little guys to my heart, they've been the real guys. But I think I might just permanently stay away from ladder now. It became sorta like an obsession or an obligation rather than a actual passion. It sucked. I don't think laddering is a really healthy thing for me, so for the time being I'm prob staying away from that thing. For real this time.
