~~INTRODUCTION~~
Hi guys! I'm here to present you my second RMT. After laddering in Nu i wanted to try RU. After Noivern, and Reuniclus was banned i asked one of my buddies, frostnova10 to help me build a successful Ru team. Please give me some feedback and constructive criticism! It really helps out!
~~TEAMBUILDING PROCEDURE~~
The team building procedure was quite simple. After looking through the suspect test and some other things in RU people said Cobalion is a scary threat. So i added Jellicent in to the first slot to be prepared for it. Then wanted a Physical attacker that doesn't mind dark type moves that much. I Chose Virizon over Cobalion because i didn't really want to use a mon that i was gonna try to counter (and there are gonna be a lot of Jellicent's on the ladder) so, i ended up using Virizon wich appreciates dark types thanks to it's Justified ability and can handle Jellicent fairly easily. Next i wanted some healing support so i added Aromatisse in. Aromatisse is just a standard healer. I made it Sp def since Jellicent is supposed to counter Cobalion who usually runs physical. Next i added a Physical Stealth Rocker and Mega Steelix is an excellent choice for me. You can run Rhyperior if you want tho. Now wanted to add one More Sp Atacker so added Delphox to the team. Now i didn't want it to be a choice locked mon so i asked frostnova10 what i could use. He/She reccomeneded me the salac berry set so i tried it out. Finally i wanted a physical attacker to make the team balanced out. I noticed i was VERY weak to Meloetta so added Spiritomb that can handle any Meloetta set. But, i wanted a physical attacker so used Black Glasses Spirirtomb.
~~IN DEPTH~~
Steelix @ Steelixite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
So, i kind of said what it does in the Teambuilding Procedure. Steelix is here to set up SR so it can hurt mons on the switch in can help Virizon sweep. Frostnova reccomened me the evs since steelix is going to be screwed by special attackers anyway so Max Atk evs make steelix a pretty strong Physical attacker. IF your a small tiny little poke. Steelix is gonna slam you to the ground hard. And he is going to enjoy seeing you drop. Earthquake is another STAB move that can help with opposing steel types and rock types.
Spiritomb @ Black Glasses
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Atk / 84 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play
Do you know how screwed this team is if there is a Meloetta on the opposing side??? Spiritomb can easily just come in and do some crazy things to it. If its the Physical Version of Meloetta Spiritomb can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple it or use Foul Play for heavy damage. Pursuit can be useful if Meloetta is locked in a move such as hyper voice or psychic. Spiritomb doesn't only help me have a check for Meloetta. He can also help with the likes of Druddigon. Weakening his attack is huge. However rough skin and rocky helmet will hurt. I have a battle where this thing just killed 3 pokes by itself o3o.
Virizion @ Leftovers/Lum Berry/ Fist Plate/ Life Orb (Lots of items isn't it. o3o)
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Substitute/ Zen Headbutt
You can go either way with this thing. If your using subsitute you can go for lefties or Fist Plate. IF your using Zen headbutt you can use Life Orb or Lum Berry. It's up to you. This thing can literally rampage a team once it has a few sword dance up or even just one. Although there are some bulky checks to it such as Golbat. Leaf Blade is for water types and there are not a lot of bulky water types in the metagame besides Gastordon, Jelly, and Quagsire but they both get rekt by Leaf Blade. Here are some calcs:
+2 252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Jellicent: 438-516 (108.4 - 127.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 840-988 (197.1 - 231.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Unaware Quagsire: 372-436 (94.4 - 110.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
Close Combat is a secondary STAB that helps deal with steal types that resist your Leaf Blade. Substute is so you can avoid status and get a free turn. Zen Headbutt can be used for Poison types but bulky eviolite pokemon like Golbat can survive it and can easily use Brave Bird and Ko Virizon due to its bad Defense stats and 4x Weakness to flying.

Delphox @ Salac Berry
Ability: Magician
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Fire Blast
- Substitute
Salac Berry Delphox is a pretty cool set that can sweep fairly easily. Once you get 2 calm minds and your in the salac berry zone your good to go. Altough its kind of rekt by sucker punches and priority moves. Subsitute is so you don't get crippled by thunder wave or you won't go down by toxic. Fire Blast is a strong move that can almost ko anything that doesn't resist it. (if you have some calm minds up.) Psychic is for Amoongus and other Psychich types like Golabt that might threaten Virizon. Calm Mind of course is your set-up move so you can get ready to sweep.

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp/Taunt
- Recover
- Scald
- Shadow Ball/Hex
Jellicent is a lovely and excellent physical wall at the Moment. It walls Cobalion easily. It can hit Cobalion back hard with a Scald or a Shadow Ball due to it's Low Sp def. Will-O-Wisp can be use to get a burn of more easily, but scald has a 30% chance and you mostly get it most of the time. Taunt can be helpful to stop Set-up users and hazzard users. Hex can be used over shadow ball if your running Will-O-Wisp since i is stronger after you get of a status on something. Recover is so that you can stay healthy through out the match.

Aromatisse @ Leftovers
Ability: Aroma Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
My healer of the team. She helps the team by curing any unwanted statuses. (mostly burns ;;) Wish can heal of a weakened teammate if you get a free switch in. Moonblast is your only attacking move and can hit Scrafty or any Dragon type hard. Protect is so you can scout the opponents move. It also helps with Wish Stall which is useful if your in a 1v1 situation. This thing is pretty standard. Kind of the only healer in the Ru Metagame that's pretty good. (i might be wrong with that statement.)
~~THREATS~~

Pretty Threathning with it's Powerful Boomburst. However Virizon can take a hit and hit it back with a powerful Close Combat but it can easily switch out. If it's scarf it's less threahtning than it's Choice Specs. I faced this thing many times beofre and somehow won all of them. (pretty amazing tbh) You can play around it, but it's going to need some thinking.

If Spiritomb is down your going to have a hard time. Steelix can take a hit and can hit it back hard with a Heavy Slam. Psyshock is pretty threatening to my Sp Def Wall Aromatisse. I guess you can switch in with Aromatisee first to take a speciall attack and then switch to steelix to take the Psyshock or Psychic. But, if the opponet predicts your switch in and use Psyshock you may have just lost your healer.
