The Imperial Legion

Once you dominate a tier and fully understand the metagame, sometimes you just feel the need to be creative. After trying constantly to get the most out of the gimmicky Electro-Ball and having watched one too many Star Wars movies in one day, I came up with this team, the Imperial Legion. The team is so far undefeated with the exception of a rematch against someone who knew how to put up a fight(and counterteam). Lost to hax 3019043512390 times. I might ladder with this team but I find laddering boring(kinda).

How it wins
This team relies on its sheer offensive pressure to crush the opponents forces and tear teams apart with brute force. Failing that, Grand Moff Tarkin will power up the Death Star and all hell will break loose, AKA gg you lose.
In detail

Grand Moff Tarkin (Masquerain) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 112 Def / 248 HP / 148 Spd
Bold Nature
- Baton Pass
- Quiver Dance
- Substitute
- Hydro Pump Roost
Tarkin's job as Grand Moff of the Imperial Star Fleet is to make sure the Death Star is fully operational. Tarkin will switch in when the opportunity arises and can set up on most special sweepers or support Pokemon. Quiver Dance is one of the best boosting moves in the tier and the SpD boosts help Tarkin survive against special attackers. Tarkin's x4 weakness to rock is a problem but with a few boosts, Hydro Pump will deal with any rock types. Tarkin is usually sent out mid to late game when the opponent is weakened. However, it can go out whenever it wants against stall teams.
EDIT: Roost because SR is more common than taunt. Also took Agent Dell's advice on the EVs
479-fan.gif
Death Star (Rotom-Fan) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Electro Ball
- Air Slash
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
The destroyer of worlds, the Death Star has entered the arena. The thing about it is that isn't completely reliant on Tarkin to dish out damage, it has moderate power even without Quiver Dance. Electro Ball is a gimmicky move that I never got to work outside of this team. It has 150 base power(not including STAB) if the user is 4x faster than the opponent, 120 if the user is 3x faster, 80 if 2x, 60 if 1x and 40 if the user is slower. Quiver Dance gives the Death Star much needed speed to use Electroball properly, usually at 120 BP. Air Slash is the secondary STAB option, Thunder Bolt is for when Rotom has no boosts and HP Fighting hits Rock types for more damage. With 3 Quiver Dances, the Death Star outspeeds the entire tier and pretty much OHKOs it as well. It has moderate natural bulk, meaning very little can actually take it down, as only physical attacks can harm it after so many dances.
REPLACED
I find your lack of faith disturbing...
550.gif
Stormtrooper (Basculin) @ Life Orb
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Crunch
- Rain Dance
I've used Basculin a lot, always the same set, always works. Stormtrooper's Rain Dance has no benefit other than healing up Boba Fett a little and multiplying the power of his own attacks. Basculin tears through anything not resistant to water, and even then a few hits can take the opponent down. Crunch is the only coverage move it has that doesn't stop it from sweeping(read: Superpower). Life Orb is far better than Choice Band. Your damage output is higher because of rain, you can use priority to finish off faster opponents and you can actually do something if the opponent switches into a water resist.
REPLACEMENT
Impressive. Most Impressive.
537.gif
AT-AT (Seismitoad) @ Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Surf
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Rain Dance
The mighty AT-AT does what the Stormtrooper does but with more ease and a lot better. It has coverage and it has power, as well as bulk. This allows it to receive a boost from Tarkin if the opponent is too powerful for the Death Star to handle or if Tarkin is in danger and hasn't gotten much power to give on. Surf over Hydropump for reliability, Earth Power for a standard special STAB, Sludge Wave to deal with grass types and Rain Dance to activate Swift Swim and turn Surf into an even deadlier force.
124.gif
Boba Fett (Jynx) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Energy Ball Lovely Kiss
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
Boba Fett is a man of simplicity: Blow shit up, get paid. Kidnap people, get paid. Use Super Effective move, win the game. Boba Fett is just there to damage the opponent with perfect coverage and defeat Pokemon that others might have trouble with. Energy Ball deals with Golem and other rock types and the rest provide standard coverage.
623.gif
Lord Vader (Golurk) @ Choice Scarf Life Orb
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- DynamicPunch
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake Stealth Rock
Lord Vader, the mighty Sith Lord, is a perfect anti-lead. Outspeeding most common leads via Scarf and dealing large amounts of damage with Dynamicpunch, Ice Punch, Stone Edge or Earthquake, Vader can leave a reasonable dent in most Pokemon, including opposing Golurk. Vader will 2HKO or 3HKO almost every Pokemon, sometimes preventing them from setting up with Dynamicpunch. Then, Vader will retreat and come out at any opportunity later on in the match.
EDIT: Testing out Life Orb, not as fun to use and I'm having a few troubles actually hitting the opponent later in the game. Other than that it's fine.
628.gif
The Emperor (Braviary) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Return
- U-turn
- Rock Slide
When your minions can't do anything, you know you have to do it yourself. The Emperor has one job: Spam Brave Bird until it gets a kill or U-Turn to get a revenge kill. STAB Brave Bird demolishes most Pokemon in the tier. The Emperor almost always gets 1 or 2 kills simply because of his power. Problem is, he dies kinda quick(just like in the movie...)

Threat list

Black: No threat/Slight threat not worth mentioning.
Green: Slight threat. Not that bad.
Yellow: Moderate threat. Can damage my team without the presence of a certain Pokemon.
Orange: Large threat. Can heavily damage my team if I can't act fast enough.
Red: Huge threat. Can take out the entire team unless it can be stopped quickly.
Blue: Negative threat. These Pokemon actually help me.

Offensive threats:

Altaria:Vader and Boba can deal with it easily. Cotton guard variants require a QuiverPass or Boba.

Ampharos: It can pack a punch and can OHKO a lot of the team. However, Vader and a boosted Death Star can deal with it.

Hi there.

You have the right mindset as far as ideas go, but honestly some of your decisions when it comes to choosing Pokemon (and sets) just aren't going to be the best for a team like this. This is especially important considering that you're using a Pokemon like Masquerain, who depends on the teammates that best benefits towards the support that it provides to provide the best amount of quality as possible. This means that virtually everything should have some sort of defines role that best connects towards succeeding with Masqerain. For example, Choice Scarf Golurk is not only very much a situational set, but locking yourself into non-boosted moves can cut you a lot of momentum and otherwise doesn't provide any redeeming qualities that are beneficial for this team.

For starters, I would like to talk about the Masqerain set. First off, not running Roost or any Speed EVs is probably not the most efficient way to go about using Masqerain in the current metagame. I would suggest Roost as the lack of it just makes it a lot harder for Masqerain to find any time to really setup, especially factoring Masquerain's devastating weakness to Stealth Rock. It also can come in handy towards finding more opportunities to setup. As for the EV spread, I would suggest an EV spread of 248 HP / 112 Def / 148 Spe with a Timid nature, which allows Masqerain to outspeed +spe base 95 mons after a Quiver Dance so it can either get out fast enough or attack, which I would suggest Bug Buzz or Air Slash as the attacking option as the former can OHKO Jynx at +1 after Stealth Rock and the latter can do the same towards Primeape.

I'm not particular fond with Basculin on the team since it seems a bit out of the place and none of your Pokemon has the capability of really setting up a win condition in the form of Rain, based on your set. I would swap Basculin for Seismitoad, who can take advantage of Masqerain's boosts far better and sports excellent synergy with it, being able to come in on Rock-, Fire-, and Electric- attacks aimed at Masquerain as it can come in on Grass-types aimed at Seismitoad. It also has just the right amount of combination of offensive stats to pose a significant threat once it has attained a Quiver Dance boost or two. You'd probably want to go more offensive with a SubToxic or Rain Dance set, depending on preference. SubToxic focuses more on breaking though walls and can be helpful in combination of boosts to pace up with faster Pokemon while Rain Dance focuses more on late game sweeping.

If need for a Stealth Rock user, you can use a set that sports that kind of play for Golurk since it would best act its for there for a team like this. If you find its resistances to be a bit redundant for what I've been suggesting, you can also try Metang in placement of Golurk who seems to synergize the team better with the ability to switch into and beat Kangaskhan and Tauros, both of which appears to be noticeable threats for the team as nothing likes taking a ton of priority or STAB from them, respectively.

As for your offensive Pokemon, the presence of Stealth Rock really adds up against you, as several of the team is weak to it and thus you'll be left being very easy to wear down. For wallbreaking, I think that role would be better left for Choice Band Sawk over Braviary, as its able to match up very well against Stealth Rock users that bother Masquerain and being capable of OHKO'ing most veterans unlike Braviary.

Your Rotom-S is good at breaking through certain threats, but it doesn't utilize any speed or provide momentum, both factors that are going to be very beneficial for this team. You should change it a bit and use a Choice Scarf set as a means of serving as a useful revenge killer if Masquerain dies too early to gain any Speed for the team. Rotom-S can pick off opposing teams with repeated Volt Switches and the boosts provided by Masquerain can help it sweep late game as common Scarf users will not be able to outspeed it at +2.

Lastly, Jynx should be using Lovely Kiss and Focus Blast in lieu of Energy Ball and Shadow Ball, as both soft of the current ones doesn't provide any useful additional coverage that Life Orb, Focus Blast, and Lovely Kiss doesn't take care of anyways. Putting something to sleep is one of Jynx's most valuable assets, and being able to provide coverage against Steel-types with Focus Blast will be beneficial as well.

Hope these suggestions are helpful. Good luck with the team.

Testing around tonight, Seismitoad is working really well. Too tired to make proper changes, I'll see how everything goes tommorow morning.

Tested AgentDell's changes. Implementing the ones that I actually found useful.
Did
Change Tarkin's EV's and Hydropump -> Roost
Changed Stormtrooper for Seismitoad(AT-AT)
Changed Golurk to a more supportive role(May change back)
Changed Boba Fett's Energy Ball for Lovely Kiss
Didn't
Use Sawk over Braviary(STAB Spam deals a lot of damage to weakened teams. Sawk cant do that)
Scarf Rotom(Just no)

Also, just because the team has Quiver Pass doesn't mean it's the win condition. It's what I do as a second-to-last resort. The team is already powerful, even with just 5 Pokemon.

Starwars theme: I love you.
