hi guys so i was sitting on my comp one day thinking about how great a type steel is so i decided to make a gl team with it. So far it has done well and won a considerable amount of battles on the ladder. This team follows a typical 3:3 style with 3 steels and 3 wild cards. So I was wondering wat critiques you all had :).
Ok so i first decided to start off with solemns core after seeing it work in my other teams.
Then I thought about steels weaknesses and the first one tht came to mind is fire. So i then added a heatran to my team, also adding my second steel type.
okay so this is my team. I hope you enjoyed reading about it and can help me make it better. Just remember tht this is a steel gl team, and i hav to keep 3 steel types. but if someone makes a great suggestion, i would consider branching the team of away from a gl team and into a normal team. well......THANKS :D
Team Buildng Process:

Ok so i first decided to start off with solemns core after seeing it work in my other teams.

Then I thought about steels weaknesses and the first one tht came to mind is fire. So i then added a heatran to my team, also adding my second steel type.

Next came my third steel type. Scizor. He is a complete boss and i couldnt think of a offensive steel type team without him.

Next came a poke tht could ohko opposing gliscors and was just a powerhouse. Salamence.

After tests salamence wasnt working as well as i thought he would and was soon replaced with a CM latios.

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

Usually my lead. He can get rocks up due to his natural bulk and can inflict damage as well. He serves as the major fire type move absorber for my team and is crucial to my teams synergy. His goal early game is to get rocks up and then switch out to preserve health. Late game this guy is a monster and his natural bulk and power lets him be a powerful late game sweeper. Fire blast and earth power are for stab, while hp ice is for the obvious gliscor/ flying dragon type switch ins.

Latios (M) @ Leftovers

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

My replacement for mixmence and so far he hasnt dissapointed. He can switch in on the obvious fight/ groun moves and recover away the damage. I never used CM latios b4 my friend suggested it to me but let me tell u its a beast. I usually save him for late game and do a clean set up and sweep. I have found tht dragon pulse and surf provides the best coverage, but psyschock would be handy for those pesky virizions tht seriously threaten my team.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 228 SDef / 28 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Body Slam

- Protect

My main sp def wall and the first part of my solemns core. This is a typical jirachi set, I body slam incoming switches/ pokes just hoping to get para hax. from ther its simple, either iron head to death or switch to another poke to take advantage of the crippled poke. wish and protect can be useful for stalling and protect ensures tht jirachi can live to recieve the wish. Wish also provides valuable healing for rotom-w and scizor who are a major part of my teams momentum.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Protect

The second member of my solomns core. He is vital for the ground immunity and fighting resistance that he supplies my team with. He is also my major check to excadrill. Swords dance is usaully used more often in late game, when gliscors checks have been taken out. otherwise i usually keep healthy with protects and forcing switches(giving me a free turn of poison heal). Spamming earthquakes and ice fangs(with stealth rock damage) can usually bring my opponents health low enough for them to be revenged by rotom-w or scizor.

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 200 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

The first member of my scizor/rotom-w sub core. One of the main revengers in my team. CB scizor just does so much damage its insane. after the opponent is worn down through hazards/ LO/ random attacks i can usually come in and sweep wit bullet punch. IMO his most important move is u-turn though. If i am up againsta random poke and i dont know wat they will do/ who they will switch to, I just use u-turn. this move keeps the momentum on my side and allows me to have many more favorable matchups. pursuit is used for trap killing and superpower is used for a certain pink blob.

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Fire]

The third member of my solems core, and the second member of my scizor/ rotom-w sub core. he covers scizors weaknesses greatly and scizor covers his weaknesses. With a choice scarf he can outspeed countless pokes, sitting at almost 450 speed. This allows his volt switch to usually attack first and let me switch the proper wall in. Like scizors u-turn volt switch is the most important move on this set. It lets me keep the momentum going and allows me to constantly get the favorable match up. Hydro pump does huge amounts of damage, especially in the rain, and wittles down my opponents health. Hp fire is usefull for koing ferro switch ins tht think they can wall me. For some reason they dont see the hp fire coming.... mayb bcuz not to many people use it anymore lol idk.
