[OVERVIEW]

Steel
========

Klefki can serve as a dual screen-setting lead with entry hazard support for Steel teams. However, Steel teams are usually balanced, and Klefki does not bring much defensive utility or longevity to be beneficial long term. It is mostly outclassed by Skarmory as a Spikes setter and Fighting-neutral Pokemon. Skarmory also provides a valuable Ground-immune and potential as a IronPress setup sweeper. On the other hand, Klefki's role compression with dual screens support can be valuable on more offensive teams.

Klefki @ Light Clay
Name: Dual Screens (Steel)
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Spikes
- Foul Play / Thunder Wave

[SET COMMENTS]

Klefki is a niche choice for Steel teams that brings Prankster dual screens and Spikes to the table, allowing it to serve as a lead and support setup sweepers such as Gholdengo and Iron Crown. Foul Play can be used to punish Dragon Dance sweepers such as Gouging Fire and Dragonite while also preventing Klefki from being complete setup fodder to Dark- and Ground-types such as Roaring Moon and Excadrill. Thunder Wave can be used instead to hinder fast threats and special setup sweepers such as Cinderace, Flutter Mane, and Volcarona, aiding sweepers that would otherwise be slower.

Gholdengo is one of Klefki's best teammates, as it blocks Defog from Corviknight and Mandibuzz and Rapid Spin from Great Tusk and Terapagos. This is essential in maintaining the progress Klefki makes. Gholdengo also benefits greatly from dual screen supports, as this eases setting up Nasty Plot on otherwise irritating foes such as Flutter Mane and Alolan Muk. Iron Crown, Excadrill, and Scizor also appreciate the dual screens support from Klefki, which eases setup, while the former can more easily activate Weakness Policy without getting KOed by hits such as Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Shadow Ball and Life Orb Landorus's Earth Power. Klefki cannot check threats such as Gouging Fire, Volcarona, and Landorus, so defensive stalwarts such as Archaludon, Heatran, and Corviknight are essential. In addition, Corviknight can serve as a Bulk Up wincon or as a valuable U-turn pivot for setup sweepers. Klefki cannot prevent entry hazards from being set by setters such as Ting-Lu and Skarmory, so Rapid Spin support from Iron Treads and Excadrill is valuable.

Think this is QC ready? To be honest I’m not for sure if there’s much to add. It’s Klefki, meaning it’s really a hit or miss.

It is mostly outclassed by Skarmory as a Spikes setter and Fighting-type neutrality with Skarmory also providing a crucial Ground Immunity and acting as a possible setup sweeper with Iron Defense Body Press. On the other hand, Klefki’s role compression with screens support can be valuable on more offensive teams.

Foul Play can be used to punish Dragon Dance sweepers such as Gouging Fire and Dragonite while also preventing Klefki from being complete setup fodder to Dark- and Ground-types such as Roaring Moon and Excadrill. Gholdengo is one of the best teammates, as it blocks Defog from Corviknight and Mandibuzz and Rapid Spin from Great Tusk and Terapagos. This is essential in maintaining the progress Klefki makes. Gholdengo also benefits greatly from dual screen supports, as this eases setting up Nasty Plots on otherwise irritating foes such as Iron Valiant and Alolan Muk. Iron Crown and Scizor also appreciate the dual screen support from Klefki that eases setup while the former can more easily activate Weakness Policy without getting KOed (By what threats?). Klefki cannot check threats such as Gouging Fire, Volcarona, and Landorus, so defensive stalwarts such as Archaludon, Heatran, and Corviknight are essential. In addition, Corviknight provides valuable U-turn pivoting for setup sweepers. Klefki cannot prevent opposing entry hazards from being set by setters such as Ting-Lu and Skarmory, so Rapid Spin support from Iron Treads and Excadrill is valuable. Corviknight can also be used to remove entry hazards, but Defog removes the progress Klefki makes too, which is often devastating as Klefki usually only gets one chance to set screens and entry hazards. (While this is good and all true, I feel like if we want Klefki, running Corviknight as a bulk up threat would be preferred since otherwise we could just run Skarmory as that doesn't risk Defog. Keep the U-turn part that is good. Also Mention how Excadrill can also benefit from Screen supports with Mold Breaker Swords dance please.)
1/2, Yeah Klefki be weirdo. Still good stuff.

Also took me like 5 minutes to find the new spoiler thing, this UI was not designed for light mode users at all.
