Ripsaw (Scizor-Mega) (M) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 216 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
- Bug Bite
- Swords Dance
This guy is the ultimate win condition. I was watching The Last Samurai and got the idea to form a team based around Scizor, but I wanted him to be the focus of the team so I thought Mega-Scizor was the better option for the extra bulk. EV’s are to give a good amount of survivability in conjunction with roost. The moves chosen are for STAB and technician bulk and SD is obviously to set-up my sweep. I try to take care of any Charizards, Heatrans or Talonflames before I bring this guy in. Gligar is an excellent pokemon for this guy to set-up on or any Ferrothorns with or without leech seed. There are few pokes that can take this pokemon on after a few Sword Dances.
Royal (Tyranitar) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Roar
This guy has sizable bulk, both physical and special and the sand only increases his Special defense. Rocks are always a nice addition to any team to help turn some 2HKO’s into OHKO’s and really hurt any Charizards which are a major threat to Scizor. I wanted this guy because the sand helps to limit ZardY by removing the sun and the sand also benefits two other pokes on my team: Scizor and Gligar by boosting their special defense. Roar is to force out pokes that set-up substitutes or any set-up sweepers (provided he can survive a hit) Stone Edge and Earthquake are to give decent coverage and giving him some mild offensive presence. EV’s are to give him survivability and lefties for some amount of recovery.
Zuzee (Azumarill) (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Superpower
I love this bulky little fellow. He has access to priority in aqua jet which will always give him a niche. Waterfall is there for a more powerful STAB when I know I can hit something as it switches in, or I just know I can live a hit. Play rough is the obvious second stab with good power for pokes that can eat up the water attacks. Superpower gives this guy powerful coverage. It wrecks Bisharp especially. The EV’s are to give him sizable bulk and great power when mixed with his huge power ability. I picked assault vest because it lets him eat up a good few special attacks without having to worry, it can live a solarbeam from a timid CharizardY if necessary. This guy is mainly around to take care of any fire types that my opponent has to clear the way a Scizor sweep. He really does not like Venasaur.
Stingray (Gliscor) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Substitute
- Protect
- Toxic
The most annoying name in the toxic stall game, he possesses a great defensive stat and high health. Thankfully he can’t be poisoned himself which means he can live a little while. Knock off is to hit things on the switch or anytime I’m behind a sub. Sub and Protect work well in conjunction for some toxic stalling. Toxic is obviously the main way that this poke serves his damage. I picked Gligar because he gets a special Defense boost in the sand; I still wouldn’t leave him in for a special attack unless I absolutely had to. This guy serves as set-up bait though for any steel type boosters such as Scizor or Bisharp so I have to be careful.
Aero (Latios) @ Life Orb

EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Dragon Pulse
- Energy Ball
- Roost
Say hello to my special cannon. Great speed and powerful special attack help to make this guy one of the most potent special attackers around. I picked Psyshock over psychic for the likes of Blissey and any Assault Vest users like Conkeldurr. I used Draco Meteor for a while but I didn’t like getting the attack drop and when I lost a match because of a miss, well that was the last straw so Dragon Pulse it is for great neutral coverage and STAB. Energy ball is to take care of any water types such as Rotom-Wash, Mega Gyrados and most importantly to the team Quagsire since Quag ignores the stat changes of my Scizor. Roost is to help me survive longer and get rid of the residual damage from the sandstorm and Life Orb. Life Orb is to allow me to switch between moves and hit for solid damage. I chose to forego defog because rocks don’t bother my team too much (other than Greninja, only because of its frailty) and I preferred the coverage. 0 attack is to minimize foul play damage which this pokemon really doesn’t like.

- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Say hello the Queen of Diversity. Protean is such a godsend in ability. Unfortunately this girl is frail and not necessarily all that powerful but it gets made up for by all attacks becoming STAB and providing great coverage. Ice Beam is for dragons, Landorous and Gligar. Dark Pulse gives him a chance to flinch and round out coverage with Latios. The EV’s are for HP Fire (0 atk to reduce foul play damage) which I have to round out type coverage on my team as it allows to me to hit steel types and Scizor. I ran surf for a while but the bonus power didn’t make enough of a difference so I went to scald for the burn chance, residual damage and attack drops are useful. Life Orb turns this girl into a little bit of a glass cannon but it is necessary to do some damage.
I'm looking for some suggestions that can help me break into the 1700's with this taeam. I am open to moveset/role changes and even Pokemon changes. Leave a comment please! thank you!
