The Legendary Kanto Trio (a UU RMT)

This is another one of my UU RMTs, but this time it has a theme. I realized that both Blastoise and Venusaur are extremely popular, so I thought that I might as well throw in Charizard as well to complete the trio.

Mismagius (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Trick
- Perish Song
- Mean Look
- Shadow Ball
A very gimmicky lead. The first turn, I always trick, because I have ridiculously high speed. The timid nature, EVs, and Choice Scarf make sure that I outrun any kind of taunt lead. After the pokemon is stuck on using one move, they switch out, and that's when I use perish song. Next turn is mean look, then whatever I want, and then I switch out. It looks great on paper, but its very gimmicky and sometimes it doesnt work.

Blastoise (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/128 Def/130 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Yawn
- Surf
- Ice Beam
The first in the trio is probably the best at its job. Rapid Spin is there to keep Charizard from dying to Stealth Rock and to keep Spikes and Toxic Spikes away from the rest of my pokemon. Yawn forces switches, which is great for countering stat upping sweepers. I decided to give Blastoise a bulky EV spread to make sure it can take any kind of hit. Surf and Ice Beam are just for general attacking, but I'm finding that they don't provide a lot of coverage and that I'm often walled.

Venusaur (M) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Power Whip
- Sleep Powder
- Earthquake
- Synthesis
Probably the most common UU pokemon, this is also one of the most common sets. I put stuff to sleep with Sleep Powder, and then I murder stuff with EQ and Power Whip. I use synthesis when I need healing. I decided to put a Wide Lens on this Venusaur to make sure that Power Whip and Sleep Powder always hit (the accuracy is still shaky, but it's noticeably better)

Charizard___21_of_30__by_Ununununium.jpg

Charizard (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 130 Atk/252 Spd/128 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Flamethrower
- Thunderpunch
- Air Slash
- Brick Break
This is a Mixed Sweeper, as you can probably tell. Flamethrower and Air Slash are my special attacks and my STAB moves, and Thunderpunch and Brick Break are for physical attacking and type coverage. I put a Salac Berry on Charizard because he can actually take a hit. After two or three, his health is pretty low, which activates both the Salac Berry and Blaze. With both of these, I can kill most things with STAB flamethrower, and I almost always go first.

Dugtrio_by_karenc9.png

Dugtrio (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
- Rock Slide
This could be the best revenge killer in UU. Basically, whoever kills my previous pokemon will usually be weakened, so I send in Dugtrio. They're trapped because of Arena Trap, and then I kill them. EQ is for STAB, Sucker Punch is for priority, and everything else is for STAB.

Glalie (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 204 HP/252 Spd/54 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam
- Explosion
I have the rarely seen Glalie. Its main purpose is to set up spikes. It spikes, Shadow Ball and Ice Beams anything that stands in its way, and Explodes on any type of spinner. In this way, it becomes a weird spin blocker. Instead of preventing rapid spin, it kills anything that would threaten the spikes. However, it does need maximum speed to outspeed the spinners.

I'd switch Glalie to your lead and make Mismagius a more dedicated Perish Trapper, if you want to go for that. :0 A better Perish-Trapping set has Protect to stall out turns for PS, and possibly Confuse Ray to decrease the likelihoood of being hit. Taunt might also be good to prevent Roar and stuff.

On Charizard, I'd suggest HP Grass / Electric instead of Thunderpunch, throw more EVs into Sp. Attack, and possibly consider Focus Punch in place of BB, if you can predict the Chansey / Clefable switch-in. Salac Berry isn't such a great option IMO unless you're running Sub, so if I were you I'd switch it to Life Orb and run Naive/Hasty as your nature.

I'm just looking at individual sets; you might want someone more experienced in UU to help you with synergy. Nice theme, maybe you should change it to all Kanto Pokemon to complete the theme. xD Maybe go for Red's lineup or something.

I would also recommend switching Glalie to be your lead. However, there are better Spikers around than Glalie, namely, Omastar. Your team lacks Stealth Rock, which is vital for any offensive team to function. It also gives your sweepers a much easier time. Omastar gives you much better even defenses on both sides of the spectrum, while sporting excellent Special Attack:

Omastar@Leftovers
252 HP, 176 Def, 80 Sp Def
Swift Swim/ Shell Armour
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Surf
- HP Rock/ Ice Beam

You can still use Mismagius as a Perish Trapper if you want, but since this seems to be an offensive team, I'd go for the all-out sweeper set, whose counters are very limited since Dugtrio gets rid of Registeel for you. But that's up to you.

Also, switch Wide Lens on Venusaur to Life Orb. Venusaur really appreciates the power boost, and although Sleep Powder and Power Whip have less-than-perfect accuracy, the increased damage output is completely worth it.

Charizards' set is interesting, but I'd recommend going with a very effective Sunny Beam Petaya set, which allows Charizard to beat its most common switch-in, Milotic, and causes absolute devastation with a Petaya Blaze boosted Fire Blast under the sun. It's a very fun set to use, and I recommend that you try it out. To demonstrate this sets power, a Modest Charizard OHKOs Chansey with 2 layers of Spikes and Stealth Rock:

Charizard@Petaya Berry
252 Sp Atk, 252 Spe, 4 Def
Modest
- Substitute
- Solarbeam
- Fire Blast
- Sunny Day

Nice team, and gl.

Scarfed leads are gonna eat you for dinner if you scarf trickscarf them, in fact my favorite lead would just laugh at you. Just be aware of that, since your trick may not always work out.

I'm in agreement with the others, rearranging and using something else as a lead and making Mismagius something a bit different might work out better for you.

you can change charizards moves so you dont have to split the evs

charizard@ salac berry 252 sp. attack 252 speed 4 hp
rash nature
moves-
flamethrower
focus blast
air slash
Dragon Pulse (because charizard cant learn any sp. electric moves)
