ORAS NU The Monstrosity of Regirock Smashes into the battlefield!

'Sup! It's me, DaRizzle, with my second EVER RMT! I have decided to use what could be one of my favorite NU Legends in the land, REGIROCK! I'm very proud of this team, I wonder what you all think!

MyBodyIsRegi (Regirock) @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide
- Thunder Wave
- Earthquake

regirock.gif

Max SpDef Regirock is amazingly bulky on both sides, as it has enough defense already. Stealth Rock is pretty much needed on every team, and Twave + Rock Slide means you can deal with faster threats. EQ is there to hit shite like Lanturn on the switch in, and you can help weaken them!

Blu-Ray (Mantine) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
- Defog
- Scald
- Toxic
- Air Slash

226.gif

Max defense Mantine with the Calm Nature makes it more bulky overall. Plus, a Regirock/Matine defensive core is incredibly solid, as Mantine can beat what Regirock cannot, and vice versa. This is a pretty standard set, but it doesn't stop it being AWESOME.

Overkill (Sawk) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
539.gif

Sawk hits SO damn hard. Close Combat with the Adamant Band is incredibly powerful, and makes it a very niche wallbreaker. Knock Off is there to smash Ghosts and Psychics who want to switch into a CC, and Mold Breaker EQ is there to hit Weezing, whilst Stone Edge is there to rip Mantine apart. This coverage smashes almost every mon within NU HARD. And if you play your cards well, you can get pretty much a free KO everytime you switch in, or at least weaken their mons massively.

MAAGIC! (Mesprit) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Psyshock
- U-turn
- Healing Wish

481.gif

Mesprit is my scarfer on the team, with U-Turn for momentum, Psyshock for STAB, and to hit Mantine and Lanturn on the physical side, Trick to cripple the bulk of the tier, and Healing Wish to revive members who would be fodder otherwise. Mesprit can also come in on weaker mons and just finish them off.

China Shop (Tauros) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Fire Blast
- Rock Climb
- Zen Headbutt
- Rock Slide

128.gif

SO YELLOW! Tauros has always been one of my favourite mons in NU, because it hits super hard with Sheer Force Rock Climb. Zen Headbutt means you can hit stuff like Weezing, and Rock Slide is there so you can beat Archeops 1V1, assuming you win the speed tie. Fire Blast is there, only to hurt Ferroseed so it doesn't wall the hell out of you, and the high base power + Sheer Force means it kinda makes up for its almighty 40 base SpAtk.

Plantstitute (Lilligant) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Petal Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
549.gif

Lilligant with Petal Dance is a monstrosity. I was pondering on using a Miracle Seed to boost it's power, but after a bit of testing, Lilligant was a victim of all the status, so I figured a Lum Berry would help a little more, especially because LO only really works to its best if you carry Giga Drain. Although you have NOTHING to hit Fire Types, a Plus 2 Petal Dance does a hell of a lot to a Magmortar and a Pyroar, if you are locked in, or if not, you have two Pyroar Counters and two checks to Magmortar, aka your entire core.

So, that was my team, I hope you like it! Here is the Importable so you can play with it yourself:

MyBodyIsRegi (Regirock) @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide
- Thunder Wave
- Earthquake

Blu-Ray (Mantine) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
- Defog
- Scald
- Toxic
- Air Slash

Overkill (Sawk) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

MAAGIC! (Mesprit) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Psyshock
- U-turn
- Healing Wish

China Shop (Tauros) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Fire Blast
- Rock Climb
- Zen Headbutt
- Rock Slide

Plantstitute (Lilligant) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Petal Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]

And rate as harshly as possible, I want to see what's wrong with it so I can make this team as good as possible! ;O

And remember:

Hey bro,
really cool team you have here, I like how utte
rly balanced it is, very few weakness' and mons that can break it, should you play your cards right.
There a couple mons I want to address initially though, which I'm sure provide big trouble for this team.
The first of which is SpD Restalk Malamar. You have nothing which can outright revenge kill it, and can often just lead, settup some superpowers as you may panic and proceed to sweep, your only thing that plays against it is your scarf trick mesprit, which isn't the most reliable Mon in the world. So, I'm going to suggest Mixed Scarf Mesprit w/ Signal Beam > your current set. The only thing you really lose out on here is healing wish, yes, it is extremely useful, and probably worth trying to sneak somewhere on the set but fact of the matter is that you need signal beam on that set to have any chance of dealing with malamar. Signal beam can be used on Mantine as well, but, I've found that signal beam doesn't even 2hko at times and mantine really doesn't like extra pressure on it.

My next proposed change is to nullify your weakness to Mega Audino. Specifically the Crodino set, which literally sets up a few CM, rests, and is unkillable by your team, however, offensive cm 3 set is much more easy to deal with, looking at mantine and others. What I'm going to suggest is Sub Shift Gear Klinklang > Tauros. What this means for you is that you still have this late game cleaner Mon, but, something that actually has a way of setting up / killing mega Audino from the beginning. Because it has steel stab (s.e vs m-audino) and rsists mega Audino main fairy stab, in the crodino set.

Overall though, cool team, I love how Regirock actually walls a lot in the tier at the moment, and you make full use of it in this team well done!
Mesprit @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Psychic
- Signal Beam
- U-Turn
- Thunderbolt / Healing Wish

Klinklang @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Return

best of luck with your future endeavours!

Hey man, cool team but I have a couple of things I wanna address. Your team looks really weak to bulky boosters on paper, Malamar and Mega Audino come to mind. Rest Talk Malamar can easily start boosting on your defensive walls, rest off the damage, sleep talk, repeat and basically sweep you. Your team also struggles with Vileplume cores and stall teams in general because Banded Sawk requires heavy prediction to get past common cores and a choiced wall breaker is really vulnerable to Protect. So I'd recommend Life Orb Mesprit over your Scarf one. Scarf Mesprit can't really handle set up sweepers all that well (for eg. +2 gorebyss outspeeds, +1 Lilligant outspeeds, +2 Barbaracle outspeeds etc) so the main niche is that it can outspeed faster threats like Swellow, Tauros and Sneasel which Regirock hard walls. It also provides you with Signal Beam which can easily 1HKO Malamar. Its coverage is also really good vs common stall teams and healing wish can bring your sweeper back to life.

Next change I'd make is changing your Sawk's ability to from Mold Breaker to Sturdy. Yes you lose the ability to hit weezing with Earthquake but Sawk also happens to learn Zen Headbutt which is an 2HKO on defensive weezing. With Defog support from Mantine you can also revenge kill threats like +2 Barbaracle which swept you previously by setting up on choiced Mesprit/Sawk. Sturdy also means you can check Mega Audino a lot better to land a heavy hit on it.

Also I'm not really sold on Petal Dance Lilligant to be honest. Being locked into Grass move when your team is already annoyed by Ferroseed is not a good idea. Also you don't wanna let thinga like Bouffalant get a free sub because it can wreck your team if you allow that. So keep Lum for Ferroseed but Giga Drain might be an better option. Hope I critiqued you hard enough!

Mesprit @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Signal Beam
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Thunderbolt

Sawk (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt

Hey DaRizzleMyShizzle cool team.

First thing im gonna say is definitely go with the LO mesprit and Klinklang changes. They make the team better. Also go with the sawk suggestion except change it to Adamant because the power difference really is noticeable and it really works well with sturdy.

Now onto the actual rate. There really isnt much to change outside of whats been done so this wont exactly be an extensive rate. I'm gonna suggest that you try Pelipper > Mantine as I dont really see what mantine is doing on this team that pelipper wouldnt do better right now. The 2 strongest fire types just got banned and Pyroar is covered all day by Regirock. AAA Rott looks like the only thing that Mantine is better at checking, but i think that being a little weaker to AAA Rott is ok if youre getting an actual fighting switch-in that doesnt get worn down nearly as fast because of reliable recovery.

Other than that its just minor set adjustments. I'd highly reccomend that you change Lilligant so that it has Giga Drain + Life Orb > Petal Dance + Lum Berry. This is because Petal Dance is not a good move on lilligant solely because of the fact that lilligant appreciates switching up its moves in order to muscle past its counters. If you try and petal dance something and say a Garbodor comes in, you've pretty much lost your lilli. Also the power difference from Lum -> LO is extremely noticeable, especially with Giga Drain. Cool team!
