So, before I start, i would like to say that all the Pokemon on thisteam are in UU or below, but the reason foe me posting this as an OU team is that i use it against OU teams.
A brief preview
Houndoom (F) @ Houndoominite
Ability: Flash Fire / Solar Power
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower
- Sucker Punch
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power Grass / Ice
Houndoom is very strong with very good STAB moves in Fire Blast and Dark Pulse. He can speed tie with Gengar, and outspeed many major threats in the OU meta. Though overlooked, he is a very strong poke with good stats.
Feraligatr (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Torrent
- Ice Punch
- Aqua Jet
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
A very strong late game sweeper. With the Weakness Policy item combined with his good natural bulk, he can turn any match in his favor instantly. Great coverage moves in Ice Punch and Earthquake are very strong towards the OU meta. He can also get a good amount of un-boosted KOs as well.
Chansey (F) @Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
- Toxic
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
This just your standard Chansey set. Use Seismic Toss for reliable damage, while using Toxic for residual damage. Aromatherapy to cure any status conditions like burns or paralysis. Soft-Boiled for recovery. Chansey is one of the best special walls in the metagame, nad can also tank physical hits fairly well.
Zapdos @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
- Volt Switch
- Heat Wave
- Extrasensory
- Defog
Heat Wave and Extrasensory for utility, and Volt Switch for switch initiative. While this team does have a semi volt-turn core, I do not abuse the Volt Switch on every opportunity possible. Zapdos has very solid attacking stats and speed, and if used correctly can prevent any and all switch ins. Also makes for a very good lead.
Darmanitan (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
- U-Turn
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Rock Slide
A very solid lead. With Darmanitan making use of the Choice Scarf and Sheer Force combination, he can hit fast and hard, with almost nothing getting a safe switch in on it. Superpower and Rock Slide for coverage, and Flare Blitz for STAB. U-Turn for more switch initiative.
Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
- Will-O-Wisp
- Clear Smog
- Fire Blast
- Toxic Spikes
Weezing is a physical wall with great mono-poison typing. It can make use of Will-O-Wisp, to burn the opposing offensive threats that generally have never even seen a Weezing besides their Pokemon Fire Red play through. Clear Smog is very useful for stopping opposing set-up attackers because it erases their stat boosts. Fire Blast for coverage on threats like Excadrill, and Toxic Spikes for important residual damage on opposing Pokemon.
Pros to this team
Almost no players who play on the OU playlist have any idea what set these pokes run. (An exception to Zapdos, Chansey, and partially Darmanitan).
Good at getting a great start to the match.
Solid amount of speed.
Cons to this team
Weezing is not a very strong physical wall, but he does resist critical fighting-type attacks. (Someone please find a replacement for him that is suitable and not OU).
Sort of frail
