Hello all, I am new to Smogon but I have been playing pokemon since the release of RBY. Thank you in advance for rating this team.

Please note there is no pokemon in this group that I will not take out under any circumstances so feel free to edit as much as you desire!

IN DEPTH
227.png

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Impish nature
252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
-Brave Bird
-Roost
-Stealth Rock
-Whirlwind

{ I have always been a fan of a starting skarmory. With setting up stealth rock immediately and then having the decision of either trying to kill the opposing pokemon or switch it with whirlwind. Also, roost enabling me to gain back health is very clutch and useful }

473.png

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Calm nature
252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD
-Thunder wave
-Air Slash
-Roost
-Substitute

{ Flinch Togekiss is a clutch pokemon that I fell adds a lot to this team. He helps with constantly making others flinch and taking out any fighting type, grass type, etc. However, recently I have been debating if I should replace substitute with aura sphere }

212.png

Scizor @ Choice band
Ability: Technician
Adamant nature
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
- U-Turn
- Bullet punch
-Super Power
-Pursuit

{ It's a choice band Scizor, what else need be said? A great revenge killer... this pokemon adds a lot to any team and nonetheless to this one }

248.png

Tyranitar @ Choice band
Ability- Sand stream
Adamant nature
164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
-Stone edge
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Earthquake

{ Tyranitar is another pokemon that doesn't need much of an introduction. This choice band tyranitar can hit hard and play its roll in the team, which is very specific, than the others on my team. }

230.png

Kingdra @ Lum Berry
Ability- Sniper
Naughty nature
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon dance
-Waterfall
-Outrage
-Yawn

{ Dragon dance Kingdra is a very powerful hitter. With one dragon dance with an outrage it can take down many pokemon. With two it is almost positive to win most fights. With yawn, it could set up atleast two dragon dances then possibly get an outrage off with out being touched. }

68.png

Machamp @ leftovers
Ability- No guard
Adamant nature
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
-Dynamicpunch
-Stone edge
-Rest
-Sleep talk

{ RestTalker Machamp is a very powerful and versatile pokemon. Able to sleep then use powerful attacks is priceless. This pokemon adds a lot to the team }

Well that is my current team. Please rate my team!

Your Skarmory lead is begging to be taunted by a physically bulky Gliscor. Skarmory can be locked in against a magnet pull Magnezone, and it is bye-bye Skarmory. I recommend a Shed Shell in place of Leftovers. Kingdra's Ability should be changed from Sniper to Swift Swim, as a 2x to 3x multiplier will make not a lot of difference. CM Raikou only needs to obtain one calm mind to sweep through your team with thunderbolt, as you have no electric resists.

You have no fight resist, which isn't the best thing for your team. Because of that, you are luke and ape weak. Gyara seems to be a good fit on this team over kiss. I would personally use a rest talk set because I like durability.

I would also like machamp to run payback over dynamicpunch. Confusing the like of gyara and zapdos is good enough imo, you don't have to hit them for SE. Rotom however completely walls it. It's also easier for you to break stall that way.

Good luck with the team.

SpecsJolt says "ezpz" to your team. STAB Thunderbolt + Outspeed every single thing on your team all day long! SubGar also rapes your team harder than Jolteon, using Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and who cares what the last attack is. Gengar can switch into Machamp's DynamicPunch, while Jolteon can switch into Togekiss' Thunder Wave and proceeds to reap the team. Essentially, anything with Thunderbolt and a STAB (or a Thunderbolt STAB) or a good coverage move and base 95 or higher speed will just pass through your team without worry. This includes Latias, Starmie, Electivire (WOOHOO), Jirachi, Uxie, Azelf, and Zapdos. There are others, but those are from my head. Yea, I would definitely get a Gliscor in this team, as he also fares very well with Tyranitar around. Here's a considerable set:

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Jolly
Sand Veil
252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
~Earthquake
~Roost
~Toxic
~Taunt

Arguably the best stallbreaker in OU thanks to his immunity to Thunder Wave, physcial bulkiness, a fast Taunt, AND an instant recovery. Replace Togekiss or Skarmory with Gliscor. If you replace Skarmory with Gliscor, then Stealth Rock should be in Toxic's slot. However, I think it's more effective to change Skarmory to a better Stealth Rock lead like Metagross or Azelf, and keep this Gliscor set as it is. I suggest you play with this set and also change Tyranitar's set to a DDTar. With Gliscor breaking walls and Scizor scouting with U-Turns, revenging with Bullet Punch, and beating down Starmie and Latias with Pursuit, Tyranitar will get ample time to set up and sweep. Here's the set:

Tyranitar @ Leftovers / Wide Lens
Jolly
Sand Stream
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~Dragon Dance
~Stone Edge
~Crunch
~Fire Punch

A beast this is. Jolly is now a superior option for outrunning most of Tyranitar's checks and KOing them. Stone Edge + Crunch is the incredible dual STAB that made Tyranitar the monster he is today. Fire Punch in the move that rounds the set off, for it allows him to not be walled by Bronzong, Metagross, and others. I also must tell you that is Fire Punch and Stone Edge will have the same base power (Stone Edge neutral and Fire Punch 2x damage (i.e. Skarmory)) then you should always go with Fire Punch for the accuracy. Unless you suspect/know that the opponent yields Heatran, then Stone Edge. Speaking of accuracy, I put Wide Lensas an option to boost Stone Edge. From 80% to 88% is a pretty big help, but the loss of bulkiness seems unappealing. Nonetheless, Wide Lens can save you from missing on key pokemon like Gyarados and Salamence, who horrible threats to Tyranitar. It's your call on that.

Gliscor, Tyranitar, and Scizor work very, very well together as a core. Gliscor's 4x Ice weakness is taken by Scizor. Scizor's 4x Fire weakness is taken by Tyrantiar. And Tyranitar's 4x Fighting weakness is handled by Gliscor. To add on, all 3 of them are immune to sandstorm, and Gliscor can abuse Sandstorm with Sand Veil. Status can prove a bit situational, but can be handled if done right. Toxic to Scizor, Twave to Gliscor, but none of these pokemon can handle a Burn. Luckily, you have a ResTalker to remedy that, and so, you can live your life without much worry.

If yo don't like those two sets, that's fine. But I must stress and possibly beg you to change Togekiss to something else (Jirachi is a good replacement if you really want to keep the ParaFlinch going) and Skarmory with a better STEALTH ROCK LEAD.

I hope you take my suggestions into account and I hope I helped you!

Also:

I would also like machamp to run payback over dynamicpunch. Confusing the like of gyara and zapdos is good enough imo, you don't have to hit them for SE. Rotom however completely walls it. It's also easier for you to break stall that way.

I believe you mean Payback > Stone Edge. Unless you're serious about that lolol.

I don't really think it's necessary to have two Choice Band Pursuit users. Either change Scizor's Pursuit to either Quick Attack or Bug Bite, or use a Dragon Dance Tyranitar with a Babiri Berry. Even if Scizor lacks Pursuit, it can still get your team the advantage with U-Turn.

This team needs Special Attacks. The only thing preventing Skarmory from completely walling this team is Kingdra's Yawn. Another dedicated wall with a healing move can cause trouble. Latias can work, since it has near perfect synergy with the Steel types in your team, except Skarmory is only neutral to Ice, but Latias has excellent Special Defense to try to cover Skarmory's weaker defense. Togekiss isn't really doing anything for you, so you can use Latias over her.

Skarmory should not be a lead, because other leads with Special attacks utterly destroy it, like Azelf, Infernape, Heatran, Gengar, and Aerodactyl's Taunt makes you useless. You'll need another lead with Stealth Rock. Azelf or Infernape can work well, if you need to bring them in later, they can use their high offensive stats since your team needs more of that. Then you can replace Stealth Rock on Skarmory with Spikes. You would then need to replace another one of your Pokemon. Is your Tyranitar Choice Band? Then decide either Scizor or Tyranitar to go, or is it Dragon Dance? Then decide for either Tyranitar or Kingdra to go.

You need to expand your descriptions for Scizor, TTar and Machamp as currently they're not up to rule 3. PM me the fixed descriptions and I'll unlock this.
RMT rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
