Mega Altaria, AKA The Offensive Kid's Pillow
Mega Altaria is a offensive monster, that can sweep teams only at +1. This is one of my favorite teams I have made, so I have decided to share it. In general Mega Altaria is one of my favorite mons, and I have had a lot of fun with this team. While it does have some weakness, a majority of the time I can sweep with my Mega Altaria, Bisharp, or Gengar. This teams relies on Mega Altaria, however it can still function as a solid offensive team without Mega Altaria. This offensive team could be considered a bit slower paced with Rotom-W, and Landorus-T, however this does not take away from the offensive pressure this team can bring on.

THE MOVESETS
Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Return
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Altaria picks up most of the weight on my team. It outspeeds most mons at +1 letting it reliably sweep most teams. Earthquake to check Heatran and most other steel types, Fire Blast checks Scizor, and Ferrothorn. It is also worth noting that I am not running Roost, because of Healing Wish Latias, plus the fact that I don't have a way of checking Ferrothorn or Scizor without Fire Blast. I'm running max speed evs to outspeed the likes of Mega Manecritic or Tornadus-T at +1, as I don't have good switch in for these pokemon. I actually rarely switch out my Mega Altaria, as even if it gets weak, I will still be able to Healing Wish it back up with Latias.
Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
Bisharp acts as a great late game sweeper, meaning that if I D-Dance up with my Altaria early game and die, I will still have options to clean up. Bisharp also has great type synergy with Altaria. Bisharp can switch into Ice, Poison, and Steel types moves while being able to check most Fairy types like Clefable, or Syvleon. Altaria can help Bisharp by being able to check most Fire Types with earthquake, and most Fighting types with Return. I also want to give a honorable mention for Bisharp being the only mon my my team with a form of priority, meaning it can act as a revenge killer or a emergency stop for some sweepers.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Rotom-Wash acts as my special wall, as Landorus-T checks most physical, attackers, I can afford to run max SpD . It checks some too physical attackers like Azumarill which would otherwise just spam superpower, and play rough to hit most of my team. It also can check Excadrill, which is a threat to my Gengar, Bisharp, and Altaria. Rotom-W, also has a lot of resistances, it can resist most Ice types moves that my Altaria, Latias, and Landorus are weak to, and it resists Fire Type Moves and Ground Type moves my Bisharp is weak to, meaning that Rotom-W can get a lot of free switch ins. However, the main reason for Rotom-W is his slow speed, plus volt switch, which allows for my Altaria to switch in freely. Combined with the fact that Rotom-W can switch in safely against many mons, plus a slow Volt Switch, means that Altaria can get more safe switch ins too.
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Def / 20 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
Landorus-T is my only Stealth Rocker, as well as my defensive wall. Even though I do lose quite a bit of momentum with Rotom-W and Landorus-T, they help me form a VoltTurn core, which allows me to switch in my offensive mons freely. Landorus-T also checks threats like Charizard-X at +1, or Talonflame at +2 which would otherwise sweep my team, and some physical mons that Rotom-W can't check with Wil-O-Wisp. In general, Landorus-T has amazing type synergy with Rotom-W, meaning that out of most of the time Landorus-T and Rotom-W, can both check each other's weakness. Even though not super important, I would like to note that Landorus-T's Stealth Rock support does help my offensive mons obtain kills that they otherwise would have not gotten.
Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
Even though Latias is all the way down here at the bottom of the page, it really is the second star of the show. Healing Wish support from Latias is detrimental for the overall survivability of Mega Altaria. It allows Altaria to get a second life, healing Altaria from burns, twave, or just if Altaria is at low health. Latias also provides Defog support, which helps my mons survive longer. As well as this, it hits very hard with Draco Meteor and its typing plus Psyshock allow it to check common OU threats such as Venusaur, or Keldeo, which would otherwise threaten my team. I am also running an EV spread of 252 SpA, 252 Spe, instead of 72 HP, 184 SpA, 252 Spe, because hitting hard is a bigger priority, then living an HP Ice from Thundrus.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast
-Taunt/Substitute
Okay, can we just start off on how good of a mon Gengar is? First, Gengar hits incredibly hard with Life Orb Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb, meaning few pokemon actually want to switch into 2 Shadow Balls, and because of how fast he is, he makes an excellent revenge killer. Gengar can also check bulky Fairy types with Sludge Bomb, or Taunt them preventing them from twaving or burning any of my other teammates, as my team is weak to status. I also use my Gengar when I don't want to switch in my Latias on burns/or resisted hits in fear of a Fairy or Bug type move, as Gengar gets a lot of free switch ins with all of his immunities and resistances. Substitute is also an option instead of Taunt, as Gengar forces a lot of switches. However, a majority of the time I ended up need Taunt, more than Sub, but I think that's just because of how many Stallmons I've encountered on the ladder recently.

Checks and Counters
Status: In general, status cripples a majority of my team. Thunder Wave especially as it cripples 4/6 of my mons.
Ice types: Ice types moves hit 3/6 of my mons super effectively.
