XY OU The Overlooked

I haven't posted here for quite some time, with just getting back from basic training and what not. I threw up a quick post on someone else's team couple of days ago, but here's my first RMT as an active duty US Army Tank Crewman.

"Took a look at your team preview, TERRIBLE" - Pokemon Cypher 2012 G.Yee and Renzy
It's nowhere near as bad as some of you are thinking. First off: the obvious threats. Bisharp is still pretty lethal with his high attack stats. He's almost never going to be my lead, as he lacks lead potential. Keldeo has amazing coverage, so instead of putting on specs or a scarf, I went with my personal favorite expert belt. Zard-Y because he complements Keldeo very nicely. Forretress is nice because I really like forretress' insanely powerful Gyro Ball that shuts down Scolipede setups by giving them false hope. I know that technically Ferrothorn has better stats than forretress, but I like forretress better because I feel more comfortable with him. Obvious stealth rocks, obvious rapid spin, general lead, but not suicidal. Physical bulky Nite to take hits and dish them out, and scarf latias for hazard and status predictions, as well as a little bit of poison coverage.and extra rock removal back up in case I need to sack forretress for a switch.
There's your basic summary. Here come the details:

SEAL (Bisharp) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 140 Def / 116 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch

I've always said I prefer movepool over power, and Expert Belt Bisharp has always come through for me. However, he may be nearing his retirement with the banning of Aegislash. He still makes for a good counter to SubGengar, which I am seeing more of, as long as he has speed over the Gengars Focus ADD Blast. Plus I can just pursuit trap and fake the choice band any ghost he sends and follow up with a surprise Iron Head on any fairy types they decide to switch in.

Ranger (Keldeo) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Calm Mind

Calm Mind allows me to set up on easier mons as well as beef up my SpecDef a bit. The key to this set is the swap between HP Ice and Scald. HP Ice will check and even OHKO a lot of the faster grass and flying types that someone may try to send in against a suspected specced keldeo. But once again, Expert Belt reigns supreme. I can trick someone into believing I am specced to bait out their dragonite or gliscor or whoever else they have, then hit them hard with a surprise HP Ice.
+1 252 SpA Expert Belt Keldeo Hidden Power Ice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 235-278 (72.5 - 85.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Expert Belt Keldeo Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gliscor: 595-701 (168 - 198%) -- guaranteed OHKO

PJ (Charizard-Mega-Y) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA / 100 SpD / 156 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam

Zard Y blends very well with expert belt keldeo (except for drought nerfing scald), giving me lots of chances to get predicted on take down lots of big threats. This is a pretty standard Zard Y, so I don't feel the need to talk much about it. He can also work well with Dragonite as he supplies the team with the special attacking side. His glaring weakness, stealth rocks, can be removed with either a rapid spin from Forretress or a Defog from my Latias, both of which can switch into whatever my opponent feels like using to check or counter Zard. Roost gives me longevity, solar beam for self defense, fire blast and air slash for STAB.

Delta (Forretress) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake

Believe it or not, Forretress is actually the foundation of my team. His decent attack stat allows me to use a move like earthquake and still pose a bit of a threat. His main purpose, however, is as a counter-lead to ScoliSpeed setups. (252+ Atk Forretress Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 240 HP / 92 Def Scolipede: 208-246 (64.7 - 76.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO [with a +2 speed]) He also serves really well as a check to a rising threat, MegaDactyl, by just completely destroying him. Given his mediocre SpecDef and meh typing, I might just drop the 144 Spec Def and put the points into Def and HP. Still experimenting there.

SAS (Dragonite) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Aqua Jet
- Power-Up Punch
- Ice Punch

Expert Belt Bulknite can take some special hits pretty well. The coverage on this set is important as he needs to be able to handle ground and rock as well as gliscors and other dragons. He's multipurpose. Therefore, instead of speed, I put his values into Special Defense for some increased longevity.P Punch allows me to set up dragon claws, aqua jet gives me priority, and ice punch gives me coverage.

JTF2 (Latias) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 88 Def / 252 SpA / 168 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Magic Coat

My typical lead if I don't plan on using forretress. The only reason I really use lati is for magic coat and defog. Psyshock is nice for poisons and Draco Meteor is for some powerful STAB if I need it. I'm still considering on shifting the 252SpA to SpecDef to give her some bulk so she can switch in for Zard Y. Once again, still experimenting.

My teams are always open for suggestions and criticisms, and once again, I do know that Ferrothorn is better stat-wise. But I like my forretress, damnit.
