How many people are getting tired of seeing the same pokes over and over again on every OU team? It's gotten to the point that it becoming almost boring.
Of the 45 OU pokes, how many of them are actually seeing constant equal play? I understand that the tier fluctuates, but there always seems to be a pattern. These were the recent stats from shoddybattle:
June 2008
Bronzong, Garchomp, Deoxys-E, Gengar, and Forretress.
Despite how the metagame varies month to month, these few pokes (you can expect deoxys-E becoming one of them) have always been in or near the top ten. I recently saw the thread "Garchomp and this Metagame" (http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42456), and wasn't surprised at all. It saddens me to see that the driving forces behind the metagame seem to be just a few pokes.
Am I the only one who'd rather pick from BL or UU before choosing any of the aforementioned pokes because they're so regular? Especially Bronzong, Gengar, and Deo-E... I'm sick of them.
Truthfully. I'm really just wondering if anyone else is starting to drift away from the game because of the lack of creativity. Comment away... =/
