Hello all, this team is what I refer to as "the Rape Train" because of how dangerous it is. Also:
Now that we have had our fun, onto serious business.
NOW FOR TEAM GAIS
Toad? (Politoed) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Hypnosis
- Scald
- Perish Song
This here is my dedicated lead, as it gives the team immediate offensive presence and can put something to sleep/burn something while at it. Scald in rain is not only a decent offensive threat, but a killer defensive one too. Damp rock so I dont have to switch as often. 3 statuses are so I can stall, provide sleep, or burn something for setup chances. Easily the 2nd MVP.
The Rape Train (Kabutops) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Stone Edge
Now THIS. Its nickname says it all. This thing is the Rape Train, for good reason. Once it sets up swords dance, it just mows through offensive teams. Waterfall is the main move, rain boosted STAB +2 is R-A-P-E. The life orb's damaging effect doesnt really matter because it kills most teams so quick. Aqua jet is to out-prioritize priority users, seeing as they can be troublesome. Your Talonflame isn't gonna save you from THE RAPE TRAIN, so all hope is lost if your few counters are gone(limited to ferro and chesnaught people).
Wendy (Tornadus) (M) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Rain Dance
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast
- U-turn
This is my main special attacker, setting up utility rain so its hurricane never misses.Focus blast hits ferro, which happens to counter Kabutops. I have U-Turn to get out of undesirable situtations, so I can switch to a better teammate, or in some instances, Kabutops. This thing is dangerous, even if you think Torn-T is better. Because it isn't.
Lewd (Ludicolo) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam
Now here is my special swift swimmer, Ludicolo. It has such great coverage, and even though it has a mediocre base 90 special attack, this is rectified by modest nature and rain. This thing doesnt rip through teams as quickly as kabutops does, but is still capable of ripping teams apart all the same. Just a slower process. I chose all-out attacker because this thing has great coverage. Hydro Pump and giga drain are natural choices, and Ice+Fighting coverage is great. It isn't walled by ferro, and it can get past landorus and dragons. Talonflame CAN save you from ludicolo, unlike Kabutops.
MEGAMAN (Manectric) @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]
The mega of this team. Its moveset is good even in rain because it has killer coverage. Thunder makes this thing a legitimate offenive threat, and it can paralyze something so something else can set up. While flamethrower is an oddity on rain, there simply isnt any other better option, even in rain. Lighting Rod is so this thing can be the engineer of the Rape Train if need be, if Kabutops isnt present to engineer.
snip (Scizor) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 100 Spd / 156 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Now this was mostly filler, but I said why not because it is still good. Set is standard for Scizor, but I run 100 EVs in speed to creep up on defensive heatran. It can also remove the latis, which are a huge pain in the ass to my team. Everything else is normal; EVs,Nature,Moves, down to the ability.

Now that we have had our fun, onto serious business.
So as you can see, this is a rain team! This idea first arose when I wanted to experience Gen 5 again with the new weather mechanics and:the unbanning of drizzleswim. So of course, politoed was first on team. Then, I sought out the most threatening swift swimmers:Kabutops was a given, as that thing is what gave the team its name. Then out of all the special swift swimmers, it was a three way tie between Lord Helix, Kingdra, and Ludicolo. I chose Ludicolo because it cuts down on my Rotom weakness a bit. As for megas, I was choosing between manectric and scizor. I chose manectric as it is a great pivot, and can give my sweepers a free turn to set up. Then I wanted a special attacker, that could provide some utility. I chose Tornadus-I because it has prankster rain and a killer Hurricane. Also has access to u-turn to get out and get a free turn. Last slot went to scizor because slow u-turns=good u-turns.
