Should I place Bisharp on the team again instead of using Scizor?

Hello everyone I've been having some success with this team in the OU Suspect Ladder and I am looking for input. My coil is currently 1578 and I need a little more advice to help raise that to 2700. Thanks in advance.

Bird Jesus (Pidgeot-Mega) @ Pidgeotite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ground]

So the first Pokémon of the team is Mega-Pidgeot. Mega-Pidgeot has a fantastic speed stat with Greninja gone and I wanted to exploit that. Therefore, I'm running a timid nature with max investment to reach the desired speed. Max special attack is to do maximum damage with all my special attacks. Finally 4 defense evs so that I have an odd hp value to minimize stealth rock damage. 100% accurate hurricane is the main reason to use Mega-Pidgeot tearing threw threats like Latios, Keldeo, Mega-Venusaur, Breloom, Conkeldurr, Gengar, Mega-Heracross, Mega-Pinsir, and doing good damage to lots of other threats. Heat wave cleans up steels that wall Mega-Pidgeot like Ferrothorn and Skarmory while also doing good damage to Pokémon that resist hurricane like Mega-Metagross. Being able to outspeed Mega-Metagross and do a large chunk of damage to it with heat wave really helps out my team and reduces pressure on rotom-wash. Roost is for longevity, however it is more of a filler move. There's not a whole lot else to add so if I find out I can live a hit given my 80/80/80 bulk than using roost can be helpful to play around hidden power ice users. It also helps to ensure Mega-Pidgeot sticks around a little longer if I get the opportunity to safely roost against something that can't damage me very much like Ferrothorn. I've opted for hidden power ground over hidden power grass since the damage done to a rotom-wash switching in is pathetic. Of course this means I'm walled by Rotom-Wash but that doesn't really change things. Hidden power ground is a gauranteed knockout on scarf magnezone, who with the timid nature is easily outspeeded. The main reason I run hidden power ground is for Heatran. Once it loses its air balloon hp ground can 2hko heatran. Given prior damage this can be a really good surprise move if you coach your opponent into expecting you to switch out. Most Mega-Pidgeot carry Heat wave and Hurricane since these moves exploit no guard, hidden power ground takes care of a Pokémon that would normally wall you. Heatran also doesn't have reliable recovery so ~52% is a sizable chunk of health to lose and takes several leftover turns to recover from if they have leftovers. Mega-Pidgeot's ability is unfortunately a double edge sword as attacks like Hydro-Pump and Stone Edge also have 100% accuracy which can make fighting threats like Landorus-Therian and Rotom-Wash especially dangerous. I normally bring out Mega-Pidgeot mid to late game after removing opposing Pokémon like Rotom-Wash from play. He can clean up most of the time or remove threats so that other Pokémon can sweep.

Rock Paper (Scizor) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

I picked Scizor because I wanted a powerful priority user that could check threats like Mega-Diancie and Mega-Altaria, while also being able to finish off weakened Pokémon. I'm using a choice band on Scizor because I'm not using Mega-Scizor and I don't think life orb is the optimal item. Adamant nature and max attack evs are used to let Scizor hit as hard as possible. 248 Hp for an odd hp value since I use U-turn a lot and want to minimize stealth rock damage. The other 8 evs are put into spdef. Bullet Punch is the mandatory stab move of choice as it does great damage with the technician ability and choice band. U-turn is used to keep momentum moving in the team and it does a sizable amount of damage to physically defensive slowbro that are expecting bullet punch. Superpower allows Scizor to smack something really hard like Ferrothorn and Skarmory. The last move was chosen for a couple of reasons. Originally Scizor had been a bisharp that was used to threaten defoggers like lati@s. With Pursuit Scizor can survive a draco meteor and kill with pursuit when Latios or Latias switch out. Removing the opposing defogger helps my team keep up offensive pressure. I also chose to use Pursuit over Knock Off since Conkeldurr has knock off and I didn't want to be redundant. Scizor has excellent synergy with Rotom-Wash as the two can continuously abuse switching moves to keep up momentum. This also works with Landorus-Therian too as a way to wear down fragile physical attackers. Scizor's slow U-turn also helps because it allows me to safely bring in other Pokémon and Scizor has decent bulk so it can take a hit when it needs to. Scizor can also take psychic attacks for Conkeldurr and fairy attacks for Conkeldurr and Latios. Bullet Punch also does good damage to rock types like Tyranitar that prevent Mega-Pidgeot from sweeping.

Dracarys (Latios) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock

Since Mega-Pidgeot takes 25% from stealth rocks and really shouldn't take any unnecessary damage I need a defogger. I chose to use Latios because it is one of the fastest defoggers available and has incredible offensive presence without any setup. I'm running the standard max spatk and max speed with a timid nature because it gives latios plenty of speed and spatk to deal great damage before being hit. Defog was also chosen to keep hazards off my side of the field since I use a lot of switching moves and none of those Pokémon have incredibly reliable recovery. Draco Meteor smacks other Pokémon in the face and can normally defeat any Pokémon below 60% that doesn't resist the attack. Psyshock was used to help damage threats like Breloom, Gengar, and Mega-Venusaur. The last move is trick. I chose to trick because it works well with the item I am holding. Once Latios doesn't need the choice scarf anymore to kill stuff, I can cripple walls like Chansey and Porygon 2 that rely a lot on their items. It also is good against unboosted Clefable. Choice scarf also lets me outspeed other scarfers and different Pokémon at +1 like Mega-Charizard X. Choice scarf Latios can surprise people when it outspeed and net a crucial knockout that is keeping me from winning the game. Most of the time since Latios only switches in to use Draco Meteor, the inability to change moves doesn't impact me a lot. Not having to deal with life orb recoil on a Pokémon that frequently switches in is another plus.

Patch Adams (Conkeldurr) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Until Conkeldurr, my team did not have any defensive Pokémon. I needed something that wasn't weak to ice and was also a fantastic special wall. Additionally I needed a way to deal with all the burns Scizor kept having to deal with. I didn't want to use a Pokémon like Chansey either because I wanted my special wall to still be able to deal damage. So, I chose Conkeldurr. I'm running an adamant nature with max attack to allow Conkeldurr to do as much damage as possible with moves like drain punch. 252 spdef and 4 hp round off the special bulk. Since Conkeldurr is my special wall I'm using the assault vest item to maximize my special defense stat. I used drain punch as my primary means of attack since it allows Conkeldurr to have a way to recover some health which is a problem it would have otherwise. Mach Punch allows me to pick off weakened Pokémon before they can heal or retaliate. Knock Off allows me to beat Gengar who can cause a lot of trouble to my team. It also does substantial damage to Pokémon like Mew and Jirachi. Additionally, knock off makes Conkeldurr annoying to fight since it can almost guarantee one Pokémon is going to lose its item. Conkeldurr is also my go to status absorber since he has guts. Conkeldurr is one of my chief answers to the omnipresent Rotom-Wash. He can take hydro pump and volt switch, however the best part is Conkeldurr appreciates will-o-wisp. Since Landorus-Therian has speed investment I can normally safely u-turn out against it and switch into Conkeldurr. Than I can go for a safe knock off on the volt-switch. Adamant guts boosted drain punch also hits like a truck. Finally Ice Punch is used to take care of flying types like Landorus-Therian, Zapdos, and Gliscor and also ground types like Hippowdon. I try to hang on to Conkeldurr for as long as possible since Mach Punch is very useful late game and Conkeldurr is technically my only special wall. If Scizor dies, Fairy types become difficult to deal with since Conkeldurr can't touch Pokémon like Sylveon and Mega-Diancie. Conkeldurr also is a great source of physical damage and together with Scizor can wear down opposing physical walls especially Rotom-Wash which gives Scizor lots of trouble.

Bubbles (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

My team was seriously vulnerable to Bird-Spam, enter Rotom-Wash. 248 hp evs for an odd hp value to minimize stealth rocks damage after switching around with volt-switch. 44 speed allows Rotom-Wash to outspeed 252 jolly Azumarill. The remaining 216 evs are put into defense accompanied by a bold nature to maximize physical bulk. I chose to run closer to max health than closer to max defense. This is because it makes Rotom-Wash bulkier all around rather than just physical defense. While I don't have any spdef investment the additional hp makes up for it. Will-O-Wisp works great in conjunction with Landorus-Therian. Together the two Pokémon can seriously cripple opposing physical attackers. I'm running leftovers and pain split instead of chesto berry + rest, because it gives Rotom-Wash more opportunities to bring up its health and it can also be used offensively as a last ditch measure to weaken something, given Rotom-Wash's low base health. Not only does Rotom-Wash protect me from Bird-Spam, but it also provides a reliable physical wall that is resilient and annoying to other teams since it performs well against an amazingly large portion of the metagame. Rotom-Wash is the only Pokémon with volt-switch on my team, but it allows it to work well with Scizor who resists Rotom-Wash's only weakness or into Landorus-Therian when I want to cripple physical attackers. Leading with Rotom-Wash doesn't have many risks since you can take most hits and volt-switch out of danger. Anything that wants to take a burn doesn't appreciate hydro pump which does a sizable amount to Pokémon like Heatran. Rotom-Wash is very versatile and assists my team as being the go-to Pokémon to take hits for the team. It takes a lot of really good plays and solid predictions from my opponent in order to carefully defeat one Pokémon on my team which gives me opportunities to control the flow of the battle by gaining momentum. However, Rotom-Wash has trouble against Mega Charizard X which Latios can take care of, but I thought I should grab another Pokémon to handle it.

645_landorus_therian_dw-png.29548

Calrissian (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 176 HP / 4 Atk / 216 Def / 112 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- U-turn

I chose Landorus-Therian because I wanted an answer to Mega-Charizard X. I also needed another blanket check to alleviate pressure on Rotom-Wash. So the first thing to explain is the unorthodox ev spread. 112 speed allows me to reach 246 speed. This allows me to U-turn out before getting hit by status from Pokémon that typically have 245 speed such as Mew, Gliscor, and Celebi. It also allows me to outspeed defensive Rotom-Wash and switch to Conkeldurr so that I can do avoid a burn or hydro pump. 216 defense brings my defense stat to 297 which is base 130 with 4 evs (I remember this from when Mega Salamence with adamant ran 4 defense evs) which garuntees I can live an ice shard from Mamoswine when at full health. This would allow me to safely u-turn out afterwards. 176 hp evs instead of 180 to maintain an odd hp value. The remaining 4 evs are put into attack to increase the strength of Landorus-Therian's attack. This set is not intended to get kills. I use it to safely set up stealth rocks, and abuse Intimidate in combination with U-turn. Earthquake and Stone Edge gives me EdgeQuake attack coverage and most of the time takes care of anything Landorus-Therian handles like Mega-Charizard X Landorus-Therian and Rotom-Wash form my physically defensive core. The combination of Intimidate and Will-O-Wisp is my typical means of handling physical attackers. If it is a Mega-Metagross I have to use Rotom-Wash first in order to burn it as opposed to Landorus-Therian since they can avoid Intimidate as regular Metagross with clear body. Leftovers is Landorus-Therian's only means of recovery so I like to use Intimidate and U-turn to mitigate damage. I'm not using a choice scarf set since I already have a choice scarf user, I want to use stealth rocks, and I am using an impish nature. The only reason I'm not running max Health and max Defense is because I wanted to be able to outspeed Rotom-Wash, Mew, Gliscor, etc. Against Bisharp I have to avoid excessively switching in. I can take a +1 Sucker Punch and kill with Earthquake which is fortunate. Adamant Bisharp is also outsped by this set, however Jolly Bisharp is not. With that said, my wall core is a combination of Landorus-Therian and Rotom-Wash to harass physical attackers with their ability to lower their attack stats, and Conkeldurr as an annoyingly durable special wall.

Former Members:

bisharp.jpg

Red Ranger (Bisharp) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Bisharp used to be used instead of Scizor. He provided an incredible offensive presence and was given a jolly nature to keep him fast and allow him to clean up after a swords dance. Bisharp had great synergy with Conkeldurr and Mega-Pidgeot. The three could take hits for each other which worked out rather well. Bisharp's Sucker Punch is missed on the team and its ability to stop Lati@s is also missed. However, after several battles I realize that the biggest threat to the team was Mega Diancie, who after a rock polish could sweep through the team. I added Scizor almost entirely to remedy this at first, and then just adjusted to the ability to have more mobility. While having an answer to Mega Diancie is nice, I'm not sure replacing Bisharp was the best decision.

Threats:

mega-diancie1.jpg

After a Rock Polish this Pokémon absolutely tears through my entire team. It can pretty much OHKO my entire defensive core and outspeeds all my fast Pokémon. If I lose Scizor I have basically 0 answers to it since Magic Bounce prevents me from statusing this monster. Moonblast is also a problem since my physical wall is weak to it.

479Rotom_Wash_Rotom_Dream.png

Rotom-Wash tanks damage from Mega-Pidgeot, Scizor, and Landorus-Therian. Conkeldurr is my best answer to this defensive behemoth since I appreciate the burn, but if I get unlucky Rotom-Wash can greatly damage my team since it is difficult to break through and otherwise requires Latios to safely enter, which can be difficult, and use Draco Meteor.

5616931758_287802b164.jpg

Landorus tears apart my team with sheer force + life orb attacks. It is very difficult to switch into and easily defeats my main special wall (Conkeldurr) with psychic. The main problem with Landorus and other Pokémon, is most of the time my only answer to it is to safely bring in Latios and kill it with a draco meteor.

Thank you everyone for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

cool team just loses to stuff like crocune and bro. Either put unaware clef/quag over rotom so that you have an easier time dealing with that type of thing.

Honestly the Special Defense investment really doesn't work. Assault Vest Conk uses the vest to patch it's Special Defense, but it really doesn't really make it a special wall. HP investment also helps it's physical defense as well. You can creep some special defense investment in as I did above, but general HP investment will serve you better in the long run.

I would also keep using Scizor. While Bisharp wards off Defoggers, Scizor gives the option for momentum, consistant priority, and Pursuit trapping. Superpower also gives it good coverage. Your team also covers Scizor's lone weakness very well, with ways to take down most common Fire types off the top of my head. It also checks Mega Gardevoir, who is otherwise a huge threat to your team.

Good luck with your team!
