As you can see I'm a new user to smogon. I tried making some teams before and was met with some loses and wins, but I realized that they had very little syenergy. After lurking around on the forums I wanted to base a team off of the subperior set. The resulting team is what I believe to be my best yet. I tested it over about 10 games or so and only lost once due to hax but I won in a rematch. Now onto the team.
Obviously if I'm going to base a team off of rhyperior I'm going to need him.
Next I needed someone that will resist water attacks, spread paralysis, and
draw out blissey so rhyperior can set up.
With rhyperior taking a hefty amount from bullet punch, and celebi being 4x weak to u-turn, scizor can be a pest. A rotom appliance helps with that AND he can draw out blissey. Can also deal with gyradoes which is nice.
I wanted a lead that can spread paralysis, deal with some of the common leads, and and was original. I remembered that gyarados can use thunderwave and here I am.
For subperior to function I need sandstorm. Since my team is going to be more offensive that defensive Tyrannitar is going to be used.
At the moment I am using scizor. As my team is rather slow and depends on paralysis for speed, some of the faster sweepers such as salamence are going to be an issue. Scizor helps fix that issue with his ridiculously powerful bullet punch and can pull a sweep off on his own.
Now that my team is done its time for their sets.
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Intimidate
Jolly
100 hp/ 252 atk/ 156 spe
Taunt
Waterfall
Earthquake
Thunderwave
I choose gyarados for my lead for several reasons. Out of everyone in my team he's probably the most effective at leading. Also I believe I can beat most common leads with this set. While my team doesn't really mind rocks its nice to stop them with taunt. This will force them to scratch the hide of this beast while he mauls them with waves of water. Against faster leads I can paralyze them then either switch or attack. For example, Metagross and Bronzong will get taunted then I will switch Rotom into the explosion or whatever attack that does little damage to him. Stuff like infernape and azelf will get paralyzed, then tyrannitar can pursuit the little pixie and gyaradoes can just smack infernape around. Though I have yet to face mamoswine I'm eved to outspd a max speed adamant one so I will taunt and hit him with waterfall. If he isnt running stone edge he won't be able to touch me.
Concerns
I'm not exactly sure why I'm running earthquake though I told myself it was for coverage. Feel free to give me a good reason to replace it with something else. Otherwise I find this set very effective, though Roserade will be a big issue.
Tyrannitar @ Choice Band
Sand Stream
Careful
252 hp/ 40 atk/ 216 spd
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Crunch
Pursuit
Tyrannitar provides the sandstorm Rhyperior thrives in and gives me a good counter to scarftran with the heavy investment in special defense and hp. He can easily kill ghosts and psychics with pursuit, especially when they are paralyzed. Earthquake is put over Aqua Tail since he isnt powerful enough to beat the bulky grounds with it.
Concerns
Tyrannitar is very effectively and I'm very pleased with my choice. A concern is that a powerful sweeper such as lucario can come in after I killed something with pursuit and proceed to set up. I can deal with it using gyarados and rotom for lucario, rotom and celebi for gyradoes, etc.. but its still a concern.
Celebi @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
252 hp/ 220 def/ 36 spe
Thunderwave
Grassknot
Recover
Stealth Rocks
Celebi serves as a wall against bulky waters that like to come in on most of my team. He comes in with relatively no harm to himself and starts spreading paralysis and setting up rocks. One of the reasons celebi has rocks is that no one else can learn/has space for it and every team should benefit from them. He can also lure blissey in so rhyperior can start setting up.
Concerns
None
Rotom-c @ Leftovers
Levitate
Calm
252 hp/ 56 def/ 200 spd
Discharge
Rest
Sleep Talk
Willow-Wisp
Rotom is a vital part of my team, serving has my main scizor counter, gyarados counter, status absorber etc... Discharge is for the paralysis and to hit gyaradoes hard. While my team is focusing around paralysis rotom needs to live for a long long time. By using wisp, tyrannitar is going to have a hard time coming in safely and so will the most over pursuit users. Rotom also serves to lure out blissey for rhyperior to set up on.

Scizor @ Iron Plate
Technican
Adamant
200 hp/ 252 atk/ 56 spe
Bullet Punch
Swords Dance
Superpower
U-turn
Scizor is used to stop fast fragile sweepers that arent paralyzed from ripping my team apart. Some will ask why u-turn with swords dance, and the reason is that u-turn is for scouting the enemy team and to wear down his counters with rocks. I'm using iron plate to feign a choice band but still boost bullet punch to do heavy damage.
Concerns
While Scizor is incredibly effective at doing his job I feel that he isnt fixing my biggest concern which is toxic spikes. As you can see in some of the recent additions to the RMT archive, alot of them are running a roserade lead. Gyarados is incapable of stopping her from getting a layer of toxic spikes or two in which will hamper Rhyperior greatly and limit Tyrannitars lifespan too. Using a rapid spinner in this slot will break the offensive mindset of this team and take too long yet a grounded poison will make a glaring ground weakness.
Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Solid Rock
Adamant
132 hp/ 192 atk/ 168 spe/ 16 spd
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Subsitute
Swords Dance
The might subperior. As both of my main walls are supposed to attract blissey, rhyperior comes in and starts setting up. With a subsitute he will slap whoever comes in with one of his stabbed attacks doing massive damage. Each time he successfully gets behind a sub usually means a dead poke. If blissey or whoever hes setting up on dares not to switch, they will find the sub intact and rhyperior suddenly doubling his attack with swords dance. This will mean a dead blissey+something else. He's so bulky that he will often survive powerful hits like a +2 aura sphere from togekiss or a hp grass from zapdos and proceed to knock them out.
Concerns
None
Well I'm getting sleepy around now so time to wrap up. Use this team a few times and give me some feed back. Preferably give me an innovative idea that i havent thought of on how to fix some of my issues.
