The RoseMent Spikes, OU RMT.

Hi hi ^^

I'm posting a really good team in my opinion, based on Torment Tran and other things that can help him doing his job like a Beast =)
It's a semi stall/semi sweep team, I don't like both full stall and full sweep, so I've chosen to build a Mixed one.

Team at a glance :

Team in depht :

410.png

Roserade @ focus sash
Ability : Natural Cure
Evs : 252 Speed, 252 sp.Atk, 4HP
Nature :Timid (+Speed, -Atk)
-Sleep powder
-Toxik spikes
-HP ice
-Leaf storm

>> One of the best lead in my opinion. I choose HP ice over HP Fire because of the IV31 speed, and no other pokémon in my team got Ice moves... And really usefull against Dragonite Lead. Don't need to explain a lot, all of us know how this thing works <3 As i didn't combined it with swampert, I've to switch on Hippo sometimes which set up the SS... But it's not the main problem of this team ^^

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability : Sand stream
Evs : 252 HP, 178 Def, 80 Sp.def
Nature : Bold (+Def, -Sp.atk)
-Earthquake
-Roar
-Stealth Rock
-Slack off

>> A beast :) A really good stall, who set up SandStorm and SR... Roar is such an usefull move, with Toxik spikes + Stealth Rock it's just amazing... And it can save me when cursers like snorlax, Ttar are seting up. Slack Off when an opponent is sweeping you and consuming by Poison/sand/LO and others...

130.png

Gyarados @ leftovers
Ability : Intimidate
Evs : 148 HP, 80 Atk, 88 Def, 176 Speed, 16 Sp.def
Nature : Adamant (+Atk, - Sp.atk)
-Dragon Dance
-Taunt
-Waterfall
-Stone edge

>> The classic bulky DDgyara, anough speed to outspeed starmie with 1 Dragon Dance.
He's very important to this team with intimidate and water/flying type. Choosing between the bulky DD taunter and the restalk set was very difficult, but I want it to sweep and taunt so... I think it was the best choice for this team =) If the opponent Lead with a slow spiker like laggron, this gyara take 25% SR very rarely because of my roserade ^^ The secound best counter of Scizor in my opinion (Zapdos is just the best).

Poke479%28Platino%29%28N%29%28oven%29%282%29.png

Rotom-H @ Light Clay
Ability : Levitate
Evs : 252 HP, 128 Def, 120 Sp.def, 8 Speed
Nature : Bold (+Def, -Atk)
-Thunderbolt
-Will o Wisp
-Reflect
-Light screen

>> My anti-spinner, and dual screener. Very usefull pokemon and set, light screen is very important to take hits from LO starmie, and Wow help me against Steel type or flying type that are not poisoned by the toxik spikes.
The best anti-spinner of the game, even without a restalk set.

212.png

Scizor @ Life orb
Ability : Technician
Evs : 252 Atk, 224 Speed, 32 HP
Nature : Adamant (+Atk, - Sp.atk)
-Swords dance
-Bullet punch
-Superpower
-Bug bite

>> Top1 of the OU metagame since Platinum, Scizor the beast is in da place ^^ I've chosen the SD set because I hate spam the CBzor, and with Dual screen + Spikes, the Swords Dancer is just a beast in my team... It help me against things like latias, and starmie if the Light screen is on. Gyara and Zapdos rarely stop it in late game, with all status/entry hazard that we found in my team ^^ Don't need to explain more, this thing is just the number one, and we know why.

490.png

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability : Flash fire
Evs : 220 Speed, 244 HP, 32 Sp.atk, 12 Sp.def
Nature : Calm (+Sp.def, -Atk)
-Substitue
-Torment
-Protect
-Lava plume

>>The MVP of this team <3 Torment tran is just the most difficult pokémon to KO in the game when played correctely, and with Sandstorm/Stealth Rock/Toxik Spikes/Wow (Rotom) + Dual screen and 30% Burn rate of Lava plume... this thing is just amazing. The main problem of this set are pokemon like Rest Gyara/Swampert/Cune and... Calm mind Latias. I can't do anything against latias, and when she is carrying HP Fire, it's very difficult to deal with because it pwns my scizor easily (Light screen is usefull against, but very difficult to take down CM tias + HP fire or Surf...)

-------------------------------Kame-----------------------------------

Big threats to this team >> LO STARMIE + CM LATIAS Recover & Crocune sometimes.
Really difficult to deal with this 2 poks, they're the biggest (only ?) threats to this team that i've encounter =/
Thanks for your answers, Enjoy and Test my Team, RDT FTW =D

Well, the team looks really good. Can I Suggest a Careful Bulky tyranitar with pursuit.
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
252HP/124Attack/132sp.def
Pursuit/StoneEdge/Rest/Sleeptalk
This moveset can deal with the threats you were talking about and as I see no wishpasser you may want recovery. You can change around the moves although this thing can live LO Starmie surfs and I Believe it barely gets a 3hko. Deals with CM Latias easily. +1 Surf is pretty much even less than starmie's. I don't know if you'd take this on board as your team is very good already. Perhaps use it in place of scizor?
Nice team, I Don't have the skill or knowledge of some of the better raters here but I Just thought i'd try to help out.

I think Choice Band Scizor and RestTalk Gyara support Heatran better than the sets you're currently user, which are more geared for sweeping in their own right. RestTalk Gyara gives you a solid status absorber, something your team currently lacks, without losing too much in the way of sweeping potential (You can run Waterfall, Rest, Sleep Talk, and then Dragon Dance or Roar).

Choice Band Scizor with a specially bulky set is good for countering Latias and Starmie with both +1 U-Turns to soften them (and the rest of the team) up as well as maintaining your momentum in the early game with switch scouting, and Pursuit once they've taken damage to trap them.

One change you might want to think about is replacing Roserade with Forretress and bringing Hippowdon to the lead position. Focus Sash leads don't pair well with Sandstorm, but you really want Toxic Spikes to help deal with some of Tormentran's counters, Bulky Waters specifically. Forretress also lures Fire attacks really well, which allows you to switch in Heatran for the free boost and the opportunity to set up.

If you do go for this, I'd run Shed Shell/Leftovers, and a moveset of Payback, Rapid Spin, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes/Explosion.

Other than that, a good team.

GangsterPikachu >> I thought about Ttar, but I don't want to remove Scizor because of his priority move and fire attract... And i can't remove other poks for a Ttar :/ Anyway thanks for the idea ;p

MrIndigo >> Yeah restalk gyara can help me taking sleep powder and spore, but for wow/toxik/twave i got heatran, scizor, and hippow that can absorb status (and roserade with his ability). And with this set, I lack taunt which is really helpfull in this team isn't it ? But I'll try gyara restalk in order to see if he can do a better job than the bulky DD =)
For CBzor, I'm trying it with a solid repartition (HP & Sp.def), but it's less flexible so maybe I should try a bulky SD set ^^
Foretress over roserade might be great but roserade is very important cause he can put a threat to sleep, sweep and pwns beast like swampert... And the team turn into a stall one with fore... Anyway I know that foretress is a great choice with torment tran, as we can see in philip7086's team. Anyway I'll try it, & thanks for your suggestions ^_^

There is a particular spread that people use for a Specially Defensive CB Scizor, but i can't remember what it is off the top of my head. I know it's not Max-Max, though.

In any case, the Swords Dance set has a particular role, and it's not something that works as well for your team, I feel. Choice Band Scizor fills in the particular roles of trapping/killing Latias, softening up the team and scouting for Heatran, and revenge killing Dragons. I would say the CB set is not the negotiable change; the Gyarados one is.

You're right, I really need to trapp Latias & Starmie with a CBzor... I just need to find a spread that can take Hydropump from LO starmie (considering 1 or 2 SR's damage), and maybe HP fire from Latias if it's possible ^^ But the SD set was really helpfull sometimes... Idk :/

Hello

First of all I want you to consider Stone Edge over Roar on Hippowdon so that DD-Gyarados with Taunt couldn't set up on you.

To cover your weakness to LO Starmie and CM Latias you could make Scizor banded. Although he is "predictable" he still counters these with ease (only not if Starmie has Hydro Pump or Latias has HP fire).

Otherwise you could do like GangsterPikachu suggested and go with a Special Bulky Tyranitar. Only with Stealth Rock instead of Sleep Talk and as a replacement for Hippowdon.

Hope this helped!
