THE SEXY SIX (My OU Team)

Hi guys, so I've toyed with the idea of making teams in the past, but I never really made one that I ended up liking. I always resorted to using the "popular" Pokemon like Scizor or Garchomp. This time around, I'm making a team using solely my favorite Pokemon, as I believe that someone who battles with Pokemon they like has an edge over someone who battles with Pokemon they hate. I'm also going for movesets and Pokemon/Item combinations that are relatively unused, so as to throw my opponents off guard. So, without further adieu, I bring to you...THE SEXY SIX.

Greninja @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Protean
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Toxic
-U-Turn
-Scald
-Night Slash

The leader of the sexy six. He's tall, dark, and mysterious...what's not to love? Frogadier, who've I've always seen as a mixed attacker, I'm going to be using more as a physical attacker. Toxic is there to set up and poison my opponent's lead right from the get-go. After that we've got a variety of options. We can Night Slash to get some more damage in, Scald to get a burn if the opponent switches, or U-Turn if I just need to nope the heck out of there. The EV Spread is pretty standard. Maxed out speed and attack, with another 4 EVs put in to HP to make Rocky Helmet just *that* much more annoying (Since Rocky Helmet dishes out 1/6 of the holder's HP in damage when hit with a physical move).

Dragonite @ Wide Lens
Ability: Multiscale
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Dragon Rush
-Hurricane
-Rock Slide
-Roost

Our next member of the sexy six is the dopey but loveable Dragonite! Dragonite is sporting a Wide Lens, this gives her a nice boost in accuracy, meaning I get to use those high-damaging moves that (usually) have a fairly low accuracy, like Dragon Rush and Hurricane; as opposed to something like Dragon Tail and Fly or Aerial Ace. Rock Slide is to take down those not-nearly-as-sexy Charizard and Talonflames that everyone seems to be using. Roost may not seem like the most obvious choice. Some might say that Dragon Dance would be a better option, given that Dragon Dance would give a nice stat boost that Dragonite could use; but I'm still going with Roost. With Dragonite's ability, she will take 50% less damage when at full health! This gives Dragonite longevity, something that (to me) is worth more than all-out attacking power.

Gardevoire @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Synchronize (Mega Ability: Pixilate)
252 SpAtk/252 SpDef/4 Spe
-Wish
-Hyperbeam
-Calm Mind
-Light Screen

Continuing with the theme of "longevity", we've got Gardevoire! Maybe not the first choice for people when choosing they're mega-Pokemon, but that's the whole idea! Gardevoire here is mostly based around helping the team. First it'll drop Calm Mind followed by Light Screen to keep it on the field. Then it can use Wish to heal up next turn OR it can use Wish, switch out into a damaged Pokemon and have THAT one heal up. A bit risky, but no one will be expecting it. What will be even less expected will be the Hyperbeam! Which, being a normal type, will activate Mega Gardevoir's mega ability, changing it into a Fairy-type move, making it Stab and absolutely devastating to Dragon-types. What's that Garchomp? You think you're going to sweep my Gardevoire? KA-BEWM!

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 220 HP/220 Def/64 SpDef
Careful Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Foul Play

This goal here is to be annoying. Klefki comes in, uses Light Screen, Reflect, Thunder Wave, then Foul Play. Opponent is paralyzed, won't be able to hit very often, and when it CAN hit it'll have the screens to deal with. Klefki could paralyze the faster Pokemon for Gardevoire (or any Pokemon really) to deal with, too. Foul Play is going to be really good to use on those glass-cannon, high-attack Pokemon. Klefki may be weak on its own, but can prove fairly nasty when combined with the rest of my team.

Ursaring @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Facade
-Crunch
-Protect
-Earthquake

This Pokemon has a bit more of an obvious set up. Protect is used here to, well, protect it, on its first turn when the flame orb won't be in effect. After that Ursaring can do what bears do best: tear the opponent to pieces. Facade is an obvious choice for guts/orb users. Guts ups attack, Facade doubles attack, plus it's STAB; it'd be dumb NOT to use it. Crunch is to counter any pesky ghost types. Earthquake is here just because it's a nice, solid physical move. Plus it's good on steel types (I'm looking at you, Mega Lucario).

And finally...last on the list...you probably all already know what Pokemon I'm choosing, right? It's obviously...

Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
96 HP/252 SpA/160 Spe
Timid Nature
-Tri-Attack
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Nasty Plot

Porygon-Z, obviously. Now we've got a nice bolt-beam combo going on here, providing good type coverage against Flying and Water types. Tri-Attack is there just as a nice, strong, STAB move, and Nasty Plot is there to make all of those moves stronger. Some may want something in there for Ghost types, but Porygon being a Normal type, I'm not going to worry about it. Adaptability will make Tri-Attack hurt like a mother hubbard when combined with Life Orb.

So there you have it. The Sexy Six. What do you guys think? Some of the move choices were pretty hard to make but I think I've got it right.

Probably the best team in existence atm. Toxic Frogadier will definitely transform the metagame.
Are you serious or being sarcastic? This is literally the first serious team I've made and actually put thought in to. I haven't tested it out too much so I figured it'd suck.

Um, did you mean Greninja? Or are you actually running Frogadier instead?

Theres a lot of flaws with this team but I don't have a lot of time so I am just going to point out the most major one : Hyper Beam. While I see why it seems tempting, when combined with M-Gardevoirs great SpA and Pixilate, you're honestly just ASKING to be set up fodder at that point. I would HEAVILY auggest using Hyper Voice instead. It still packs a hell of a punch, not to mention the ability to hit through subs.

Oh my lord this team has flaws. Anyhow first and foremost as aPandaCub said get the hell rid of hyper beam on Gardevoir and replace with any viable move such as hyper voice. Next what is up with your Greninja? It's breaking the laws of what a Greninja is. Why that moveset? why rocky helmet? WHY 256 EV'S ON A STAT?!?! (I'm no longer talking about Greninja) Like I'm serious have you even tested this team? Why would you give Dnite full power in attack and make on of his main stabs a SPECIAL MOVE? Flame orb on Ursaring isn't the best idea as Facade is the only move you get a damage boost with try Toxic orb instead. Also try your team here http://pokemonshowdown.com/ so that you can see the amount of flaws it has.

As much as I want to be kind, that Dragonite set is about as viable as an Eviolite Slowbro, which i have actually seen a person run. Its a cute custom set, but as someone pointed out, having a SpA move with no SpA investment makes no set. If you still insist on playing with a not so standard Dragonite Set, I would suggest the Normal Gem ExtremeSpeed set, which does catch Mamoswine and Weavile, two of its biggest checks.
