Now, this is a team I truly had fun making. It basically focuses on picking up a few cheerfully colored pokemon (pink, blue, yellow, you know the drill) and putting them into some form of reasonable team. I'll let you yourself decide how good it is.
Aura (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP/100 Def/20 SAtk/150 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roar
Of course any team that's called the shine squad is going to have an electric pokemon, and this one leads off with Zapdos! This is a very bulky electric pokemon, one that just stops so much it's almost on every single one of my teams. EVs are for equal defenses, standard set. Although Zapdos can take plenty of punishment from unboosted attacks, boosted ones are an annoyance. Roar fixes that up quite simply. Failsafe plan for stuff like Curselax, Raikou, Bellyzard.
---
Shine (Lickilicky) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 224 HP/38 Atk/72 Def/176 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Curse
- Explosion
What a cheerful guy you are! Happy, to say the least! What's this? Why are you cursing at me? Whipping me? Steel balls?! Ouch ouch *boooom*. That over dramatization just describes my entire set. It basically is a ridiculous pokemon to take out after a curse, and can really dent non-steel types. After a Curse, Gyro Ball is powered up even more, KOing most fast threats. Power Whip is mainly for bulky grounds. Explosion is if I get bored of whatever steel comes in to wall me.
---
Serenity (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 HP/14 Atk/100 Def/154 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Zen Headbutt
- Body Slam
- Wish
A very "bright" pokemon, this little one is the definition of "utility". It sets up rocks to ruin focus sashes, paralyzes, flinches and at the end provides wish support. Nothing is more useful than this pokemon! It also walls and stops Dragons and CBNormals.
---
Spring (Heracross) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
EVs: 154 HP/252 Atk/104 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
This pokemon is a nice blue and cheerful color, and it gets even happier after it OHKOs the enemy team. After Jirachi gives out some paralysis, this just cleans up the scraps and has a very fun time doing so. Guts activation gives me enough Attack to leave nothing alive after two hits, scary indeed. It's got a decent range of switch ins as well.
---
Aqua (Milotic) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 148 HP/228 Def/132 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
This pokemon defines shine, and the image just shows that. It's a wonderful wall that serves as a counter to most of the offensive metagame with its stats. I opted for HP Electric over Hypnosis, because I have some Para running around and I am not a fan of Gyarados sweeps. If necessary, she can clean up some teams with no recovery, but I have other pokemon for that!
---
Sinistre (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
---
Everything has a dark side, even a bright team such as this. Life Orb Gengar is a demon, hehe. It has three great immunities, has the speed necessary to beat Garchomp and Infernape (And if your team doesn't have that sort of speed, you'd better be VERY careful), and to top it off can defeat Blissey. It's evil yes, but so is a part of everything. It's also a sort of failsafe if Jirachi doesn't manage to paralyze enough things to make Heracross a definite possibility. And yes, that's a Pacman ghost.
So there's the team! Tell me what you like or you don't not like!
