Hello, fellow smogoners! It's me, Don Honchkrorleone, also known as Don and Rolando Lero in PO. After lots of attempts of creating a great team, this one is so far my best, that helped to peak top 100. And it's entire based on two legends: Keldeo and the comic actor Ramón Valdés (1923 - 1988). If you live in Latin America, you'll know this legend. Well, shall we start?
At a first glance, we have the heroes:
If you want to read, below is a brief story of the building of this team.
Now, the time has come. Ladies and gentlemen, team " The six faces of Valdés"!
In details:
Alma Negra (Thundurus [M]) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
Evs: 32 Atk / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
Naïve nature (+ Spe; - SpD)
Ivs: 30 Spe
- Taunt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice
- Hammer Arm
Why Thundurus?
The existence of leads in today's metagame is rather questionable, but some Pokemon seem to have born to be one. Thundurus is usually my lead, and he's a humdinger of a good lead. Mixed + Taunt Thundurus is a beast that everybody should be aware of. Taunt that annoying Baton Passers , Prankster and field condition leads is priceless. Better that this only maybe Taunting Chansey (Seismic Toss is annoying, though). Volt Switch is a key move to maintain the mommentum, and fucks Shell Smash leads. It's better than Thunderbolt because scouting is better than ready damage, and Volt Switch is powerful. Hidden Power Ice grants coverage, and a good one: the legendary BoltBeam. More things resist to this combo nowadays, but it's still useful to take out Gliscor, some Hippowdon, non-scarfed Dragon-types, Breloom, weakened Virizion, and many other threats. Hammer Arm is an annoying surprise to most Pokemon, generally Normal-types special sponges, that try to come into Thundurus expecting a Thunderbolt (or Volt Switch). How many Blisseys, Chanseys, Snorlaxes, Porygon2 and even some Steels such as Ferrothorn and Lucario have been taken down by a surprise Hammer Arm. Thundurus IS that good.
Possible changes
Someone might say that Zapdos is better, but the lack of Tanunt and the previsibility based on the Ability, and the fact that it lasts more turns to beat Blissey than Thundurus. There's also the Thunderbolt X Volt Switch question.
Synergy:
Rock: Ferrothorn, Keldeo
Ice: Heatran, Keldeo
Peterete (Zoroark [M]) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Illusion
Evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest nature (+ SpA; - Atk)
- Night Daze
- Focus Blast
- Flamethrower
- U-Turn
Why Zoroark?
The high usage of Fighting-type Pokemon forces people into using Psychic Pokemon, and very dangerous ones like Reuniclus, Lati@s, Espeon and even Alakazam. Keldeo is part-Fighting, ergo he's weak to Psychic. This is for what Zoroark is for, to destroy the Psychics (as well as the Ghosts) that my team has trouble of dealing with. My dear revenge killer. Choice Scarf turns him into a fine and surprise revenge killer, because most people expect him to be a Nasty Plot or an all-out attacker version, and sometimes they don't even expect him to be Zoroark. Night Daze and its great 40% chance of reducing the foe's accuracy is very, very useful, sometmes making worth of that not perfect 95 accuracy. Focus Miss and Flamethrower are for coverage and U-Turn is for scouting. He might be frail, but his Special Attack can make up for that.
Possible changes
I've been considering a lot of other moves to replace U-Turn. I'm currently testing out Extrasensory to deal with Fighting-types. I'm also thinking of replacing him for something faster and stronger, but with the same free switch-in agaisnt Psychic Pokemon.
Synergy:
Bug: Thundurus, Heatran, Keldeo, Gliscor
Fighting: Thundurus, Gliscor
Super Sam (Heatran [M]) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid nature (+ Spe; - Atk)
Ivs: 30 SpA
- Taunt
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power Electric
Why Heatran?
This Heatran is strange. Very, very strange. My FWG Fire part, and my best answer to Serperior, Breloom and other Grass Pokemon. But his set is too strange. To start with its strangeness, Taunt on an offensive set. Is it useful? More than sliced bread. Stops the switches from Waters that only have one offensive move cold. It's also useful against Blissey and alike. Fire Blast is powerful, and Eath Power gets coverge. Then it comes... Hidden Power Electric. You may be thinking "Why the heck don't Don put Dragon Puse or something else that isn't Hidden Power Electric on Heatran?" Simple: Heatran tends to attract lots of Water Pokemon, which most of them can be beat by HP Electric after one or two teps on SR. Gyarados and Slowbo are two Pokemon that commonly switch into Heatran thinking they'll have an easy time, and them, ZAP! They get destroyed by Hidden Power Electric. I know that I don't have any attack that isn't NVE against Lati@s, Hydreigon and others, but a Flash Fire-boosted Fire Blast, especially if there's sun, hurts the Dragons a lot.
Possible changes
Barring Earth Power and Fire Blast, I think changes are needed. For those who think I always used HP Electric on Heatran, I've tested him with some other moves, most notably Dark Pulse and Dragon Pulse. Heck, even Flash Cannon worked. I also think that a more defensive set would be better, but that's only me. Flamethrower X Fire Blast is also an issue.
Synergy:
Ground: Thundurus, Gliscor
Fighting: Thundurus, Gliscor
Water: Ferrothorn, Keldeo
Rascabuches (Ferrothorn [M]) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Iron Barbs
Evs: 244 HP / 88 Def / 176 SpD
Sassy nature (+ Spd; - Def)
Ivs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
Why Ferrothorn?
Everybody hates Ferrothorn, but everybody also loves him. Ferrothorn's purposes in this team are various: from giving a Flash Fire boost for Heatran to sponge almost all attacks aimed at everything bar Heatran. Ahhh, Ferrothorn... I run a double attack, specially defensive one. In the past, it used to run Gravity instead of Gyro Ball, and Leech Seed instead of Thunder Wave. Running Thunder Wave is useful to help Keldeo, as well as cripple fast foes suh as Latios, Gyarados, Haxorus and Tornadus. Most choice-lockeds are defeat by Ferrothorn. Most rain abusers are dealt by Ferrothorn. Most bulky Waters are destroyed by Ferrothorn... He's truly my second MVP, being Keldeo my first.
Possible changes
Shed Shell is an escape button, and every move on his set has its uses... but he lacks a way of recovering his HP, which is pretty bad considering he's supposed to be a wall. Shed Shell is also a flaming food for Heatran coming for Fire moves from Chandelure and Magnezone. I need some suggestions here.
Synergy
Fire: Heatran, Keldeo
Fighting: Thundurus, Gliscor
Tripaseca (Gliscor [M]) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Evs: 160 Atk / 252 Def / 96 SpD
Impish nature (+ Def ; - SpA)
- Earthquake
- Fling
- Acrobatics
- Ice Fang
Why Gliscor?
My team is very weak to Fighting. Fighting is everywere. Thundurus isn't very durable, so I needed something else to take powerful Fighting-types. Then I came across this thing here. The strangest Pokemon of this team, strangest even than Heatran. Let's start with his Ev spread: 160 Atk / 252 Def / 96 SpD. Is Don Honchkrorleone getting mad? Probably, but this is a very effective spread. I don't need much of Speed since most things will be paralyzed by Ferrothorn, but the Attack... Now his movepool. All-out attacker Gliscor!? Don is insane! But it's good. No Protect to activate Toxic Orb because 90% of the times Gliscor enters on the field from Volt Switch or U-Turn. AcroFling with a special move: Ice Fang, that helps against Dragons, opposing Gliscor and Landorus. Weird yes, but very effective.
Possible changes
To be true, I like this Gliscor the way it is, but if something can change on Gliscor to better him, it's worth.
Synergy:
Water: Ferrothorn, Keldeo
Ice: Heatran, Keldeo
Don Ramón (Keldeo) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
Evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid nature (+ Spe ; - Atk)
Ivs: 30 Def / 30 SpD
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Sacred Sword
- Hidden Power Ghost
Why Keldeo?
Keldeo is my MVP, the single reason that I opted for making this RMT, play Dream World, and the only Pokemon bar Arceus worth to be nicknamed "Don Ramón". 129 Special Attack, 108 Speed, decent 91/90/90 defenses, and a move to scare Blissey and Chasey, this thing is just awesome. My sole sweeper. Hydro Pump is a leftover from my Gravity team, and although it misses most of the time, its sheer power is the reason I picked it over Scald and Surf. Hidden Power Ghost, yet it lowers Keldeo's defenses, hits Toxicroak, and hits quite hard if boosted. Not to mention that Reuniclus, Jellicent, Gengar, Dusclops and others hate it. Keldeo is a darn bastard that needs to be released with urgency because I need it on my Wi-Fi team.
Possible changes
A lust for power makes me use Hydro Pump. but I'm trying Surf these days. The lack of power is significant, very significant, but it hits all times (bar that annoying Sand Veil Garchomps). Another type of Hidden Power is also something I've been thinking about.
Synergy:
Grass: Thundurus, Heatran, Ferrothorn
Electric: Ferrothorn, Gliscor
Psychic: Zoroark, Heatran, Ferrothorn
Flying: Thundurus, Heatran

Thanks for reading! Any suggestion, comment, or where to see a video of Ramón Valdés acting? Post here, as they'll be well recieved.
At a first glance, we have the heroes:

If you want to read, below is a brief story of the building of this team.
Team building process
Keldeo is almost-perfect. 108 base Speed, 129 Special Attack with Calm Mind, Hydro Pump for insane damage, Sacred Sword to destroy Blissey and some Ferrothorn, can run HP Ghost to deal with Lati@s and Jellicent... It just needs the right support.
And the right support comes in the shape of the most hated, yet loved Pokemon in the current metagame: Ferrothorn. Able to set up Stealth Rock to help Keldeo score some KOs and Thunder Wave to cripple several threats. Covering up Keldeo's Psychic, Grass and Electric weakness was a bonus.
Since I was going to use a Water and a Grass, why not add a Fire-type to make a FWG core? I've tested quite lots of Fire Pokemon, from Darmanitan to Charizard to Heatmor, and then, even though I was afraid of putting another Steel-type to my team (since Fighting is so common), Heatran showed up. He is just awesome, and has great synergy with both Ferrothorn and Keldeo. An weird one, you'll see.
Uh-oh, we have a problem... A screaming weakness to Fighting when Terrakion, Conkeldurr and the rest are in almost any team. Ground was also a worry since this team could be easily destroyed by Excadrill and other powerful EQ user. It was on that time that I thought on Rotom-S (couldn't find the moving sprite). Not only it could use Will-O-Wisp to cripple non-Guts physical sweepers, but also had Air Slash to the bane of most Fightings.
Fighting-types tends to carry Stone Edge to help deal with Flyings. Then I realized that I needed a very thick defensive wall that could counter Fighting-type Pokemon. That time Dusknoir entered, and I had a strange but effective idea of running a pseudo Gravity team. DynamicPunch, Shadow Sneak, Pain Split and Gravity was his moveset. But I couldn't make Gravity with only one member, and then I remembered that a certain Grass Pokemon could learn it... and it was the bizarrest set I've ever used! I chose Dusknoir over Dusclops because of the power and Gravity.
I just needed a revenge killer to complete this team. It had to be powerful, and had to get awesome coverage. Mamoswine has a 130 base Attack with Ice Shard, and is a beast undr Gravity, where it could abuse 100% accurate Icicle Crash and Stone Edge. Well, my team was done, and I thought it was the best around...
...but the life is a little box of surprises
For my sadness, Rotom-S sucks. He's too slow and not too powerful, and Air Slash is kinda weak. To make things worse, I couldn't handle stall and heavy walls very well, especially from anoying Pranksters. Baton Pass chains also destroyed my team. I hated to do this, but Rotom-S had to leave. I'd like a stronger version of Rotom-S, but with the power to break stall and walls without needing to use Trick, and with a hell lot of power. Thundurus was the first change I made on this team, and it worked wonderfully! But something still was fishy...
Rotom-S may not be powerful of fast, but he's sturdy, or at least my version. Thundurus isn't Sturdy, and the lack of Air Slash hurts. Fightings were again giving my team trouble. Even Dusknoir couldn't handle them well, especially Scrafty. I needed something not named Reuniclus (I have personal reasons to not use him) to counter that pesky wrestlers. I found Gliscor after testing Claydol in the place of Mamoswine. While Claydol wasn't very ... appealing, a Ground-type with resistance to Fighting was what I needed. So Mamo had to leave to give Gliscor a place in the spotlight.
This team was very, very slow after Mamoswine's departure. Yes, there was Shadow Sneak from Dusknoir, but it's Shadow Sneak from Dusknoir. Additionally, with two Flying-types, it was hard to keep playing under Gravity. You may think that what I've did was foolishness, but I traded a Fighting immunity for ANOTHER weakness, but the opponent sometimes didn't knew it, because it's the tricky Zoroark. Fast, with an unusual and helpful signature move, and fantastic coverage.
Well, this is the end of the preview.

Alma Negra (BlacK Soul in english) was one of the villains of the El Chapulín Colorado show. He was a mean pirate that put some of his crew to bury a treasure chest, but his crew forgot where they've put it. Knowing that he may never be able to see his treasure again, he intended to kill his crew. Then, el Chapulin Colorado arrives, but he's locked in a jail with the rest of Alma Negra's crew. Chapulin and the crew then try everything to escape from the jail)

Peterete (Zoroark [M]) @ Choice Scarf

Peterete didn't appeared as much as Valdés' other personas, but this short-tempered and stupid burglar is one of his memorable character. He and his jumbled partner Chompiras always tried to steal everything, from houses to cars to people, but Chompiras always made something to screw up with the scheme. Peterete then slapped Chompiras and bullied him with agressive words.

Super Sam (Heatran [M]) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid nature (+ Spe; - Atk)
Ivs: 30 SpA

"Oh yeah, time is money!" A fusion of both Superman and Uncle Sam, he is a parody of the United States on when the series was broadcasting, around the 70's. He is Chapulin's rival, even though both are heroes, but Chapulin is mexican, while Super Sam is american. He always carried a bag with money representing the monetary power of the US that time.

Rascabuches (Ferrothorn [M]) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Iron Barbs
Evs: 244 HP / 88 Def / 176 SpD

Rascabuches or Racha Cuca in portuguese, is another recurring villain of El Chapulín Colorado. Rascabuches is a bad cowboy from the Old West. In his most notable appearance, he owned a well, where to be able to take water from it, someone would have to pay Rascabuches 5 bucks or a bag of alfalfa. Chapulín fell for love with his daughter.

Tripaseca (Gliscor [M]) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Evs: 160 Atk / 252 Def / 96 SpD

Tripaseca (Dry gut in english), the most recurring character of El Chapulín Colorado, is Chapulín's arch-nemesis. He is a mobster who is sometimes teamed up with two men, and always try to his old childhood friend, Chapúlin. In an episode, he forged his own deat just to try to bury Chapulín. But in one episode, he almost died and who saved him? Chapulín Colorado!

Don Ramón (Keldeo) @ Leftovers

Don Ramón or Seu Madruga in portuguese. Also known as Ron Damón, rheumatic chimpanzee, scarecrow, and many other names. One of the protagonists of the series El Chavo del 8 and the king of all comic characters. Almost no one reach his toes. He's a widower who lives in a small villa owned by Señor Barriga, for whom Ramón owes 14 months of rental. He is awlays slapped in his face by Doña Florinda, a woman who thinks he's the reason of al problems on the villa. Ramón lives with his daughter Chilindrina, and she, Chavo (the main protagonist) and Quico (son of Doña Florinda) always annoy the poor Ramón. There's more about him, but this is a RMT, not a biography.
