The Slurp Squad
#Slurpuff4Prez #Slurpee #SlurpuffPower #DragonKiller #BellyDrum

After a lot of thinking I decided to make yet again 1 more Slurpuff team even though i made one yesterday. The reason I decided to make a Slurpuff team was because I wanted a team that could really pack a punch. Something that would give me a great win ratio, something great. Of course I had to make the team based around Slurpuff because 90% of my wins come from him so here you have it, The Slurp Squad v2!

I chose the core between Slurpuff and Mega Gallade as I did last time I made a Slurpuff team because they work so well together as Mega Gallade hits Steel types with Close Combat and hits Poison types with Zen Headbutt while Slurpuff hits all of his weaknesses neutrally. As said last time, I also have a lot of fun using Mega Gallade because it's so easy to set up Swords Dance and it also comes with a bit of a surprise since no one ever uses him.

I chose Jirachi instead of Excadrill because I realized my team doesn't usually have a problem with Spikes/SR/TS/Leech Seed anyways. Jirachi is also a good Pokemon with Slurpuff as it hits Poison types with Zen Headbutt, is immune to Poison and is resistant to Steel. Another thing Jirachi helps with is being able to heal my main sweepers via Healing Wish, giving them full health. Also, the main reason I chose Jirachi to be honest, was to get rid of Excadrill. (I hate Excadrill) Also I forgot to mention I chose Jirachi over Excadrill because they both had Stealth Rocks. PS: Jirachi is my lead.

As I chose him before, Thundurus-T is amazing for this team. He covers Landorus-T via HP Ice, he is a great counter to Talonflame (Slurpuff's arch nemesis, as well as Mega Gallade's), he has a good typing, ETC. Not to mention Thundurus-T gets Focus Blast, meaning he OHKO's most Steel types. He also gets Agility, and when Agility is paired up with 145 base Special Attack, lives are lost.

I added a Gengar+Ambipom core because for one: I needed a Spin-blocker and two: I needed a cleaner. I wanted to go with a different cleaner then Weavile because all the team would be is last team except with 2 new Pokemon now it's three! so I chose one of my favorite Pokemon, Ambipom. Ambipom is such an underrated cleaner it's just sad. I once just mentioned Ambipom in a chatroom and everyone went berserk saying this and that about how Ambipom sucks! I personally love Ambipom though <3. Most of the time when Ambipom uses Fake Out he does more than a quarter of the opposing Pokemon's health! IDK, I just really like Ambipom and stuff. I chose Gengar alongside Ambipom because I wanted Gengar to be the one to counter Ghost types Ambipom has trouble with. Gengar also helps kill the Ghost types that threaten Mega Gallade with Shadow Ball STAB. Also look at this depressing picture:

The Team's Movesets
slurpuff_by_dashinghero-d6p3ch7.png
Powerpuff (Slurpuff) @
10.png

Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 180 HP / 128 Atk / 200 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Drain Punch
- Play Rough
- Belly Drum
The EV's I chose for Slurpuff are slightly confusing so bear (<-- is that right or is it bare?) with me here. 200 speed EV's make Slurpuff's final speed 230. 230 x 2 (from the Unburden boost when Belly Drum is used) = 460. That gives Slurpuff enough speed to outspeed anything in the meta. 128 attack EV's makes Slurpuff's final attack stat 250. 250 x 4 (from the Belly Drum) = 1000 giving Slurpuff exactly 1000 attack in-game and then the rest of the EV's are for Slurpuff's HP giving him a better chance of taking a hit. These EV's were designed of course by me :), now onto the moves. Facade over Return/Frustration is in case Slurpuff ends up getting burned by Will-O-wisp or Scald... or something... it can also hit what Drain Punch and Play Rough can't. Drain Punch is for getting health back (because of the Belly Drum) and it can hit Steel types hard. Play Rough is pretty self explanatory, same thing goes for Belly Drum.

Get-llade (Gallade-Mega) @
galladite.png

Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Swords Dance
- Ice Punch
Mega Gallade's EV's are pretty self explanatory so I don't have to explain them... YAY. Close Combat and Zen Headbutt are Gallade's main STAB moves, capable of doing a lot of damage after a SD boost. Zen Headbutt can also hit Poison types, while Close Combat can hit Steel types, as talked about before. Swords Dance is self explanatory. Ice Punch is for hitting flying types that threaten Mega Gallade and also has good neutral coverage.

WishMaker (Jirachi) @
Leftovers.png

Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Careful Nature
- Zen Headbutt
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Healing Wish
Jirachi is the teams lead as said before and is pretty self explanatory as well. This is really the basic Jirachi-lead set so I don't think I have to explain myself but I did end up changing the EV's a little bit. You see I wanted to have a slow U-Turn to get Slurpuff out safely so I got rid of the 32 EV's in speed and just put them in bulk. I also balanced the SpD and regular defense more too. Also the set originally had Iron Head for flinch HAX but I changed it to Zen Headbutt so I could have better Poison Coverage.

Mr-T (Thundurus-Therian) @
lifeorb.png

Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Agility
Thundurus-T is the main special sweeper of this team and works FANTASTICALLY after an agility boost. Mr-T is also the only real check to Talonflame I have so I like to keep him very safe most of time which is why he works so well with Jirachi as Jirachi has Healing Wish. The EV's and moves are pretty self explanatory and are the basic sets of Thundurus-T so I'll just leave it here.

Gaygar (Gengar) @
lifeorb.png

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Taunt
- Focus Blast
Gengar is a really great stallbreaker in OU and on my team. Taunt makes sure stallers and sweepers are shutdown. Focus Blast can OHKO certain versions of Chansey and Shadow Ball and Sludge Wave are Gengar's STAB moves. I forgot to mention in the teambuilding section but Gengar is also my counter to Mega Metagross due to the fact that Gengar's faster, is more of a Special attacker and has STAB Shadow Ball.
ambipom.jpg

6 Fingers (Ambipom) @
lifeorb.png

Ability: Technician
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Fake Out
- Power-Up Punch
- Pursuit
Ambipom is the teams cleaner as talked about before and surprisingly is a pretty good one. (not to me, but to you) Fake Out has priority and with all the buffs Ambipom has, including STAB, Technician, Atk EV's and Life Orb most of the time it does more than a quarter of the opposing Pokemon's health which is pretty dang good for Fake Out. Aerial Ace is a good reliable move able to hit Fighting types that threaten Ambipom. Power Up Punch is the Fighting type move of choice due to it boosting Ambipom's attack and Pursuit is for trapping Psychic types like Espeon and such.
Me fighting a pretty balanced team consisting of three starters: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-436941820 Me fighting a Wobbufet? http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-436944105 Me fighting a pretty good looking Mega metagross team: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-436953996 Lol: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-437042417

Mega Metagross, Skarmory/Ferrothorn, Toxicroak, BB Talonflame, Mega Alakazam, Mega Steelix/Mega Aggron, Contrary Serperior.
