Hey, guys! This is a team that i created recently with the objective to use Contrary Serperior (new favorite mon :]), the most new Grass-type Special Sweeper o/
So... Here we go!
This is the team:
Serperior @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 20 HP / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]/[Ground]
- Gastro Acid
Now with Serperior in BL (PU to OU in a month lol), I was thinking in have fun with this new little monster in OU while playing competitive at the same time and I wanted counter Water-types like Slowbro, Keldeo (I bet he'll Icy Wind you) and Azumarill with STAB Leaf Storm. As a Special Sweeper, Leaf storm is the main move (hit stronger and wins a free Nasty Plot) and Dragon Pulse to hit things that resist a Leaf Storm. You can choose what kind of HP you'll use, but HP fire has a better coverage (bat Heatran will wall you). The most strange move on this set, Gastro Acid, works a lot against Unaware Clefable, Guts and Poison Heal users, and the best: helps you a lot against M-Altaria. Can you think in a Altaria without Pixilate? I bet you couldn't. This set is simple, the Ev spread has 20 HP to a little bulk, as it doesn't really need 252 in speed.
Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Calm Nature
- Magnet Rise
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Foul Play
I choosed Klefki 'cause it has a great synergy with Serperior, resisting to its weaknesses (except Fire) and helping the rest of the team. EDIT: I changed the physically defensive set for the Standard Specially defensive set 'cause if Heatran fells so early, i stayed with no protection against Special Attackers. and my Hazard Setter, tank some punches and cripple the opponents with Prankster T-Wave. Magnet Rise makes Landorus-T useless against this, while making some pressure with Spikes. Foul Play to pressure physical attackers to not set up.
Heatran @ Leftovers/Air Baloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Taunt/Earth Power
- Roar
Heatran is here to complete my Core along with Klefki and Serperior and to be my SR user. Specially defensive set, can take things like M-Manectric, taunt Defog users like Latis and Mandibuzz and phaze the opponent's team with Roar, as well stop Baton Pass users and the most important: Gives me a Fire Imuunity, 'cause three of my Pokémon are weak to Fire. You can be a little offense putting Earth Power to catch opposing Heatran. Lava Plume hits a little strong and punish switches like Azumarill and Landorus-T. You can use Air Baloon if the ground weakness disturbs you.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 32 SpA / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Our loved (and hated) Wash Machine is here just cause Talonflame can destroy my team if it is SD set, and i wanted something to pivot and gain monentum in the game. The Ev spread is a little standard too, but with a little investment in Special Attack to 3HKO Mega Slowbro after a Calm Mind. The best is the Will-o-Wist to cripple physical attackers and help Serperior to spam Leaf Storm, and the most important: is my Imunnity to T-Wave and Ground-type moves (except Mold Breaker users).
Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Atk / 116 Def / 84 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
Scizor is here cause it has a good synergy with the rest of the team, and a was looking for a Defog user (don't wanna suffer with SR), and the most important: gives me safe switches against a lot of things, like opposing Serperior, Kyurem-B, to the Latis,Ttar, Excadrill, M-Altaria(...) A bulky-offensive Defog Scizor to take care with fairy-types with SD + Bullet Punch and keeping Roost for longevity. You can use U-turn over SD to pivot and bring a partner surely. This Ev spread makes Kyurem-B Specially Based Mixed Attacker's Earth Power in a 3HKO.
Gallade-Mega (M) @ Galladite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Knock Off
Mega Gallade is here to be our Wallbreaker and Physicall Sweeper, making Serperior's job easier. (and I was trying to use him too o/)
Standard Ev spread, and after he Mega-Evolves, gives a nice speed control along with Serperior. With Knock Off, if helps a lot against Leftovers/Poison Heal users, as well with Choice Itens Users (in a predict). With SD, Zen Headbutt and Close Combat, he can make holes in the opposing team, which his teammates really appreciate.
That's my first RMT, hope you liked, and if you have some hints for me, they are welcome!
PS: I put in XY OU, but this team is ORAS OU lol
PS2: Actually, I got a 12/3 battles with this team!
PS3: There's a replay of this team here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/oususpecttest-211736735
One more thing: in this replay i tried to use a Reflect Type Starmie, but it didn't work very well cause I couldn't enter surely in front of things like Kyurem-B. That's it guys!
